3 years, 7 months ago @anthonylalev4583 The invasion and destruction of the Canadian Culture by design. We simply do not have the infrastructure and these people running Canada are the enemy of the people and this nation. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @mytablet6115 How about housing bring all these immigrants at once we can't it be implemented over the next 10 years why does it have to be in the next 3 years this puts pressure on housing and drives up the cost of housing the reasons we have a mass amount of people living on the streets now because it's become unaffordable. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @FanBoy12345 Can't take proper care of the people we already have in Canada, more people would have kids if the price of living wasn't insane, all premediated by Trudeau admin & their failed policies.\nLooking at the numbers since 2015 tells the tale. 0 US0p1LUc_oU

3 years, 7 months ago @mirygalas6508 How can the government support 500,000 immigrants a year when statistics show immigrants haven't been able to reach a decent level of economic integration since 2003? This is especially concerning if the government wants to bring people to cover dead-end jobs with minimum wage, part-time schedules, no rights and no benefits, or programmes like the live-in care giver or seasonal workers that put vulnerable people in legal slavery. On top of that, the current population that lives under the poverty line, and those who are entering that socio-economic level as a result of housing bidding wars and inflation, think it would be more effective to create policy to eliminate poverty rather than bringing in more people to join it, which at the end, only benefit corporations. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @Whyducry Really??? And dump on the healthcare system even more? But ok just keep voting him in. When does it stop? 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @stephenoreilly3226 Right now, we need fewer immigrants, not more. It is irresponsible to be opening the floodgates to immigration when we do not have enough affordable housing for them to live in. Where are they going to live? Under the current system, we have more new Canadians bidding up the prices on a limited supply of housing. To say that increased immigration will build MORE houses is just not true. Since 2000, Canada has brought in 5 956 963 immigrants; (Source Statista). During that same period that we brought in almost 6 million new immigrants, Canada’s housing situation has deteriorated to the point so that people are unable to find affordable housing. Forty-year old’s are living in their parents basements because they cannot afford a house or rent an apartment. If 6 million new Canadians only makes housing worse, what will opening the flood gates do? No, we need to fix our problems at home. Ensure that there is enough housing for people to move into before bringing them into Canada. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @patryot5668 just being done for the votes they couldnt care less that it will break the country. just retirees and poeple who cant speak english or french clogging the roads, the health care system and buying up all the housing with foreign dollars and likely bringing in fifth columnist agents looking to attack the west. On the upside this idiocy will likely guarantee Canada implodes in less than 100 years. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @mason2800 Bastards of illegitimate birth ?? that is not the history of Canada.. you swindled your way here subsisting off of God's people off of physical israel, you will not last, you will never have happiness, you are literally corruption.\n\nYour ?? people are dying, good luck with your procreation problem.\nYour illegitimate tribe can't win, God has already decided.\n\nThere is no such thing as judeo Christian heritage and your people are done. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @TheKidCannibal dont get me wrong; i enjoy other cultures of people as a part of my population; that said, are we going to see double these numbers in new houses being errected? with appropriate size living areas/yards? not just complexes? are we going to see a healthcare system that can handle above 20% of our municipalities ? if we are talking about futures we need to ensure we can all have exactly that; a feasible future. 4 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @kevindean1327 I guess moving 500 000 people from a warm/hot climate to a cold one is part of Canada's commitment to reach it's climate goals. About as logical as taking the mask off in a restaurant while seated but having to put it back on when standing. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @macker0077 The problem is apparently the lack of people in Canada having kids. Some are trying, but unable (infertile for whatever reason), while others don't want children for various reasons, including the cost to raise them. So the government is resorting to ever increasing numbers of immigration to supply the economy with workers. This has been going on for quite a long time, though the numbers have increased dramatically in recent years. I wonder if the government has statistics on the success rate of those they bring into the country? And others have posted here the question of being able to deliver the services all these new comers will need. It's a valid concern. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @michaelwirth1402 Just business talk that’s all, they see Canada as land w lots of room , , to xploit all from trees to stuffing it overcrowded w peoples, this will try to make us equal with the USA with all the ugly problems they are dealing with, the young will be forced to deal with them as the old grow older, it the rich and powerful will dictate the spread of damage done , 0 US0p1LUc_oU

3 years, 7 months ago @FateTurns Canada needs LESS PEOPLE, talent doesn't come with just numbers, but instead we will lose resources and fight for what's left. VOTE FOR STRICTER IMMIGRATION LAWS!!!\n\nWe will have so much immigrants coming for our fresh water, OPENING OUR BOARDERS NOW IS THE WORST IDEA. 1 US0p1LUc_oU
3 years, 7 months ago @FoxExcess Canadians don't want this. You've been importing the third world here for decades, and low and behold things are worse than ever...gee wonder why. It's almost like it's not working or something. But instead of using common sense, the government decides to treat our country like its the old lady who swallowed a fly. 0 US0p1LUc_oU

3 years, 7 months ago @watduh123 immigration drives the economy. $1000 or more is the application fee mom refundable. White people are racist blaming immigrants on economic and housing problems. That's why there is a 25 per cent tax on non landed immigrants buying houses. Each dollar a person spends created $7 in the Canadian economy. You do the math. 500,000 times $1000 times $7. That is $35,000,000,000. billion. Just the application fee generates how much money in Canada. This does not include the people who applied and not allowed in. It is non refunable. This does include how much money generated by New immigrants spending money. New immigrants are what drives the economy with whatever money they bring here and spend buying cars, furniture, basic necessities and if possible houses or condos. Canada has a declining birth rate. What jobs is this guy talking about? Do a job search. There is no manufacturing in Canada. If any are kept in North America will go to Mexico. White people blame China where people are willing to work hard for less and no union formation or complaints. He does not mention the fees visa students pay which is 5 times Canadian Students pay at university or college is used to offset Canadian students so they pay low tuition fees. Knowing the real reason Canada needs visa and immigrants and how much money it generates just by the application fee, immigrants and visa students don't owe Canada nothing and other countries should adopt the same strategy to attract immigrants. Unfortunately the majority of Canadians are English, Scottish, and Irish which are racist blaming Canada's economic and job problems on immigrants. The majority think they are entitled and ignorant and arrogant. That's why they are called mange cake and Malakas and other names by immigrant groups. That is why you have China towns, Greek towns, Italian, Portuguese, INDIA , Jewish and other ethnic towns and ethnic communities don't visit small white towns or move to other provinces. Canada clean up your problem. 0 US0p1LUc_oU

3 years, 7 months ago @mrsdinty8013 In order for this plan to work for the good of all, the Canadian Charter must change, as it stands right now immigrants have more rights \nthan the Canada born citizen. Coming to Canada does not mean they can change the way Canadians live, what holidays we celebrate and what foods we serve or the laws of the country. This has been allowed to go on for too long and Canadian born citizens have no identity. Mr Trudeau’s government is, or so they say trying to preserve Canadians heritage but that’s not the case unless you are Indigenous or French.\nFurther more the rules of law must be equal. It should not matter what race or colour you are if you commit a crime you do the time, yes we need the likes of doctors or nurses, teachers and skilled workers but all should be able to converse in English and or French. \nThe 1 US0p1LUc_oU

3 years, 7 months ago @scottythegreat1 Why cant we meet our Paris Agreement numbers?? Because our government is bringing in more immigrants that need housing (cutting down trees), that need to get to places that cars need to be used to get to, that need to build new sewage treatment plants, that breathe in more air.\nYes! With more people coming into the country, our greenhouse gas emissions go up, so what does this government do?? Increase the carbon tax thats supposed to be used to fight climate change. Great scheme, increase carbon emissions by increasing our population so we have all the excuse in the world to increase the carbon tax at a time when energy prices are at a record high. 0 US0p1LUc_oU

3 years, 7 months ago @thedualtransition6070 Why? That's 5 million people every decade. Canada needs an immigration pause, to allow it to properly deal with the huge amount of immigration in the past 25 years. This only benefits the builders, the banks, the realtors etc., not the average Canadian. At this rate Ontario will start to look like Greater London, or Tokyo or some other metropolis - just a deeply dysfunctional one with crappy public transport. We didn't vote to lose the Canada that we love, and Trudeau doesn't have a mandate to destroy it. We can also kiss goodbye to our greenhouse gas emission targets with such a growth in population. 0 US0p1LUc_oU
