2 years, 11 months ago @branthemuffin5872 I’ve visited the US plenty of times but I would leave it at that. I have no burning to desire to permanently reside anywhere in the US 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @erinpowell941 I'm afraid that with the gun craze down there, I would not consider it. Then, there is the lousy healthcare... And just when I think you guys aren't that bad off, I watch an episode of John Oliver's This Week Tonight, and a plethora of new reasons spring up. \n\nRight now in Canada, there is a Conservative Party that is starting to adopt the MAGA philosophy of consorting with white supremacism, fascism, misogyny and racist, and I cannot imagine moving to a place where this stuff is running rife. \n\nTyler, you are a lovely example of a decent American, and in truth, when visiting the States (which I haven't done for years), I met more people like you than like MAGA. However, my tolerance for stupid, hateful people is far lower since Trump was elected, and I swore I would not visit the US again until the WH, Congress and the Senate clean house of the Republican scourge. \n\nBut moving to the US would never be an option for me. I love Canada. I live in one of the most beautiful parts of Canada - Vancouver Island. I was born here and have visited many places in the world, but this is, and will forever be, home! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @nathalieproulx1632 I lived in Phoenix AZ for 3 years and I miss the state and the travel opportunities close to it, the scenery was absolutely gorgeous, people were nice and friendly for most of them. I surely don't miss the violence associated to a big city like that and the heat in summer but I still miss AZ. I was feeling unsecured cause of the health care and the cost related to it since I was getting older. 10 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @sadp9013 I like my kids playing outside the house alone with the only danger being car 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @captainlone1333 As a French Canadian im aware of some discrimination about the funding of our community, School dont really get the money for new infrastructure. some of our building becoming more old and not really great to use i still like my place thought and i will never consider to move to the USA. Sorry for the American's that can be hurt by those words but i prefer the safety of my family and my community then having some huge racial, hate, gun, violence going in the US.\n\nYes Canada as flaw but still we can gladly say that we feel way more safe and more secure about our bills than anybody in the US. i got some medical condition that would totally have bankrupt my family and myself for decades if i was born in the USA.\n\nIf some American family or some couples that want a great life come to Canada we will gladly accept you as you are :) if you met some jerk in Canada im sorry for that.\n\nSo Tyler would you consider moving to Canada ? =D 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @markdaigle4030 Great show ? 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @terrymoser47 No, Sorry. I have too many health issues, I wouldn't be able to afford surgery if I needed it. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @suzannebadger8135 Im from a small town in Northern Ontario. It terrifies me, the amount of random mass killings, serial killers etc. Also I have A LOT of health issues, it would bankrupt us. Tyler needs to visit Canada, to fully grasp what Canada is and how we are as a people. The big cities seem to be having more gun violence which shocks most of us. 39 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @mikael100100 hello, Canadian here. i believe that ( personally ) if Canada had the same freedom for weapons as the USA, things wouldn't go as bad as the USA. or wouldn't change at all. the main problem, which americans at large still refuses to admit it seems, or at least the loudest ones, is that it's a culture problem, not a gun problem. the whole of USA culturally is kinda rotten with way more chances for someone to just crack and go nuts, or commit a shitty act out of desperation, anything. while in Canada, we have people and gorups to help take care of this. we do not bankrupt people by making them seek help at hospital, and so on. the whole socio-economic of the USA is to blame for this. \n\nin my humble, basement dwelling person opinion as someone who thought about this subject for a while. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @NA-ub1kv We have McDonald’s we have Starbucks but you don’t have Tim Hortons 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @robertaewing5468 I wouldn’t move to the US and the medical is only the second reason my number one reason is your lack of freedom. For instance I have always had cats, at this moment I have three cats who are my pride and joy, two of them even go out for walks with me in a pet stroller and even came with me yesterday to the Scottish festival in my neighbourhood and the problem with moving to the US is Landlords can tell you that you have to get rid of your pets were here in Canada, in my part of Canada anyway it is going against your rights to tell you you can’t have your pet and there is no way in hell I would get rid of my cats they are my family and my only family so because of that I would not move to the United States 3 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @nicksnyder9157 Don’t take this the wrong way ? but you couldn’t pay me enough money to move anywhere in the US. 9 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Crazykid949 move to the United States.... HELL NO ! \n\nThe way that things are going and slowly leaking into Canada with regards to dating, roles of the genders, the generations of people that will not be held accountable for their actions and accusations, and the WOKE ASSED IDOTIOTS ruining everything, I want off of NORTH AMERICA. I'd rather go someplace where the people are more traditional in their dealings with other people because that is more peaceful, happy, and lower stressed lifestyles. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @cheryla7480 I feel so strongly about family safety, we stopped even visiting the US in the 80’s. If forced to leave Canada, I would live anywhere but the US. Canada is where I feel safe and I never once had to worry if I sent my kids to school, would I ever see them again. 305 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @deanromanado5850 There was a study done for schools shootings among G8 countries.\nBetween 2008 to 2018, the 7 non american countries had 9 school shootings combined. US has 287.\nIt is a serious problem. 54 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @terryomalley1974 Most of the really negative comments come from lefties, especially female or gay ones. Not surprising, as Canada is more tolerant of such things. Too much so, if you ask me. We could do with more morals in Canada, as we've become very hedonistic and selfish under Trudeau's eoke socialism. I'm not a fan of American gun culture or the extreme political polarization. However, I do admire the fact that free speech seems valued more highly in the US. Also, Canada is over-regulated and over-taxed. Unfortunately, there's a large class of freeloaders in Canada as a result. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @murraytown4 The US is the LAST place I’d move to. It’s a dumpster fire. I won’t even travel there. Never used to be this way.\n\nTo avoid most ills you have to be male, white, rich and straight AND live in the middle of nowhere…off the grid. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @bornstndnupntalknbak No way 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @susanbryant9387 No, but I'd consider Sweden 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @stevetournay6103 The only reason I'd even mull it over is that I absolutely loathe winter. And that is nothing like enough of a reason... 10 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @profwaynewsmith I moved to the USA for 15 years for work - but when I got the opportunity to return home, I took it. A lot of Canadians have to go south to get career opportunities that just don't exist in Canada. 13 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @RatKindler My brother lives in Canada and says in Florida during the winter. He loves the US and the American dream. He loves Trump too. I think the only thing keeping him in Canada is the health care. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @susanrobertson984 I don’t even want to visit. I was at a conference in Milwaukee and the security guards were there to keep the homeless and beggars out of the halls. I mean - a block away from the fancy building it was a wasteland. So sad. The inequality leads to more crime and there are so maaaany guns. Then there is health care. We are getting more inequality here in Canada and the social problems follow but so far Canada ?? > ?? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @canadianbakin1304 i have 2 friends visiting from Connecticut right now and the wife is absolutely in love with this county only after a few days 4 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @sharonwatters569 I lived there for 10 years. I am still suffering from PTSD 12 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @georgettesavoie1451 You enumerate conditions to be ok in the USA, for ex live in the city, live in a secure part of the city or of the country… have a job and you’re ok for healthcare which in the end is still expensive and does not even cover. everything. Here tHe comfort comes from not only I’m 100% protected but ALL Canadians are. What we have in our social net, so does everybody else. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Danielle-yi5ej Half of my family lives in the United States, while i love visiting them i will take the freezing cold winters to make sure my daughters have control over their bodies. 40 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @CarAmeL624 I know a lot of Canadians that moved to the US because:\n- lower cost of living \n- warmer weather\n- better business opportunities or access into industries such as athletics, music and film\n\nAs a Canadian female living in Toronto, this is why I wouldnt move to the US\n\n1. Safety \n\n2. Racism\n\n3. Women's reproductive rights\n\n4. Health care costs\n\n5. Natural disasters- too many areas with things like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc. Even snow, there are areas in the states like Michigan and Minnesota that get worse snow than we do here in Toronto being situated along lake Ontario \n\n6. Lower costs for college/university in Canada 95 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @t.a.k.palfrey3882 Sandy Hook and Uvalde were small, quiet towns! 8 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @pattaccone 0:30 we have the things you do minus most of the crime and gun violence ! \nPlus winter is actually really fun when you embrace it and leave the couch 5 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @lordjinnai I don't get why you haven't moved to Canada yet, You know enough by now. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @pascaledauphinais9903 I am half american and have family is the US which is great but NO !.... the US has expensive healthcare and TRUMP and his disciples which decide it since I am a decent, kind, intelligent and intend to stay that way, NO ! 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @scds1082 I spent a lot of time in the States as a child, mostly in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas. It was fun on the beach, going to Disneyland and it was nice staying with relatives and swimming in their pool everyday in the summer. However, I am Canadian and my heart belongs to Canada. Despite the fact that we as a nation do have our imperfections and problems, I am loyal to my country and want to contribute whatever I can to this place. Plus of course, there are the myriad aspects of life in the US mentioned in the video that I wouldn't be able to tolerate: lack of reproductive rights, attacks on the LGBTQ community, lack of safety/gun violence, no universal health care etc. 95 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @debs11100 Tyler the point is not to move to a small town away from gun violence, the point is even one school shooting is horrific and you as citizens should all be changing the gun laws. 3 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Rubberand4skins In America, it is open season on school kids NOWHERE you live in The Rotten States of America 0 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @deborahhennessey Oh Tyler. I've been watching your content for months now, and I do wish you would read and interact with your commenters because you would learn so much. I'll just comment on one fact. As a young, white, childless male, I doubt you would be affected by most of the reasons people who visit and know the US here in Canada would think of. Most of my friends are in the US and I livestream with them 5 nights a week, and every time a ma ss shooting is reported, we hear about it and suffer along with you too. \n\nFACT: The number ONE cause of death for children and teens in the US is Firearm related, so gun deaths. Yes it's true, and there isn't a single friend of mine who isn't scared to express an opinion, or send their kids and grandkids to school or Uni. wherever they live in the US. Statistically speaking, almost every citizen in the US is going to know someone who is un-alived by gun violence. We have strict gun laws here, and I wouldn't trade that for anything. 29 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @bl_leafkid4322 There are a number of Canadian pensioners who live in Florida six months of the year possibly Oct to Mar known as Snowbirds. 3 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @lowolff1 As a Canadian artist, it’s a lot easier to get specialized art supplies in the US, but that isn’t going to make me want to live in the US for the reasons many have already expressed!! ?? 50 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @stevetournay6103 Mm. You do look just like the sort of person someone in Middle America would be comfortable being nice to, though, Tyler... 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Qwijebo Hell yes. I'd move back in an instant. I used to live in the US with my American wife. Coming back to Canada we enjoyed nothing but expense, no rights, a lot of restrictions and now it's becoming like communist China. Love it or hate it America is the last place on earth that has real rights backed up by a real constitution. And you can enjoy any locale not just a few mile strip across the Canadian wet, frozen or scorching nation. People that think the US is bad are deluded and probably leftist, anti-Trumpers, think that the Canadian health care system is free and you have a choice. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @wendywill7519 I would not move to a country that thinks is normal for everyone to have a gun. Also, for some reason the citizen in the U.S. tolerate a government that does not care about its citizens, I require generous paid sick days, generous paid holidays, etc. \nAlthough I make a very good salary, I cannot tolerate seeing any human being not make enough money to live with dignity. 4 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @janetliston7152 Not only would I not consider living there, I wouldn’t go there on vacation either. Went to Florida as a kid and New Orleans as an adult, but now you couldn’t pay me to go. Too dangerous. 6 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @brenthenderson3983 After being born in Canada and lived here all my life (57 years), I could not ever think of myself as an American, nothing against Americans in general... 1 O0gJtVar7_E
