3 years, 9 months ago @sumeetghosh4422 How ignorant . They are the most helpful and kind hearted people on earth . The Sikhs. Its their custom to carry that . It’s so unfortunate due their turban many times they are identified as something else 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @abhimanyusa If a Sikh start to hurt a person.. detain the person.. he must have done something wrong. That kind of trust we Indians have on Sikh people. Americans must have same. (I am not Sikh) 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @rockyrocz1 The only reason he got arrested I believe that he should have wear it under his tees 244 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @akshaychaurasiya1309 Why did the university issue apology? Just cause his religion follows this doesn't mean we can put security at risk. A knife is a knife, religion shouldn't interfere with law and order 1 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @Deviliswithyou Cop did the right thing. We all know that in sikh tradition male and even female wear Kirpan which is a symbol to protect yourself when you are in serious danger. But as we see in the video the guy is wearing on top of his shirt which absolutely incorrect it has to be worn inside not from outside 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @musicandroid4149 Sikhism originated in India and even in India, Sikh officers do not carry the Kirpan at places of security. Concealed carry is also an option.\nReligious symbols are meant for a particular purpose and when there is a law or rule that is aimed to prevent any misuse w.r.t. security then it ought to be implemented. Christianity promotes Wine but that doesn't mean schools should start allowing kids to bring wine to school. 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @SerendipityAni If you are going to another country and a place where your beliefs are foreign ... Try following the rule of the place. Do not expect everything to magically change according to you. \n\nRespecting the rule of the land is not a bad thing and whichever deity or god you follow is not going to punish you based on that. 0 helDJ-uTrqY

3 years, 9 months ago @mrinalsharma6813 It's a weapon nothing more. 1 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @travelworld2738 You shouldn't bring a weapon into a public place, even if it part of your religion. It's a hazard for others. Someone else can grab it and use it to harm others 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @MissAlive1 I am an Indian and I do believe that if you wish to carry a kirpan stay in India otherwise respect their rules and regulations!! 61 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @paramdrall Guess who'll get sued ?\nIt's totally Okay to practice your religion. It's not a bare Knife that he's wielding , it's and encased religious sword. 0 helDJ-uTrqY

3 years, 9 months ago @RohitRoy-ev4fp Well Educational institutions are supposed to be impartial towards religions so don't carry that kirpan in schools or colleges ?‍♂️ After all they are foreigners if they see a knife it's a knife . They won't see it as kirpan (sikh knife) 10 helDJ-uTrqY

3 years, 9 months ago @randomboi637 Well it's not a crime to carry kripan at least a place where guns are more common....but when you are in other country their jurisdiction applies not your ethnicity ..race or religion . Same goes for foreigners in India....and that is a educational institution not a religious temple no one is wrong here just mis communication of rules 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @pratyush7711 If any of the religious things are not allowed in that campus u better leave that kirpan outside as u are under the law of that institution. But if any other like muslims women wear hijab and stuff and they arr only targeting u then u should raise a complain. 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @shohannie It's still a knife though, even if it is a religious thing. But then again Americans love their guns so why not let him have his knife lol 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @DawnSellers1204 There’s no possible way this guy put this on without looking in the mirror & thinking, “Ahh this!? My strapped on dagger will have people feeling uneasy & security scrambling to figure out what’s going on here!” Attend American University - follow American University policies. Stop!!!! 0 helDJ-uTrqY

3 years, 9 months ago @marksingh6373 Disgraceful the university took appropriate action against the police but it should never have happened in the first place. It just shows where the university is at lack of understanding. I would not attend this university. 0 helDJ-uTrqY

3 years, 9 months ago @EldhoseJoseph Lol. In India, it's not allowed. Why is US allowing it in college? \nUS folks r going overboard with appeasement and feelings. \n\nNot blaming the student if it was not banned in college. Blaming college authority only. \nPolice did the right thing. NPC is destroying US. 1 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @shubhamsandilya8943 Sikh can keep it but he should have placed it inside his t shirt it's a foreign country so i can understand the guy not knowing about his faith 0 helDJ-uTrqY
3 years, 9 months ago @riyachauhan8300 Well the officer was just doing his duty i don't think he did it intentionally and how ' d he know about these religious traditions there ' s nothing bad happened with this guy he should ' ve took off his kirpaan before entering the college or any non public. Place the officer was just concerned about his people that's it don't exaggerate this p. S my apology if anyone sentiments get hurt by my words that ' s my personal opinion ? 0 helDJ-uTrqY
