7 years, 11 months ago @celtickitc I am American, 2nd generation. I do not have a problem with people from Mexico, Latin America or South America coming to the USA. To me, they are from the Americas, are Christians and hard working people. I would rather they be granted favorable status over other countries. It's just the way I've always felt. 0 ONjCMzB_FPw

7 years, 11 months ago @bobwinters5572 This silliest part of this story is that if he could write a resume listing all that construction work that he has done he could easily find work that pays comparable wages to what he gets in Canada or the US in most Latin American countries. And he wouldn't even have to deal with documentation problems and culture shock. Because of the new laws she's afraid of getting sent back. Guess what? She has a house here and 2 houses in Mexico over the Texas border. One of the houses costed 5000.00 now who's winning? He then chooses to go to Canada, putting his family in the same illegal situation as here. Not sure why he left El Savador, but 15 years is a long time. It seems like you're trying to blame Canada and Trudeau for the situation that he is in; You (VICE) place emphasis on his situation and his family, trying to drum up sympathy for him, but the way I see it is, he's to blame for it. He came here of his own volition and with a family by trying to get around the system. That's doesn't make him sympathetic, it makes him stupid and naive and impulsive. Frankly, it insulting and infuriating because there are people who wait YEARS and pay thousands of dollars who are actually in need of coming to Canada. And now, because of people like him is the reason why the system is backed up to point of instead of waiting for 60 days, you have to wait as much as 20 months before you hear back (which unfortunately, encourages more border-hopping and situations exactly like this) 0 ONjCMzB_FPw
