2 years, 8 months ago @GrandHoff I travelled a bit in New York state (upstate, near to the border), into Pennsylvania and the biggest difference I've found is the sheer level of dust/dirt on everything and how it looks like you've stepped about 20 years back in time if you are not near a major city centre. The datedness being present even at major border crossings. I recently drove from Niagara Falls, ON to Niagara Falls, NY and the difference was STAGGERING. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @CanadaKeith American problem - you might have health coverage while you're working. But lose your job, your not only unemployed but you've no health care coverage. Double whamy. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @kencochrane2885 Hope they brought dual citizenship and aren't too far from the border, not being able to afford healthcare can end your life in America. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @EricDeWellRead It's more about living down to expectations. The biggest disparity is the gulf in education - Americans are so poorly educated it's actually quite frightening - you have to dumb down so much to just have basic conversations. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Laidbackand My ancestors came from Schenectady NY to Ontario Canada as a loyalist Refugee.( him and his brothers served under Sir John Johnson during the revolution)\nI am so grateful being born in Canada.???.\nOur health care may not perfect but, I haven’t heard of anyone mortgaging their home as they would in the states over health care. 7 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @katelynmarie2261 I’m still confused about the copay thing. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @adriancrow1143 I’ll move if I can be with a guy that looks like him. Cute!! 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @matti3658 junk food and fast food is much worse in the us....and there are security guards everywhere....also, tons of fake religious universities...so odd 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @theromulanwarhawk I've lived in the States for a time. Best takeaway: Don't get sick. Still, it's like anywhere else, people-wise. Some nice, some not so nice, but that's everywhere. But paying for my monthly medications at American prices would have bankrupted me. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @johnfalconer4846 I’m a Canadian snowbird. Most of day to day life is not much different between Canada and USA. Sales tax is a little higher in Canada, and some of the insurance rules and options are a bit different. Overall costs seem a bit higher in USA. However, health costs are way(!) different. Last year I had some lung blood clots in Arizona. I went to local hospital and was admitted for 22 hours. I was investigated quickly and efficiently, and discharged on a blood thinner. \n\nThe hospital costs were $21,000 US$. A foreigner coming to Canada and being admitted would likely have paid ~$2,000-$3,000. The drug cost for one month supply in Arizona was $750 US$. In Canada, it costs $25/month.\n\nThe US politics are certainly more entertaining in the USA than in Canada. Also, the recognition of military and military service is much more a big deal in USA 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @jenytr1171 This man sound very annoying. America is suck buddy. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @stephenmcbride6359 Im a Canadian who got cancer. Went through 8 surgeries, Kemo and recieved the majority of my medicine.... All for free. This was included in my uni health care. Even an ambulance ride to the hospital is free. Why would I want to live down there. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @polarbear4612 My 28 year old son was laid off during Covid. While laid off he suddenly developed epilepsy and started having clusters of severe seizures and needed periodic hospitalization.\nIn Canada he was given 5 days of 24/7 seizure monitoring. From that they determined brain surgery was the best option so he got the surgery and is now recovering and getting therapy for recovering some of the language skills that were affected by the surgery. He has had no seizures since the surgery.\n\nThe point of all this is that in the USA my son would have had no coverage for any of this and we would all either be bankrupt or he would remain untreated. Our cost in Canada has been $0. 36 zJycj8c73sQ

2 years, 8 months ago @rbg3816 Tyler, Thankyou for being so open-minded and honest about both the USA and my country Canada…you live in a beautiful and geographically diverse country which I love to visit and vacation in. Americans are also very friendly people ! \nHaving said that, when I see what is going on in the USA ( and the world for that matter) I consider myself extremely fortunate to live in this amazing country…I am an extremely proud Canadian who loves to travel, but always happy to call Canada my home. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @john-p1n6l canada sucks but id never cross ther border into bidens nut house 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @CommonWealther I lived in the US for 30 years. I hated every year, except for having my sons there. My American husband is a staunch NRA supporter. At the 30 year mark, when I gave him an ultimatum. I gave him 30 years down there, and the time had come where he needed to do 30 years in Canada. We've been in Canada for 6 years, and he doesn't ever want to go back.\nI feel for the new mothers, who only get 6 weeks maternity leave (8 weeks for C-Section).\nCanadian Mums get a full year. Nurturing your new baby is necessary for a well-balanced child. You can't bond in 6 weeks. \nYour health insurance is nuts. We paid $1500/mo. just for our family. Then you have a $5k deductible first! Just walking into the ER is $500 and THEN add on labs, x-rays, meds, etc. My son was in mental health treatment and our insurance capped mental health at $25k for life. \nThe biggest slap up my head, was when I found out I CAN'T collect my SSI. I paid a lot of taxes, since we made 6 figures/year. So, now I'm screwed, since they won't pay a former Permanent Resident. Had I been a citizen, I could get it. My husband is a PR in Canada, waiting to take his citizenship test. If he applies for SSI, he needs to go down to the States for 30 days and nights, annually. \nI'm from Toronto, born and raised and I am so happy to have my feet back in my own country. My boys are still there, as well as my grandchildren. Thankfully, they fly up twice a year. You couldn't pay me to move back. 4 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Mr.Crowley696 Canadian’s are coddled easily manipulated soft people. Actually they are just plain stupid. Look at their Prime Minister they keep electing. Canada will be the first country controlled by an unelected oligarchy. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Kupacolypse Interesting video. I appreciate your take.\nBoth countries have been undergoing dramatic changes in the last decade. So much so that I wonder if we will even recognize them in another decade. I’d say the militarization of police forces is something both countries have in common, as well as totalitarian leanings. The judiciary in both countries seems to have been corrupted, with laws created favoring corporations. Both countries are heavily propagandized. In terms of foreign policy, there is no difference. Canada is essentially Americas puppet.\nWhen it comes to standards of living, more than ever it depends what city/region, etc. \nApart from healthcare, there isn’t much difference. Both countries have been importing large numbers of foreigners. This has only added to the existing segregation of classes, ethnicities, and cultures. Over time both countries have become more internally divided.\nFrankly speaking, I don’t have much hope for either country. Not when the world is increasingly becoming polarized, and our leaders choose war over rationality. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @ryans413 If healthcare was better I’d live in the USA. Taxes are cheaper way more history there bigger cities warmer climates but I’m not paying hundreds to thousands just to get some medical attention where in Canada it’s free. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @leoyoung7547 I will never return to the USA. Way too dangerous. You folks are already in boiling water, the frog is dying. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @ishmairdow Good time watching you, as always. But, Tyler, your eyes look dry. Try drops or wipe them with warm wet cloth. ... or pay to see a doctor. *wink* 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Winstonsmom Canada’s health system is amazing, as long as you are not sick. Wait times and rules around who qualifies for particular tests or treatments have gotten ridiculous and sometimes frightening. I personally have to wait a month or so to get an appt with my doc. My sister in law in NC gets Cadillac care in the US but has great insurance. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @robbrown1786 Did he say a 10 to 15 minutes wait for a hospital in Canada it 10 to 15 hours you will be dead before they see they don't give a shit how goes to a hospital for pink I you would wait two days 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @zoidmo3388 I loved living in the States. I loved the USA Patriotism of the ppl. (exclude the rare arrogant ones but I'm a tough cookie from Canada & arrogance can be found anywhere) I loved the historical federal buildings in towns/cities. So much well preserved history. Kudos to ya'all. On a negative note...Absolutley NO RESPECT for NY DemoRat Mayor Adams paying for bus loads & cab loads of ' illegals 'to walk into Canada! U piece of shite Adams! 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @imperius_lxxvii9999 in Canada you can have 30 childs and you will pay 0$.. you can have 10 car accidents and you will pay 0$ hospital fees.. there is none. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @sammcturk8898 The wait time in your hospitals are quicker because no one can afford to go and only go when in dire need,we go to the doctor or hospital when we are concerned about something. So Not really comparable. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @nightrider396 Canada best country in the world can work down the street not get shot kids can go to school not be worried just better place to live 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @doylejodi7502 Ok, so I live near a border crossing so I’ve been over to shop on many occasions. (Never lived there though.) Here’s an example of a time I was over there, waiting in line at customer service at a store. There was a man in front of me. I patiently waited for him to finish and then went to step forward in his place. A woman behind me basically pushed me out of the way, literally cut me, and then started interacting with the employee like it was an everyday normal thing to do! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Manners are something you learn as a child. I had no idea how I’m inconsiderate and rude some people could be. (I have many other examples but of course when I see something like that, I really notice it.)\nNever mind the lack of respect for human life when you’re trying to drive on a Freeway with some. That’s actually terrifying. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @fasteddy-fd3kr No it's not that bad. It's BS 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @kregh5706 Police in Canada are armed. Everywhere. From small town to the big cities. It’s not England. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @exposingproxystalkingorgan4164 The USA has common gun ownership, almost no social programs, and you would not have to rely on police to save you from scum. Canada has social programs, but too much gun control. The best type of country would have social programs along with every citizen having their own armory. ? 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @ckarding6020 Was recently in the US had a minor infection which I use polysporin which can buy off the shelf the way that a person can buy aspirin. Was shocked that I had to go and see a Dr. and get a prescription. I chose to suffer until I got home. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @henry5128 Alberta Saskatchewan Manitoba and NWT must separate from the CORRUPT GODLESS SOULLESS DEMONIC FEDERAL GOVERNMENT 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @ardidsonriente2223 Just a note. Canadian people ALREADY live in america. America is a continent. The USA is a country whitin america. Saying a Canadian moved to america is incorrect, and also discriminatory and frustrating for americans that don't relate to the USA. Please get a proper demonym. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @sheldorleconcher8870 There is NOTHING that would convince me to move south - mental down there. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @michaele1278 If I could bring my kids, I'd live in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming area. Very nice there. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 8 months ago @ruthwilson7451 I know for a fact that I would never live in the u s a. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @jonnypacano I am a dual citizen, spending 6 months/year in Canada, working remotely for a Canadian bank. It was pretty comfortable living in Canada years ago, however I'd prefer living in the US now. Canadian advantage over USA, healthcare system, is deteriorating very fast, with hordes of new immigrants coming every year ... Canada soon will be a hostile to the US country with current levels of immigration from Asian countries unfriendly to USA. I am considering leaving Canada for good, heading back to the US or moving to Portugal/Spain, selling a house in Canada will allow buying a nice property elsewhere. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @cartercarter6126 Freaks! Lol. American folks are totally different to canucks eh! I have many American friends and they are great! But two totally different perspectives as to whats important in life. In Canada there are a few things that are important...1. Hockey, Beer Stores, and Beaver tail pastries. Thats about it. Carter.... Canada 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @patricklarsh7063 I loved every place I've been in America but for 1 thing. State Troopers hate Canadians. I was pulled over in Ohio twice by local police to warn me where the State Troopers were and to drive carefully. It's the license plate thing 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @paulbadics3500 If we didnt have idiot trudo & his insane climate policies we would have developed our oil & gas resources & would be exporting from both coasts to help europe get off russian supply & help asia get off dirty coal, lower global energy prices especially domestic reducing mass inflation & we would have billions more for our beloved social programs 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @krispayne729 Back about 15 years ago I was down in Indiana on Ohio. In the people I met in the Midwest states. Great people laid back hard workers. America might have its problems, but so does Canada. Lot of similarities between both countries. And as for Canada's free health care. It's not so good right now. People are having hard time finding doctors. People wait hours to get into appointments. The only thing nice about free healthcare. Is it's free for some people and relatively affordable for other people. But it's not the best healthcare in the world. Like people said, least in America, you can go in and see a doctor and you're in and out pretty quick. But if you don't have free health care yet pay for it 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @krispayne729 A case of cooler's light here in Canada. That's cooler than the Americas, about $60. Because half of the cost of a case of beer is taxes. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @user-ub1gz8lx8c Canada was good, but it has gone downhill immencely in the past decade or so. We are now in the top 5 countries on earth for housing cost to income ratio. Many Canadians can't even afford a home or rent here any more. A one bedroom apartment in Toronto where I live can go for 2,400 a month. Millions of immigrants arriving and the economy has largely stagnated despite all these new people. Lots of blindly partisan Liberals here though that will never admit the country is in serious decline. Don't let them lecture you about healthcare and social safety nets either there are literally MILLIONS of people in Ontario our largest province where I live that can't even access a family doctor even if they were willing to pay for one. With the number of people not being able to access basic medical services here I would not call it unviersal any more. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @constancemackey7951 BTW. Newfoundland did not join Canada until 1949 prior to that we were British colony. So here in Newfoundland, we do say our words different and we are a lot different than most. Canadians. Come check it out if you like. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @constancemackey7951 Ok Tyler you do get Canadians right at times BIT. Please review your language just for an example you use the word sorry as Canada would say it and sorry as an American one say it you guys have more of an a where there should be a no, so sorry Esso RRY and Sherry Esso are are why are different words\n\nI really enjoy your laughter. I really enjoyed learning a little titbits of stuff that you have, but are you really learning anything from us us Canadian to you enjoy to talk about. Maybe you should come visit the furthest east you can go and learn what a true Canadian is nothing beats a Newfoundlander. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
