8 years, 7 months ago @retnavybrat Does Canada have stricter rules as to which family members are allowed to join the original immigrant? 3 sgvqYkd3Vu0
8 years, 7 months ago taibhsear71 Why do people who haven't contributed anything to our society get anything while seniors and veterans struggle? Seniors built this country and veterans defended it. I get that we want to help but we can't save the whole world. 169 13aml32ujw0
8 years, 7 months ago MasterofFace So they get what we get but only we pay for it. 59 13aml32ujw0

8 years, 7 months ago dancane83 Why govt setup a refugees camp outside of Canada in some other countries keep them there and send money or support from here .. then no one will claim refugee status 9 13aml32ujw0
8 years, 7 months ago georgewalkerbush5019 No it means Less Jobs for Actual Canadians 46 13aml32ujw0
8 years, 7 months ago @ottawadigs Facts much? Canada allows anyone to live in Canada for a year on the tax payers dime as long as they submit a refugee claim. The Canadian public is paying upwards of $60,000 CAD for each of these claimants living costs which is more than what many Canadians make in a year. Additionally if these claimants' claims are refused they simply leave for a day, come back and start the process all over again, again getting to live in Canada for a year on the tax payers back. What a great scam. 14 sgvqYkd3Vu0

8 years, 8 months ago @thagreatfrank3071 It’s amazing how so many people in this comment section can’t seem to understand this!! Just because you don’t see or deal with discrimination or racism doesn’t mean it’s not out here & happening every single day!! 117 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @MrKelvinwang Welll if u take Muslim to this experiment! I think it will be a “outstanding outcome “!!!!!!!:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD 0 WjmDwWUhEpg

8 years, 8 months ago @dianadams6983 we are not children why do people put something into everything we say......If you say something and anyone takes it as prejudice that does not mean you are prejudiced against anyone......we all have our quirks and the people that claim all of this usually take everything and analzye it ....instead of taking what is being said as just a comment.....there have been things said that I did not like but I do not say anything because everyone is entitled to their own opinions....... 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @JodyBruchon Something that stuck out to me was that $1350 and $1360 in several common fonts will look similar, especially on a quick glance and in smaller sizes. It is entirely possible that the guy misread the number. I think it's telling that CBC decided it was subtle racism rather than giving the guy the benefit of the doubt. I know there's a lot of bad behavior documented here but that behavior isn't any better. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @samuelgoldman7812 Canadiens shame on you 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @Selfcontortion Not important, but that white guy's shirt has all the telltale signs of straight edge hardcore! 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @Selfcontortion Do the jerks in the comment section not realize that they're pointing out how important it actually is to talk about this sort of thing? The anger and pushback this piece is getting is why discussions about subtler forms of racism need to be had. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @amanditawu I agree that racism exists in Canada in a subtle form. In my experience people would have more discrimination towards minority with foreign accents. I have heard from other people commenting immigrants 'this person has accent' and to me, it can be perceived negatively. Sometimes I feel I am treated differently because I have accent, especially at working environment. Few years ago I worked in school and my white boss put this on my yearly performance: Your 'emerging' English skills can have negative impact to children's language development. I didn't tell this to anyone but was very disappointed as we are a diversified country with so many immigrants, and this should not come out from an educator's mouth. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @creekwoodjoe1607 Islam is NOT a Race. There are white, brown, black, tan Muslims!\nIslam is a political system (Sharia) cloaked in religion. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @percymiller4570 I'm going to go eat some BBQ pork ribs and real homemade cracklins. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @gulfunited4261 Those who are denying racism or pretending no racism exists are just part of the problem 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @JohnDoe-mg8sv BTW BestBuy, Sports Expert, LCBO and SAQ pretty much do racial profiling. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @JohnDoe-mg8sv You shouldn't even include what whites have to say about racism, they never experience it and that is why don't care about it. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @roadfart5537 13:09 nobody said that, ever. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @ernestogarcia3445 Oh yeah, Thats what we Immigrants will do. We will guilt the white people and then take over ooh yeah 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @ronaldckrausejr7762 Add these unfortunate facts in...\n\nTake a look at the amount of people that search for rental property online. NEVER enter your email or ANY other personal identifying information about you before you have stepped foot onto the property. Why? Because they will search out quite the number of things about you, and are able to do a type of brief credit report on you.\n\nThey can technically claim that there are no rentals available for you at a particular location based upon information you have supplied. If you are able to obtain a rental contract; they can adjust the amount of items such as security deposit and the amount of rent to be paid, also based upon the very information you have supplied.\n\nWant convenience? Think twice.\n\nA number of landlords offer a type of automatic monthly withdrawal for items such as monthly rent. Do not do it. The fines and penalties are considerably higher if one has done something as simple as making a mistake in ones accounting. Add to that, when one leaves the rental; one can have fees added in if the location is not left as perfect. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @1966bluemax They are profiling because all Chinese are rich; so, they charge more for rent. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @GrandmasterDinnerRoll I'm sickened by that Shoppers in Regina. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @shphck just try these guys for job application or job interview ;). And smell the racism 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @david78212 Best Buy is horrible when you go, and i'm white. I get overwhelmed with Best Buy and am constantly being asked if I need help. The rest are just people in a hurry. You won't always be told they have this or that because they are not reading a script. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @darkquaesar2460 Canada < not a terrorist country I know a certain type of seal would disagree. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @grebeau1 People suffer discrimination all over the world for any reason and in their own countries of origin. Notice on the video the black guys test result showed he loved white people but the white people had unity with their own kind. The black community has a love hate relationship with light skin blacks who get good treatment at times and discriminated against in their own community most of the time. This is called colorism. I live in the USA. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @kareem2457 Lol white would never understand the concept of this magnitude that why they said it doesn't exist 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @Del-Canada I have some prejudice about certain people and topics and I stereotype of course. It's an automatic thing for humans to do. We immediately assess everything and anyone around us. That's normal. Now, what isn't normal is going out of your way to violate the rights of any human being or to harass them in any manner. Obviously we can't help what we think and what is in our heads but we can control whether or not we act on these things. Fortunately most of us do not act on our thoughts, but some people do. 3 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @vg7735 I'm white and got at the checkout once or twice they asked to look in my backpack. I never got asked with a handbag. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @honeybsweetnectar1713 Nothing surprises me.... Canada's no different 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @elizabethperrault4545 There are racists from all races and there are others that don't judge by race from all races.   Sad that this is even still happening. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @juliaherbet2063 In 2006 I applied for a job in a different city in UK and because of my last name they invited me for an interview expecting a white person. When they saw me they mentioned that they I was a white person. I was shocked. And I turned the offer because I felt I will be experiencing racism if I take the job. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @91rummy Now I get it...When I am looking around at things to shop, one of the store staff is constantly with me, whichever way I move. I always thought they just want to be there to help. I can't shop longer with someone constantly watching me browsing through. After 5 min, it builds up pressure and I quit. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @thetwistedsamurai I wonder if all this time when I constantly bump into employees if they're monitoring me as well.\n\nI'm half Native but don't _exactly_ look it because my dad was really pale. You can tell I'm not 100% white but I could pass.\n\nI do walk around with my own grocery bags because I take the bus/walk home, so I do look a tad suspicious I suppose, so that kind of makes me wonder. They seem very friendly when I speak to them or ask for help though so maybe it's a coincidence. 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
8 years, 8 months ago @sperrie973 This episode is alot like the American show called, What Would You Do? 0 WjmDwWUhEpg
