1 year, 4 months ago @E11evenEntertainment As for your health care system tied to your job, it means that you are in some respects not free to quit your job if you are having health issues. In Canada if you hate your job, you quit. You don't have to keep working because your healthcare is always guaranteed. job or no job. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @djmac6088 Tyler, I am sorry for what is happening in your country because I believe there are more great people compared to the “other” that we see creeping out of their holes. I worry for your less fortunate, those depending on help from their government and have earned this right, those being tossed out for no good reason. I worry about Canada too and although we do complain about our government this is not all bad keeps them on their toes but they will fight for Canadians. I do not see that happening enough in your country, I see complacency everywhere with such horrible things happening. I pray for our friends. No I am not a bible thumper like maga. I just believe like normal people do. Big hugs from this Canadian. ???? sadly I cannot bring myself to add the American flag beside ours ☹️? 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @DianeSt-Pierre-f1y Let’s say we are proud Canadian we pay for our medical healthcare on taxes. Can you do the same in America. It’s seems way back you couldn’t as a powerful country. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @MsCasualvlogger I hear now all the Canadians who bought homes or retired in Florida are selling their homes and leaving the U.S. now. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @bluebelle9370 Lived in Arizona for 3 years and was ecstatic to move back to Vancouver BC Canada. WE ARE CANADIAN ?? and we are seriously pissed off at the arrogance of DJT suggesting we should be a state. The cultural diffrences are too extreme upon return friends asked how it was and I'd reply the problem with living in U.S. is that there are far too many Americans there. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
1 year, 4 months ago @elizabethbarnes3969 I just hope that the average American and the average Canadian will not allow politicians to interfere with the friendships and good will that we have built up and feel for each other. These tough days will pass and politics change. Let’s be practical and respect one another and then we will both come out on the winning side. 0 zJycj8c73sQ

1 year, 4 months ago @MakeTheWorldStop I think the problem with many US attitudes is they have been brainwashed that they are the BEST in the world. Many have not travelled outside their country and still think that….based on what? When we have travelled to many places, Americans are not looked on favourably as tourists. Sorry, truth. Healthcare and US justice systems are broken and racism is rampant. I have “close” family living in US for over 25 years and now we don’t talk. They have been sucked into the Trump vortex, very sad. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @nicolevandelden1406 I think what you missed was the maternity leave. That’s why they move back to Canada. Get 2-18 months and some pay through out that, plus the promise of our position back when we return. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @karen81986 You would be one American I would welcome you in Canada. Watch you all the time. Love how you honestly cover Canada ?? 3 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @gwenle8719 I’m a Canadian, been living in Vancouver for most of my life. My dad had a bad stomach flu few weeks ago. I had to call an ambulance to take him to the hospital. The hospital did all the tests and scans on him. He was in the hospital for a week and was well taken care of by an excellent team of doctors, nurses, physical therapist, dietician….when he was well enough to come home. We were sent a bill of $100 CAD. Just a glimpse of our medical/hospital expense for ya 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @karlsloman5320 Upstate NY is not NYC, it is north of NYC. Places like Albany, Syracuse, Rochester etc. Very different, but also serious crime issues. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @rickirwin5833 There's no lineup because people can't afford health care in the states 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @DevryDillen People think it's money that makes you rich. That's today's stupidity. The real riches are what you're able to provide such as unlimited resources and minerals energy, power, oil and gas. When you have an unlimited supply of these riches with only 40 million people in your country. ??? I would consider that as being the richest country in the world 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @DevryDillen But you have to understand again in your Canada water video. Canada has a lot less population. That being taxes are higher in Canada but more land for your dollar. Less GDP do to a smaller number of people which also becomes a factor of Canada not making the 2% GDP to NATO. There's alot of factors on why Canada does what it does. It's not that we don't want to keep up with the rest of the world. It's that it's very hard to with such a small population. 0 zJycj8c73sQ

1 year, 4 months ago @shelleyvandervelde3764 In the last five years, the crime in Calgary and Canada probably cross the board has increased dramatically and we need more police presence. You don’t feel safe taking public transit that never used to be the case. 0 zJycj8c73sQ

1 year, 4 months ago @shelleyvandervelde3764 I think there should be co-pay some nominal charge for seeing a doctor because I think in Canada, it’s abused people get a runny nose they run to the doctor. You have a cold. Take some vitamin C vitamin D chicken soup get over it. The Canadian healthcare system is abused and now it’s falling apart because of all the immigration. 0 zJycj8c73sQ

1 year, 4 months ago @shelleyvandervelde3764 No wonder the birth rate has fallen so much in the state I like Trump’s idea of rewarding parents for having babies rather than relying on immigration to maintain the population 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @nancypearson1353 I wouldn’t move to the US. I like being a Canadian. There is too much violence. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
1 year, 4 months ago @ellenohab4701 Since trump is forcing tariffs on Canada I will not be visiting or spending any of my money in the USA! If you all dump trump then maybe then we can return to our civil Canadian Us interactions! 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @ellenohab4701 If you are a Canadian but move to the USA and work there then you are not paying taxes in Canada so you are no longer able to be covered by our Canadian Universal health care, so that people that had podiatry care in Canada would have to pay for that! 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @jamesvaga7113 You don't have a Heath Care System, You have a Health Care Industry. Do you see the difference? 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @markulrich8898 Trump has put the USA in a world of Hurt. China has just imposed a 100% ban on the export of all product using precious metals to the USA. Pretty much everything we use today has a component in it made of precious metal, military equipment, cell phones, tv ,telecommunication equipment, Automobiles and many many other things. Canada is still selling the raw metals to China and receiving the chips and circuit boards back to continue their production process.....If you think Covid disrupted the production process.....Just wait USA is in for a world of economic hurt. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @trishnewell7760 That second one, she's not necessarily worried about the financial & insurance issues. The US has really bad statistics for maternal mortality. 0 zJycj8c73sQ

1 year, 4 months ago @Patsyburry How much would you pay for Health Insurance per year 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @YvanHeroux I've been to the states many times! My opinion is that Americans focus on wallets more than social issues! Americans care more about their own circumstances than working together to help the whole of the population. No one likes to pay more taxes but they are a nessesary evil to be able to pay for health care, public security, and so on! So sure Americans don't pay as much for some things but pay more for things that they shouldn't pay! Health care is something that is very important, how can you be expected to pay for health services if you can't work cause you're ill, doesn't make any sence! Even Americans leave thier country because of what it's becoming! 50- 100 years ago everyone wanted to immigrate to America or Canada, now a days everyone is immigrating here to Canada. Should I have to explain why! It's sad but the U.S.A isn't what it used to be. Mostly because of corporate greed and the influence it has on the gouvernment! Just look at how Trump is running things. A country isn't a bussiness, it's a people, without the people a country is nothing. Too bad Trump and his billionaire butt licking friends can't see that! 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @garyjene9146 Compare how many mass shootings you had in the U.S. compared to Canada. Also, we are allowed to own weapons if you want (particularly for hunting). But we do not make a big deal about, nor are we paranoid to the point we need to openly carry one Up here, it is mostly police and Brinks guards that open carry because it is part of the job. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @terripierracos467 I almost moved to the US with my parents when I was a kid but was crying because I didn’t want to go. I am so glad that we didn’t move there. We don’t want to go there for many reasons, free healthcare, a good education system because we pay our teachers well and have good quality teachers, we don’t carry guns and don’t want them, thereby our streets are safer. We don’t have mass murders, school killings and all that fear. We don’t have the racial and ethnic prejudice that there is in the US. I have travelled a lot for my company and personal to the US. I was scared and didn’t feel comfortable at all. We know so much more about US geography and history and the US knows nothing about us. Complete ignorance. Well I have no plans to ever visit again. I love our people, our freedom and our culture. We are nothing like the Americans (sorry). I am staying in my beautiful country! I feel safe and happy here! We don’t want the American dream, we are living the Canadian dream! 0 zJycj8c73sQ

1 year, 4 months ago @anahills3836 When I've gone into Emergency here in Canada, you first check in and then wait for about 10 minutes to go through triage. They ask you why you've come and go over your symptoms. Then you go back and wait again. I've gone in for pneumonia at least twice. Both times I was sent for a quick check of my heart (because one of my symptoms was chest pain). When that came out fine, I was sent back to wait more. After about 20-30- minutes I was called to come into a more interior waiting area. There I just sat and dozed for several hours. Once I was in and out in 3 hours, which was really fast! Generally I count on a minimum of 5-6 hours from entry to exit. But I haven't gone in with life threatening problems. One was an injured knee. I just know that if I have to wait a long time, then I'm probably ok! If I got in too quickly, I'd worry! But there was no charge except to rent crutches one time and for the antibiotics I needed to go and get at the pharmacy. \nMy brother's first child was born a bit early but was very tiny. He had to stay in the hospital for about a month. He was also born by emergency C-section. At the end of all this, my brother said that the biggest expense was their parking bill for visiting so often. That would probably have been about $15 per day. 3 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @gonelooney5698 it's a major insult in French, but as a Canadian, I'm too polite to translate it for you. Lol 0 O0gJtVar7_E
1 year, 4 months ago @juliemcmullen1175 If you want to see a doctor in Canada, and you're not Canadian, you'll only have to pay $40 or $50 bucks. (CAD) 0 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @KeithConrad-y8o USA soon to become the most distasteful country to visit. Cancelling my month long trip to Florida this year and for the future. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
1 year, 4 months ago @emilyh9076 . It’s free to have a baby in Canada, no hospital bills. And the government will send you monthly income up to a year afterwards so you can stay home to take care of said baby. Dads can take up to 9 months as well. I would be dead by now if not for free healthcare. I had a four day stay for kidney infections back when. I’ve also had skin cancer. All of my treatments were covered. Didn’t cost me a dime 2 zJycj8c73sQ

1 year, 4 months ago @elbowstrike 11:30 - this has been my experience too when I was a teenager in the 90s the idea of getting a job in the USA was still commonly seen as a great thing with the running joke about “just try not to get shot” but since George W Bush and 9/11 America has taken a very hard right towards fascism in every aspect of life, public and private, and it’s impossible to ignore.\n\nUnfortunately Americans are like the frog in the pot of water getting hotter and hotter too slowly for the frog to notice until it’s too late and the frog gets boiled to death. Google the boiled frog analogy. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
1 year, 4 months ago @elbowstrike Americans don’t seem to understand that all the “cool things to do and see in the USA” you don’t need to actually live in the USA to enjoy those we can just get on a plane and fly to those places for vacation just like Americans do. We had our honeymoon on Oahu, stayed two weeks in a VRBO in Waianaie with all the native Hawaiians, rented a jeep, drove around, saw all the things, felt bad for all the service workers who live only on tips under labor laws that a third world dictatorship wouldn’t even subject its people to.\n\nNotice how all the things Canadians criticize America for it’s for being needlessly cruel and horrible to people when there’s the option to be compassionate and supportive and ethical?\n\nBut then every thing Americans criticize Canada for it’s for being “too compassionate”, “too supportive”, “too caring” when the option American say we should have taken instead was the the option of unnecessary cruelty? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
