3 years, 5 months ago @xilxilxilxilxil i'm at 9:25 so idk if you've mentioned this, but the phone bills in canada are INSANE. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @alphapred I chose to raise my kids in Canada in the 90’s and I’m grateful. My Son never had an NBomb thrown at him until he visited the University of Washington campus for a summer course. \n\nI’m from the South (Jim Crow South) and I never felt the absence of racism and hate for Black people until I moved to Canada. Taxes, housing and cost of food is a hurdle however the way of life makes of for it all. Every last bit as a Black man. \n\nAmeriKKKans used Black babies as gator bait. The damage to the society is done and irreparable. Wickkked to the core. \n\nInstead of strengthening the country within; they allow the southern border to be open so more people compete with Black people from establishing stability and progress by in large. Racism is a system. CDNSROCK 0 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @grimmstonejones331 Yea you are not wrong. City living is rough out here. I was born and raised in L.A. but moved 2 hours into the desert and it's like a different country. Rent is cheap, people reply back and don't look at you weird when you greet them. L.A. looks great but the social interactions compared to other places aren't. 1 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @ValiantFox We don't need more Americans moving here. We don't need anyone moving here, mass immigration is ruining Canada. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @cameron4332 Cons to Canada:\n\nGovernmental system that lacks fundamental checks/balances\n\nInsanely bland food (ik this is gonna trigger a lot of people, but American food almost everywhere is so insanely superior and cheaper)\n\nVery difficult to get guns (for some people pro)\n\nWeather (for some people pro)\n\nAirline prices (as what was mentioned)\n\nPeople seem to come off very mean or serious (at least in the Toronto area)\n\nPros to Canada:\n\nMore left leaning politics (for some people good)\n\nOverall a safer country\n\nTap water (although where I live in the US it is the exact same)\n\nMore regulation on harmful products\n\nPublic transportation, city layouts 0 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @jirensentry7609 I think that's one of the largest problems in the United States. To be a real estate developer or landlord, I want to make good money.\n\nIf the cost of the 20 building complex costs me $125 million, I will set the majority of those to elegance and people willing to pay for that. But it seems quite greedy to charge exorbant rents and continue having that cost go up every year.\n\nIf mortgages in a median area are $2500, let me set the rent to maybe $1500 to $1800. But that's not the case!\n\nRenting, the cost of the apartment NEVER caps off! To think that I'm renting a 1 or 2-bedroom apartment at $1875, but no in-house laundry, no dishwasher, but I'm paying for water, gas, extra fees is insane! \n\nAnd these owners wonder why people try to kill them. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @DameSaiyan I lived in Lon. Ontario for seven years and I have to tell you the air is so clean choked for a week clearing out Americans crappy air,the ghettos look like suburbs because at least in my area the properties are being taken care of,no I'm not going to say that wasn't any racism or no Gunplay it is minimum and the politics is almost as bad as United States but it's a hell of a lot better than what the state is offering you, yes there's more money in the States but you don't get a piece of mind like you do in Canada, and let me tell you about their beer store and how one of their beers is an equivalent to 6 US beers lol, I need to go back lol 0 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @brandoOfDOOM The best thing about America compared to the rest of the world is we have the chance to eventually dissolve our government. Jfc, the boot does feel like it's crushing us everyday. 1 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @trudru1 I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. The weirdest but greatest thing I've ever seen in Canada was 10 years ago visiting Toronto. Two cars are involved in a minor fender bender. This Asian dude with khakis and a dress shirt pops out of the front car. Then this black dude with a durag and a basketball jersey pops out the rear car. Then they start yelling at each other in French lmao. My mind was blown. I'm like now this is diversity ? 80 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @TURBOMIKEIFY I've noticed we American suburbanites tend to associate ourselves with the big city when we're away, knowing damn well that we live 30 miles away, and barely visit. 1 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @Sukuna1983 No hate here but LA is not like the vast majority of the US. I live in n Clarksville Tennessee about 45 minutes north of Nashville. My house was $335,000 4 bed 2 and a half bath, half acre, covered deck. No state income tax. My cost of living is significantly less than when I went to Toronto. Living in the suburbs is nice. 1 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @danbert8 My most Canada story was when my girlfriend (now wife) dropped $200 in cash on a bus in Toronto and didn't notice. She was able to retrieve it because someone turned it in to the lost and found. 859 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @BattleBladeWarrior This was a really cool episode. I'm a born and raised Canadian, but my friends and my fiancé are all from the USA, so I've got a firsthand look at the differences in our cultures and countries.\n\nOne thing I'll say right off the bat, I think a big part of what makes Canada work the way it does, is that we have such a small population compared to the USA.\n\nCanada only has around 35 million people, but there are some states in the USA that have over 40 Million people on their own. \n\nWhen you have that many people crammed together in one location, all fighting for jobs and housing and food and everything, it makes sense why you might have a culture that's a lot louder and self serving, because you have to compete with millions of people if you really want to make something of yourself.\n\nMy hometown of Edmonton Alberta, for example, we had a population of just 500,000. And I think the laid back attitude that a lot of people have in Canada is a product of that. \n\nThat's a big reason our crime levels would appear lower as well, because there's just a lot less of us. 254 4lD0_fuB7qA
