Canada has a long history of welcoming immigrants as our young country was built on this premise. However they were immigrants that came here to start a new life beneficial to themselves and the country. Canada does love immigrants and most of it's populace are immigrants, but that is only for well documented immigrants with high human capital. Canada uses a point based system to see whether new immigrants can contribute to society. Trudeau is making things worse. Look at the influx of Haitians coming to Quebec. But stop trying to jump the line ahead of others. Canada has always been great neighbors with our American counterparts. Liberals assume we hate them and are racist but we’re not. We simply don’t want our tax dollars to keep funding other people’s lives while we can’t even provide for our own people. He is a hard worker who is providing for his family. His wife and kids look like good people also. I want the US to be a stepping stone for people like him.
