2 years, 8 months ago @tedn6855 What's with this guy's weird accent. Sounds like an American pretending to be canadian and doing one of those canadian accents Americans think we sound like. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @graygoose739 Lived in Upstate NY to attend graduate school. Loved the community and made life-long friends. But, when I returned to Canada, I realized I had taken on a NY brashness in dealing with others. Actually scared a young McDonald’s worker by using a common NY style demanding tone. Opps had to relearn to being a polite patient Canadian. 15 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @SquirrelGamez Ah, the USA, the land of freedom... freedom to get bent over by the system.\nBtw, police are armed in Canada too. The difference is it takes longer in Canada than in most States to become a police officer, and most act and present like professionals. They are also not seen everywhere, just the occasional police cruiser. When you see a lot of police here, the feeling it gives is that they are needed, which means there is trouble. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @davidbrock2450 Canada is the most educated Country in the world. 55% of Canadians have post secondary education. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @yournanna866 I don’t care for guns or kids getting shot while going to school. So that’s a big no for me and the USA . 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @yournanna866 Being old and living in Canada I sure appreciate my health care. 15 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @danielbell8679 Mate, you're a United Statesian. Canadians are North Americans, as are you. Mexicans are Central Americans; they're Amercans. Ecuadorians are Americans. You're not America; you're part of the Americas. Leave it. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @karinvaleri7130 Born in Vancouver, moved to US , married an American, moved back to Canada, 5 years, moved back to U.S.for my employment, 11 years, then back to Canada for good...since 1996...got out before the gangs took hold, etc. Got rid of the green card. Its in a mess right now..started a business, near my older parents, decent old age pension/ canada pension and prescription cheaper, free medical, which needs improving, but at least i don't have to pay for dr. Visits and surgeries 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @smushbrain I’d rather have a gun than live in a communist country 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Jordansmokerson Canada sucks more. Guaranteed. I would know. I'm Canadian. Canada is National Socialist, like Germany 75 years ago. Our doctors are fired because they disagree with the government. I don't have healthcare because my doctor is terrible. We get our healthcare from the Americans, then the government takes a dump on it and tries to feed it to us like cornflakes. I wish I had the money to be nationless. Democrats are turning America into another dump like Canada. Warning: stop voting for the left. They're not on your side. They're in it for themselves. That's why they don't want you to have guns, like Canada. So the government can just step on you, and you have no rights to defend yourself. Just like Sucky Canada. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @therainforest4314 WEF, it's WEF's desires, and Trudeau along with the NDP are just doing their bidding. They do know what they are doing, and that is WEF's prescribed crippling of our nation for Chana's easy take-over. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @DeeDee-mv2uw I'm Canadian but It's hard to compare Canada to the US. The US has a population of approx 335 million people and Canada has just reached 40 mil. There's bound to be more crime etc in the US. I would choose Canada for that reason, plus the health care. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @jessehachey2732 3:15 - hey dude, that first guy with “missing the social safety net\n4:15 - along the same lines as the previous, health-care ??‍♂️ It’s a huge one! Your insurance costs are absolutely insane, the whole system is corrupt. It sadly drives up the costs exponentially for everyone, especially us Canadians who have to import from US them $12000 (yes 12K) US custom manual wheelchairs ? or 900$ wheelchair cushions, 800$ rigid carbon back, or 900 feeding tubes (that’s not even accounting for bags, syringes, adapters, sterile stuff galore). Err, you get my drift! ? That’s like a several 100s of % mark-up, costs are insanely inflated just because they’re considered medical devices, and regulated by FDA and Health ?? intensely (makes importing some brands is a nightmare, I mean fun time). There are workarounds and exchange groups, so you never know. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @ajporoznik9738 I don't understand the CO pay system in the states. I've never had to pay a dime to see my Dr, whom I have had to see regularly as I have Multiple Sclerosis. Also I never had needed to pay for prescriptions. Maybe I'm just lucky and am very thankful for it. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @nopenoway9875 I would never leave Canada, especially for the United States. Lol\nI don’t understand why Americans think Canada is a lesser country l. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @CanadianFedUpEh I was really offended by this video! I am Canadian, live in Canada and absolutely HATE CANADA!! \nEverything said about USA and how bad certain things are, it’s the exact same here in Canada! Canadians can’t have a normal conversation about politics or religion! Look at what’s happening here? Locking up pastors or anyone preaching the bible! And don’t get me started about politics here! Absolute disgusting politics here and the insane amount of bat shit crazy left wing people that believe everything on msm as if it’s golden. Liberal government here has got to be the worst government in the entire world! Once upon a time they were normal and like all other political parties but now since the plandemic they are all insane! These left wingers think that the vax was a good thing and line up to get pics done with our top criminal Justin Trudeau! It’s sickening! \nSo there is absolutely no difference between Canada and USA! We have horrible cities that are dangerous just like USA. We have horrible pathetic cops that are power hungry and out to destroy lives. I know cops in Canada who were put through hell because they stood up for doing the right thing against other corrupt dangerous cops! They are a gang that wear uniforms and have the rights to abuse their powers. \nThis bothered me so much as it’s certainly calling the kettle black! People thinking they are better than others! \nIt would do the entire world some good to pick up the bible, read it and repent! Every single person on this earth needs to! 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @stefaniem129 Canada has turned into a shithole with Trudeau. We are living under a dictator. It's comparable to living in a blue state. Unfortunately, we don't have any 'red' provinces. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @MidnaBoa I think it's bad here now. People calling lgbt+ people psychopaths. You can see so many homeless now with no choice but to live in tents. Panhandlers on every major intersection. The roads are full of large suped up pick-up trucks and they act like they own the roads. I'm starting to feel unwelcome in my own country. But I do see it as all of this being imported by the US, so I defintely wouldn't move there. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @lindaensley3201 I immigrated for work. Couldn't stand the way Americans think. So selfish with no concern for their fellow citizens. Came home as soon as I could. Will never go back. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @MemoryAmethyst I spent five years in Houston before I returned to Canada. I cut my hand and although I had good medical coverage, it cost 8 grand out of pocket for basically 7 stitches. I had an MRI in Canada and it cost three dollars for parking at the hospital. The religiousity in the US is everywhere. They pretend to be all about gods love, but believe that gun ownership is somehow a good thing. They are unkind to the poor and don’t want to help non whites. They are trying to ensure a next generation of poor minimum wagers but not allowing abortions because their invisible friend doesn’t like it.During flooding, a gigantic church refused to let people in using insurance concerns as an excuse and people STILL attended the church instead of calling it out and changing venues. At this point, I won’t even visit the US. It’s a ghastly place. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @mmblue3986 Keither Sutherlands Grandfather, Tommy Douglas was the Doctor & Politician from Saskatchewan Canada who brought us Free Healthcare. 43 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @gordonv.cormack3216 Mecidare in the US is sooo complicated. My wife is an ex-pat american and she just had to make a bunch of decisons ... why should she have to play Russian Roulette with government-subsidized coverage? Makes no sense to me. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @gordonv.cormack3216 Education: The US primary and secondary school education system is based on municpal taxes. In Canada, it doesn't matter where you live: The schools get the same funding. This is a big deal. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @gordonv.cormack3216 Regarding upstate NY: The new conservative leader here who wants to form the next government did an ad comparing house prices in Niagara Falls ON with Niagara Falls NY, suggesting he wanted to make the former into the latter by emulating US policies. No Thank You!!!!! 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @gordonv.cormack3216 It is hard to describe the difference in attitude. In Canada, people don't worry. Once when I was in NYC, somebody passed out in a bar and I called 911. Only later did I understand this might've cost him months of pay. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @hazelmaylebrun6243 Canada is not perfect by any means. Lots of room to improve things, and I absolutely love and appreciate Americans. Great folks. But, the fact that any person, rich or poor, no matter who it is, can go to the doctor as many times as they need to without getting a big bill. We do pay for little things. Like... sometimes you pay for crutches or special devices, but for the most part, you don't. It comes out of our taxes.\n\nPlus, couples get a year of maternity leave here. It can be split any way the couple likes. LIke... the mom or dad can have the whole year or they can split it up between them, part mom and part dad gets it. We have unemployment insurance we pay from our taxes, so if you get suddenly laid of from work, ,you get some money coming in for a while to tide you over until you find a new job. And the disabled can get disability coverage too.\n\nOf course, we do pay higher taxes for these things, but... I kinda like that everybody gets healthcare. NO, I'm not into Communism, but having social programs is great. And... um... we do have more education in Canada, and more avenues to get help with tuition. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @REALMAGGIETRUDEAU I left Canada in 1995 for USA and never missed Canada especially now 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @gianfrancofronzi8368 I'm Canadian, besides the health care , you've got to ask yourself what do you get from your government?\nA large army is all I can see, does that mean you expect to fight for your life?\nBasically I wouldn't move to the United States, it's a beautiful country and the people are good, but I would not like to live somewhere where there's no future.\nAnd that is what you can't work on because you don't have the freedom of Our benefits 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @carolynbodnar2334 Biden has the same agenda as Trudeau in Canada. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @lilysix That 10K co-pay for birth could easily have been a complicated birth or a stay in the NICU. The 3500$ co-pay is a simple uncomplicated vaginal birth. So yup. Have a baby in the NICU for a while and the total before insurance bills get up to the hundreds of thousands very very quickly. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @islandgirl45 Hi Tyler, the guy that moved from Toronto to Seattle….of course the weather is better in Seattle, but I live on Vancouver Island and the weather here is comparable to Seattle and very different from the rest of Canada….love your videos ❤️ 8 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @kodak5300 The close and most things are cheaper in the states. Some Canadians go there just to shop. In my opinion US should really get heath coverage. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @rwxstudio7173 We have a nickname for Canadians that spend the winter months down in the States. We call them Snowbirds. These are mostly people who are retired and just want to spend the coldest months in Canada to a place like Arizona or Florida where the winters are more like spring time for us north of the 49th parallel. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @kodak5300 I do not need job benefits for a doctor or surgery everyone in ontario is put on the OHIP plan we all have an OHIP card. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @kodak5300 I am part American from my dad. One thing that stops me from moving to the US is there is no medical coverage. I do not pay to see a doctor. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @rutigert7131 You got the second one wrong. They were concerned about where they were living, schools their kids would be going to, street safety, community support and overall friendliness towards each other. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @myrandacollins706 The $50-100 copay is rent? My little 3 bedroom top floor of a house, in a bad neighborhood is $1400 & utilities 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @david-oval Move? I won't even VISIT the US anymore. I used to travel across the border all the time. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @chrismarsden8958 It's unfortunately true. Even back as far in 1990 the best part of America was seeing it in my rear view mirror as I've always passed the border back into Canada. Sorry but we don't have slums and violence and just the negative feel America has. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @LeMattiekinz USA = Guns & Money... 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @crystalgillis9296 Yes, it's way better up here. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @alisoncircus There are as many police departments in the US as there are police (of all kinds) in Canada. Seriously. You ONLY have ten times our population, and ten times as many cops PER CAPITA. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @geaniegail931 I've recently had experiences with the US healthcare system through my partner, who is American, and I was appalled. I would challenge that the health care is higher quality in the US than Canada. I saw a complete lack of care, unprofessionalism, incompetence, and a bureaucratic mess the likes of which I've never experienced here. Even the premiere hospital in the region couldn't compare to the level of care I have experienced in the larger city hospitals here. Of course, his care did cost several thousand dollars a day, for which they sent him a bill after sending the original bill to the wrong department to get paid (through his insurance). It was a mess, all during which he suffered, had them come up to 2 hours late with his narcotic pain meds, taking up to an hour to answer a call bell, and generally being the antithesis of care. I am very happy that when we first began our relationship, I made it clear that I would never move to the US, and he was okay with that.. In fact, he's very much looking forward to leaving the country of his birth, for whom he served in the military for 20 years, and moving to Canada. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @nominalie This may have already been mentioned below: apart from healthcare (which nowadays is precarious in Canada), in Canada new parents have compensated parental leave (formerly was just 'maternity leave'). The duration and financial support has expanded over time, and there are some differences from province to province, but when I lived in the US the most shocking thing was women pushing out babies and then running back to work within a few weeks. They could technically take a brief period of unpaid leave, apparently, but that's it. Crazy. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @brucehartley4418 @TylerBucket For one of your videos, delve into what America is. This will show you what the USA education system is really like compared to the rest of the world. \n\nBy the way, life expectancy in the USA is the lowest of any Western country. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @johnlandry1393 What is the cost of insurance in The USA? 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @greglongphee2034 America is the world's biggest con-job. It's a playground for its greediest and most sociopathic citizens. the inmates run the asylum.Canada isn't much better. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @brainfreeze1925 I've been to 30 states in my many decades of travel. The US has become a scarier place over the past 20 years. The politics is very partisan, Evangelicals have expanded their influence resulting in less tolerance of others, gun violence is insane, the poor are very, very poor with no way out, the very, very rich don't want to share at all (contrary to Christian teachings), the US version of capitalism verges on slavery (certainly not what Adam Smith envisioned anyway), the race issues are becoming simply stupid, the MAGA supporters and the socialist far left and wokeness are simply beyond comprehension . . . overall, tolerance for differences is becoming lost. People on the left and the right are equally are to blame. \n\nOne of Canadians' favourite activities is to crap on America(ns). This is unfair. There are wonderful places in the US and wonderful people. Collectively though, I think the US is coming apart at the seams. Canada certainly has its warts and our politics and society is becoming polarized too. But overall I'd say, Canada is friendlier, less violent, not as bigoted, more open minded, fairer, much less hierarchical, and more educated with regard to what's happening in the world. I do like the entrepreneurial bent to the US but its version often comes at a huge cost to people. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
