Your last point - it happens in Canada as well. Look at the Vancouver suburbs of Richmond or Surrey. I've heard mainly people from Toronto be surprised at how multicultural yet segregated Vancouver can be. |

I would like to add why the groups are kinda in there own city’s in LA. At least for Asian. It was just easier to do that cause we can go to the few people that know how to do everything and help everyone. Like paper work, Finding jobs and things like that. |

Well....that's what happens when Canada's population is about the same as Texas ??♂️??♂️. More people= more problems. Also, isnt it like 90% of Canadaians are primarily living in one to 2 areas? So Im not surprised on the cost difference, crime difference, etc. I like Canada but in comparison, it's smaller so less chance of issues. Especially in a first world country |

I wanted to live abroad and still do. Ever since I saw Travels in Europe with Rick Steves Denmark episode, I've always wanted to go. I finally went in 2018. I still want to live there, but Europe went crazy during covid. It wasn't too bad with the Scandinavian countries, but I will NEVER GO TO GERMANY AGAIN. The best part of America isn't the cities, although I'd guess that's the same about Canada. The only part of Canada I've been to is British Columbia above Glacier National Park and it was lovely. The best cities in America weren't mentioned: San Diego, Boise, Pittsburg, Salt Lake, Austin, etc. |

As an American who now lives in Japan, Yes! to all of this. I don't think we realize how draining it is to live in that type of environment and the toll is takes over time. I lived in a studio apartment in Chicago that costed the same as a 2 bedroom here, maybe less. I had to work 2 full time jobs to pay rent and other utilizes. I rarely socialized with my friends or went out to do anything. And I thought that was NORMAL. That's crazy thinking back on it now. Also I'm a lot less paranoid in Japan then I was in the States due to safety reasons. |

Something about me is I'm HORRIBLE at starting conversation, call it introvert or socially awkward, it makes it hard to interact. So in places like say Texas, it's a huge uplift for people to genuinely be friendly and WANT to strike up a conversation with you, Texas hospitality is not dead like some claim. |

Tap water is dependent on the city you're in. Up here outside of Seattle, the water sucks. But 10 miles away at my cousin's house with her well water it's great. In San Diego, half the city, the water is great. The other half, it sucks. In New York, the water is great, in New Jersey, it's terrible. |

Being a SoCal native everything said about it was true. That last point was crazy true too and I experienced that personally too as I am Mexican but I am also Irish and I do not look Mexican at all so I was an outcast with Mexicans and with whites. It was crazy too how you had to grow up knowing things and dangers others didn’t know. I moved to Portland and it opened my eyes to how dangerous my home area was |
