2 years, 2 months ago @earnesta.brooks7123 I have had relatives and acquaintances who moved to the USA. They had a visas to work in Maine in the sixties and seventies. They got drafted during the Vietnam era. One did not go back and they other did two years in the US army during the Vietnam war. They moved back to Canada, after he finished his 2 years, he moved back to Canada. The one who did not report for service to the army, moved to,Ontario, and the guy who served two years moved back for Canada, and his wife needs health care that they couldn't afford in the USA.. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 2 months ago @fourwinglmt I’m a Canadian who has been in America since 1998. I can wholeheartedly say I can’t wait to move back to Canada. I feel like I’ve been watching a slow moving train wreck especially the last couple years. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 2 months ago @TheDarthChungus I’m Canadian and while I don’t have to go to a doctor much, I’ve never paid to visit one. Most of my doctor visits are just to get refills for my medication. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 2 months ago @relaxingnature2617 Canada is LARGER than the US -- not smaller 15:56 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 2 months ago @julienmercier2114 The high number of shootings in the US is abnormal and Canadians don’t understand why Americans tolerate this situation. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 2 months ago @nji7772 FYI Vancouver is the 2nd city in the world where the most languages are spoken. More than 170. I lived in Vancouver for 30 years and my grandparents from the late 1930's until they died. All in all, Vancouver was part of my life for over 50 years. You can not compare Van with TO. Vancouver is very multiculteral with not alot of segregation depending on where in Van you are. TO is much larger. No mountains. No oceans. No big evergreen forests or close by trails, ect. I liked the people I met in TO but would never live there again. Van NO ice storms. But yes, Van rains much. It is West Coast after all. Victoria has many more annual sunlight hours. Van is land locked, surrounded by ocean. Most of those from TO speak negatively about BC in general. We would ask them why they are here (VCR) then. I left 12 years ago as Van is now ruined; nothing like it used to be. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 3 months ago @irenerobertson-smith5502 Wouldn't live America at this time and Americans get so caught up in their #2 right children and adults have died and nothing gets done. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 3 months ago @thetotalwarrior Just to give Americans a little context, while we pay taxes to cover doctor or hospital visits and associated costs, we do pay for prescription drugs, dental and vison costs directly. Like in America, many employers offer insurance plans to cover at least some of those expenses. On the other hand, Canada has a serious shortage of medical professionals, largely due to the fact that privatized health care is more lucrative. 3 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 3 months ago @cameroncurrie7208 Our system is not perfect but I had a $ 50.000 dollar surgery with no insurance just paid parking. The poorest person gets the same top notch care. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 3 months ago @betchbetchington6019 I don't understand how anyone could NOT be worried about children getting shot in schools. Once every 10 years is way too much. Now it happens multiple times a year. You really gotta step back and see just how fucking insane it is. Seriously. You really have become desensitized to it and that will be your downfall. This was basically UNHEARD OF less than 30 years ago. You had the Columbine shooting that really shook things up. People talked about that for YEARS after, yet now you have a school shooting and most people can't even remember the name of the school or the city/town it happened in because IT HAPPENS SO FUCKING MUCH.\n\nWAKE UP! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @rolandodonis9029 Hell not.! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @AmanSS890 Would never move to Florida or anywhere in USA reason 1) health care 2)Freedom I have never had people yell racial slurs at me from down the street and don’t get me started on the guns over there . 3)working rights YOU GET PAID vacations here in Canada YOU get paid maternity leave you get Paid sick days Worker rights gets taken more seriously in Canada Retail workers don’t work in a state holiday you get extra pay. Prejudice there is less of it here sure there are people that are jerks but it’s not full blown. There is a viral story about a grocery store that was left unlocked accidentally on a holiday and nothing was stolen . Politeness this is something I have a feeling that lots of people in Canada like to say thwy are on the service but tenth the service not so much . Look what happens during Covid all the niceness went out the door . 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @nathalielevesque7284 I have dual citizenship. Born in Canada. I have a beautiful American mom and a French Canadian dad. I lived in Florida and Maine. Came back to Canada. I always come back to Canada. USA is awesome, but in small doses. I can see myself going back for a couple years when my kids have have all graduated. Universities and health care is more affordable in Canada. Generally, more chill and less amped up as well. lol. I love both my countries though. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @tonytse4905 Tyler, re: school safety. Even though you may not have had experience with school shootings in your particular area, I believe active shooter drills are part of every American school. We don't do that in Canadian schools. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @colinwhite1367 When I visit America, I always just feel anxious about guns. I'm sure it's super rare to actually get shot and stuff, but it's always on my mind. I just can't imagine that theres probably tons of people with guns around. It makes me a lot more afraid of the poor areas, which I find are more extreme in general. This is the main reason. I am also a little uncomfortable with how the public school system is funded differently by area. I'm used to all schools having close to the same standards. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @GuyDudeman The US averages more than 1 school shooting per DAY. Tyler, you may say depending on the area, but in 2023 only 1 state (Wyoming) didn't register a school shooting. It is sad to hear you (the population) have become desensitized to it.\nGun culture bring us to gun laws which brings us back to politics and therein lies the problem. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @leelee287 I am Canadian and I was offered a live changing job opportunity and with the equity in my home at the moment my wife and I would of been able to by a 5000sq home with a swimming pool and palm trees but the thought of of my children going to school in the United States was a flare out no !! Absolutely not ! \nWhat parent would ever send there child to a school with such horrible gun violence. \nAnd it seems like American kids are behind the educational curve ask any random American youth on the street a simple question and there clueless about basic things unless it’s about bling bling and being flashy. \nAmerican is the Wild West 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @mickcnd2657 The old it hasn't touched my life is a typical American response. Until it does. There were almost 2 mass shootings a day (630+) in the US in 2023. Back in the 70s and 80s, I spent a lot of time in the US due to my involvement in sports. Today, you couldn't pay me to step across the border. Ya, all gotta get your shit together. Fascism is knocking at your door. And it's migrating north. Canadians are better educated, and with our diversity, the average Canadian has a deeper understanding of the world. We are a global village unlike the US melting pot. It's a sad statement to make, but the world doesn't love America, just your money. Way back, I loved going to the Sabers games. It was a great night out, and only a quick hop across the border. Those days are long gone, and it breaks my heart. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @blackbears4649 America has some breathtakingly beautiful places and my girfriend and I do Storm chase down there when we get a chance, however we always can't wait to return home. As flawed as Canada can be sometimes, we would never consider moving there at all. It's a great country to visit but it's a NO from us. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @scafgal7242 During the Obama era (he was awesome), yes I would've moved. NOW.....NEVER! tRump sickens us! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @EmmaBadOne For all the reason in the world I have vowed to never even set foot in amerikkka. When planning a flight I wont even plan a stopover there. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 3 months ago @djobert2402 Tyler, Uvalde is a small town, Newtown is a small town... there are shooting anywhere in the US, not only in big cities 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @Catch224life With child birth it's not just helthcare it's labour laws, maturity leave you get 80% of your income for a year as the minimum standards with good jobs giving more. It is also standard to call in sic if your child is sic many jobs give additional sic days for this. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 4 months ago @huotui With regards to giving birth in the US vs Canada is the parental leave, 18 months in Canada vs 6 weeks in the US (if I recall correctly) 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 4 months ago @lylobean He can't even hear what he is saying and the implications of it, where he describes you have to live in certain places with like minded people otherwise what, all the negatives. Insular racist etc etc. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @lylobean I would never consider moving to the US, backward country. Would consider rest of world first. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @RockinMamaT I have visited the US but under no circumstances would I move there 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @shawnyscore6988 Guns, religion and right wing extremists. All things I hate, and find completely useless in the world. A bit too much of that in the US for my taste. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 4 months ago @philipberthiaume2314 My cousin is a renowned medical specialist. Ppl fly in from around the world to see her. She practiced in NY city and she and her scientist husband moved back to Canada. She blamed the insurance system. In Canada, she now sees anyone who needs her and there are no non medical ppl telling her what to offer or not. She says that doctors in the US work for insurance companies and not the patients. In Canada meanwhile, treatment is the priority. 184 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 4 months ago @annieo9468 I have visited the United States many, many MANY, MANY times over the years. I've loved every single visit. The people are warm and lovely....some of your scenery and historic things were more than a joy to behold Would I ever want to move there ? Not even for a second. In fact, sadly, my husband won't even go back for a visit anymore. This is sad to me, but I understand where he is coming from. \nWas sad to say good-bye to our dearest friends who moved to the US, because the job pay and promotion was impossible to say no to. They lasted 2 months and settled for less pay and no promotion to come back home. They found it so weird, that all the new friends they made, thought they were freaks because they didn't own guns. The final straw was when they learned these people were packing when they came to summer barbeques. That was the final straw, and they high-tailed it home. \nIn recent times, a country run by someone I see as a loose cannon, psychopath...makes it a most emphatic NO. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @adrianapizzacalla512 Yea but when you retire are you still covered on fixed income 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @melodybaker458 No...We just got a new big benefit....10 dollar a day daycare, does not effect me but is great for many people. The good of the many outweighs the good of the few 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @scruffscruffeton986 America has nothing to offer me. Been there, done that, wore out the tee shirts. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @ryanbargholz Hey Tyler i love your work. I am a savagely loyal Albertan. \nAlberta is the best province. Change my mind. \nBut if Alberta starts slipping to the Left with another NDP/Socialist government, i would move to the US no question. Not just anywhere though. The 2 coasts are dumpster fires. (No offense if you live there) Canada is messed up like the 2 coasts. Trudeaus MO has been to systematically dismantle this once great, thriving, proud country for 8 long years. With election fraud and more seats in the Maritime provinces than all the Western provinces, and the Federal government bribing those poorer provinces for votes, it may be a long time before the Liberals are removed. And we will eat Crickets in trudeaus dystopian plans for Canadians. This is not a joke. The individual States have much more power than the provinces. Look up Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta, she has done great things in a short time. Mostly fighting Trudeau against his attempts to shut down our provinces oil and gas and farming to save the planet from climate change. ? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @rosimom No thanks, not in this lifetime. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 4 months ago @Richie23OO Tyler you're more than welcome to move up here. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @DarinFrandsen I have traveled to many places in the states and all I can say is it depends so much on where you go. THere are many places that, if I could afford it, would move to (eg Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, Denver) in a heartbeat. Other places (eg Chicago, LA or Seattle ) not so much. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 5 months ago @GreggGies 17:01 Upstate New York is not New York City, which is as far south as you can get in NY State. They're talking about Albany, Syracuse, Plattsburgh. Even rural areas are extremely violent and frightening compared to most Canadian regions. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 5 months ago @peggyannenicholl7318 been watching for quite awhile now. lots of laughs.dont always agreewith you but love your testing of all our goodies from Canada. ...I have introduced this channel to my relatives and friends, they are also enjoying it. could you please give us some information on yourself, have you ever been to Canada, are you married? we would like a more personal person to deal with, keep up the good work. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @gwendolynlathe5415 Never gone to the states. someday visiting. Ok. but to. live no-thanks\n\n guns guns sicko people. Two parties rep or dem. Forget it 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @naomilangevin3944 While there might be wonderful places to see, and interesting people to meet and food to eat, I would never even visit there for more than a day or 2.\n\nSome times traveling by road, it is faster to drive through the states to get to other parts of Canada, and that level of visiting would be barely ok.\n\nYour government is actively making it unsafe to be alive there, for so many types of people. Unless you are part of the elite, making gallons of money, your government doesn't even want you to live. It's horrific.\n\nAmerica is bad y'all. Just so bad. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @ryanb4541 I would love to leave Canada and move to the USA..... Canada has nothing fun and nothing good (no the healthcare is shit.... don't even)..... there's a different vibe in the USA and in Canada it's cold it's depressing it's full of immigrants and the people are NOT as friendly as you think........ Canada FKn SUCKS!!! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @Saintly2 Funnily enough, last night I was watching CTV’s National News and they were discussing the change in our weather and they showed a lot of coverage of how this weather is affecting the USA. I thought of you right away… and you’re wondering if we ever see any of your news. Every night, your country seems to be featured in our National News alongside our own news. 0 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 5 months ago @Transforming2024 Nut uhh chunce. Hell no. Never ever. Babylon is falling. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @christastone813 I’ve lived in America 15 years because I married an American. Americans are definitely more difficult to get along with. That’s one reason I would consider moving back one day, I miss Canadian people. I live in Florida and am originally from Vancouver 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @RichardStephens-iw9sb Over 70 million people voted for Trump in 2020. Live there? NO 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @MrIanD1 Canadian not a chance get sick go broke 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 5 months ago @stephanelarin1748 I live part time in the USA during winter. Absolutely enjoy the warm climate. It is certainly a different experience. English is somehow annoying since I am French but this is expected and can live with it. From my point of view, it's hard to say if the overall experience is better or worse. Will not consider moving in the US full time. Quebec is my home and I am deeply attached to it. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
