I've been through this system not me but I've looked it all up and yes if somebody wants to come here to America on a visa somebody hast to be willing to take care of them. But when somebody crosses the border that has no one here We pay for them. 6 years, 4 months ago @mg.4016 Its not as blatant as is used to be. But it's more of an indifference. I'm a landlord and I've rented out to Puerto Ricans, Blacks, and they were the greatest tenants. I've also rented to whites. I don't discriminate. I just go to a realtor and they find the best tenants. Stop looking at race! 0 WjmDwWUhEpg

6 years, 4 months ago @maryammazrou944 The whole bit about the store staff asking you if you needed assistance or hovering around you has happened to me when I was in Saudi Arabia in a store that sells electronic devises and books etc , bear in mind that I am Egyptian and that happens to me in Egypt as well so I don't think of it as race problem more so that some stores are just worried about theift, still that doesn't mean that I don't hate it, it makes you feel pressured to buy something so I thought if I went to Canada and if this happens to me it will be normal, now I don't think so.\nP.s. sorry my grammar and spelling isn't top notch giving that it isn't my native language. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg

6 years, 4 months ago @geishagrrl24 The only problems I can see with blind recruitment is, the person's application might be accepted, but if they have to interview in person they can still be rejected. Of if it is a phone interview and you have an accent you might not make pass it. Even if you get hired with blind recruitment and not interview is required, once you start working, if you are a minority some employers might look for ways to fire you. 6 years, 4 months ago @jmsomps I'm a white guy who lived in another country that wasn't a white majority country. There is discrimination in western countries, but there are ways to deal with it. The discrimination I had to deal with every day was much more than this, but nobody wants to know about that. The way I lived for those several years was to realize that I was different and I just had to maximize dealing with good people and when I knew that I would have to deal with something like having to get an apartment, I took that countries national with me knowing I would get a better deal. I was grabbed by officers at night and threatened. basically whatever is faced here, I had on a regular basis. At first, it pissed me off, but later, I came up with a way to maximize my life to get the best treatment I could. I didn't think I would be coming back to America, but eventually, I came back for more schooling and ended up staying. 1 WjmDwWUhEpg

We evolved to be wary of outsiders because at one time it served us as a species. Take any race and put them in any other country where they aren't the majority and this will happen. The lady told the white man that the price was not set but it would be roughly around 900. The other guy came and and she gave a set price of 930 and tried to insinuate that it was cuz our racism. She said it was around nine hundred for the white guy didn't put a set price. If a customer walks within x distance from you, then the rule says you're supposed to greet and ask them if they need assistance. The reason I'm saying this is because some employees follow the rule all the time, some forget. If you see a certain behaviour more than once among the same culture / group, you will naturally start categorizing. Most people think it's a skin colour (which very commonly is just an attribute of a certain culture or group), but in reality, it's hard to tell people not to stereotype and just simply ignore what you observe. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
