3 years, 8 months ago @Kokola-qh9wp I'm sitting here crying for my brethren, people exploiting others for their future and dreams then capitalizing off of it, destroying a life and breeding hopelessness....this is why there is no future for our world 0 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @Centurio-LegioX-Equestris That's why you should research your school before applying. Also do the cost benefit analysis before you commit your family's life savings. 1 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @yoserbmon6827 Sad story really, but there are many other international students who get it even worse. At least Indian students speak English, have a very large support community in Canada (where pretty much every other person is from India). I only speak because I know. Try coming to this land with no English and no connections at all ...and from a small country in South America, then you really are in trouble. 0 dNrXA5m7ROM

3 years, 8 months ago @0016mohit If every college has a prescribed upper limit to the number of students it can enrol, how do the total enrolments of all colleges combined get overlooked by the authorities? It sure sounds fishy. 1 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @user-jw3pq9li1v Government is responsible for this. 0 dNrXA5m7ROM

3 years, 8 months ago @fred-527 Study abroad is mainly for rich people if you guys can’t afford it don’t come so you don’t have to work double double shifts .\nDo yourself and Canada a favour .\n\nAnd even now coming to Canada is more about status symbol and flex for you guys rather then good education and experience And we can already see that from this year all the fightings and stupid, dumb stuff Indian panjabi students are doing. 5 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @dollyschwall8537 Horrible story .I am sad to see those students suffering as I am also mother of a college student ..May Lord Jesus protect them and bless them with bright future ...FromEU 2 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @swfx786 I would like to thank CBC Fifth Estate for their initiative to uncover the trauma these students go through. This is only one cornerstone of the story. Fifth Estate need to dig deeper and come up with part 2 to look in to our Federal Government policy regarding issuing Student Visa from India. Why these so called for profit colleges / agencies only targeting students from India and not from any other countries ? The Student VISA process is different for students from other countries. It’s our government who is exploiting these students and playing with their hopes and dreams. 3 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @margarettamcclearyelliot6640 Thank you for sharing putting this information out for everyone to see. I will try my best to do my part to help these beautiful innocent young people ?? 12 dNrXA5m7ROM

3 years, 8 months ago @mq2311 There is lots of good universities in India...it's more affordable than in Canada...leaving parents, family and friends behind to study here...and breaking parents back and all savings for a foreign studies...not worth it at all...if Canada government is not giving relief to international students..then Canada should stop calling international students coming here...problem solved 1 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @louislucky7440 Stay in India then !? 2 dNrXA5m7ROM

3 years, 8 months ago @Conradcockhard Their own people are exploting them and it's disgusting 1 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @lilianmaina4248 This whole system needs an overhaul. Why is Canada recruiting so many international students just from India anyway? If there has been a need for housing/hostels for international students why doesn't the government tackle this. In Kenya private developers build studio apartments in areas with Colleges/Universities, this works out pretty well. A private space is better than strangers huddled up together 0 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @kelleywinger2473 Wow. This is terrible. No wonder we don't have enough doctors or nurses etc...people that want to learn are lied to and taken advantage of. 1 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @thepeacefulwarrior2879 The core problem lies with the failure of the Indian and Punjab governments to offer viable education to their youth. 1 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @Ethan-kl2gw Government of India should help all the students of our country immediately 0 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @dharma2025 When will exploitation and looting of india and Indians stop? Indian government should do a serious investigation on this scam, arrest the scamsters on Indian soil without any delay. 0 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @LJolie-jz8go Slum lords should be reported as well as schools marketing their schools for international students 0 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @thatsthisguy These institutions need to be held accountable! stiff penalties and fines. should it cost a 2x or maybe 2.5x more to study as an international yes, but 5x is just ridiculous. This is where a percentage of other issues stem from! 13 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @kinara5365 DONT GO TO COLLEGES. GO TO UNIVERSITIES. INDIANS ARE SPOILING CANADA FOR GOING TO THE SUSTANDARD COLLEGES THAT NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT 0 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @longtalljay Very good documentary. I am showing it in my class. 3 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @Niksfpv What’s happening in Canada, is happening in Australia, UK, USA and many other countries. \n \nAll international students are cash cows for these institutions in all the countries. \n\nThis will stop once the institutions stop giving huge amounts to the recruiting companies who are giving fake promises and false hopes to the innocent families. 2 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @amanjuneja4535 High cost for international student with poor quality of education and over-crowded classes, no placements or even career guidance, Sky-rocketing real-estate prices with unbearable inflation forcing students to work extra hours leading in exploitation at work-places. Even when one manages to survive all of this, there is long stretch of solitude and loneliness.\nWelcome to 1st world we are nothing but human robots here. 0 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @pulkitsharmapremiumvideos9252 Australian universities are much worse. I have first hand experience!???? 4 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @keisukehonda3986 That is why you go reputable universitoes. Look at the accreditations before applying to schools. 4 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @jchoi9575 I feel sorry about those students being misled and going through such experience but I know that there are a responsible agencies and schools out there to support international students to succeed. On the other hand, I unfortunately witnessed some landlord(permanent residents) facing so much trouble with those with international students or working holiday visa like unpaid rent, breaking the rental agreement and damaging the property. Well, in my personal opinion, there should be a system in place to educate temporary residents before their visa is issued and to guide them to the right direction upon their arrival. 6 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @puneetsingh7341 I dont know how. But every word is true ... 1 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @legit_90s62 Thankyou fifth Estate team for hearing the voice of international students and bring this topic to the lime light. \nHatts off to you guys !! You guys are doing a tremendous job \nLots of blessings 34 dNrXA5m7ROM

3 years, 8 months ago @tenziicjchoe8193 so sad to see this 0 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @-hd4yz Wrong, minister. We should scale back the International Student programme. We should not accept applications made by overseas agents. 1 dNrXA5m7ROM
3 years, 8 months ago @maks78in The students prefer Canada as it is the easiest way to get PR status. And there is no strong vetting system. These are agents’ main selling points. I have seen students struggling for qualified jobs after the course, most of them taking labour jobs. Probably, most of them wouldn’t have any sort of such work in India, here working as a helper for a mason, working as a delivery boy etc. 13 dNrXA5m7ROM
