2 years, 10 months ago @willyg3241 Sadly, you came to the wrong country. If the government gives you housing, than as a tax payer they should give me housing because they failed me first. Canada is broken. 33 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @j.barren3738 More,more Canadian taxpayers money. 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @Ad0akes Most migrants pay trafficers so can afford to pay for accommodation 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @jenalatz3589 Poverty and job opportunity are not grounds for asylum. 18 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @richardramfire3971 Sorry but most of these came for a handout. I don’t hear any of them talking about wanting jobs. 60 million dollars will be paid by Canadian taxpayers who are already over taxed. Thanks Trudeau. Cause we need more taxes 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @richardramfire3971 You cannot just go to a country and expect to get things. You can ask for help. But not demand. Which is what they are doing. I’d be willing to help someone that wants to work and contribute 10 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @yiweixiong4825 The city government incompetence is actually a lot more to blame than lack of funds. 5 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @yiweixiong4825 100 million can't house 4000 refugees? thats 25k per person its litterally enough to rent individually for a year. Government is supposed to provide more efficient solutions because of higher concentration of resources, but their solution is being worst than just distributing the money, which defies the point of the government. 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @Dogmomwalkpov Lol. So demanding. 3 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @robertaftrimmer4949 They are a Federal Responsibility? 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @thebdceigal It’s hilarious to watch refugees come here and talk about how they expect to be given free handouts. Then you have the NDP waiting with open arms ready to sign away federal taxpayer money to support them. Only in Canada. 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @sybillestahl8646 If anyone who has an extra bedroom in their house feels moved to help out, call Romero House. They facilitate the temporary housing of refugee claimants in private homes. 4 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @rickyharris1093 Go home 2 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @hotstuff697 Hey Olivia, how about offering your home as a shelter for these people 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @very_awake Please let’s not print more money to fund this Liberal vanity project. Those bleeding hearts who are “gung-ho” to open our doors to these people should raise the necessary funds. We, the middle class, are overtaxed and had enough of this nonsense 3 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @MYRANDY65 Simple go back home and be greatful 5 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @keithlightminder3005 We have so much land shared with us from First Nations at no cost, we need to pay it forward and support them. We have so much money as a country, it is entirely possible. Isn’t Jeff Bezos Canadian? 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @teresawilson3893 Sounds like ungrateful and entitled. 13 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @JustBree716 Damn. Im right next door in Buffalo. We' obviously have these similar issues in the states. Thankfully my city has been able to dodge the influx as it is happening in nyc, Chicago. Interesting to see it happening to a similar capacity in Canada 2 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @HepCatJack A third of Toronto office buildings are empty. The Federal govt. could rent them to provide shelter to the refugees to keep them out of the rain. 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @patrickhuang6893 Why do these refugees take it for granted that Canada is somehow responsible for their well being once they claim to be refugees, Canaca already has a robust refugee benefits for those who are persecuted in their home country. But, to think Canada should welcome them with open arms and open all doors for them to live comfortably they should look at ordinary struggling canadians and lower their expectation. 28 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @donnalawrence9054 I feel very sad in America for all of the veterans and other US citizens living on the streets. I feel bad for all citizens whose own country won't or can't find apartments or housing for them. 11 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @maggie4396 TRUDEAU JUST WAKE UP ! SLEEPY MAN! SHAME! 0 RBRIAkAGf9g
2 years, 10 months ago @Bakalakalajihad When you seek Asylum, it is from the place you came from and in this case it is U.S.A. which is a first world country. You cannot seek asylum from U.S.A. that is not how asylum works because I came to Canada 30 years ago on asylum and I applied via Canadian embassy in that country.....it took 4 years. Ten years before I got here asylum seekers when allowed to come were on contract to live and work in Winnipeg for 4 years before they can leave province. 5 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @Elizabeth.RMartin86 lived in Peirce County(mostly Tacoma) WA State almost my entire life. I just wasn't born there. I was born in Kennewick, WA, state. I have lived in a couple of other states not as long as I have lived in Peirce County Tacoma Washington State. I have only lived in Seattle, WA state since 2014-2023 that's only the past 9 years. I never had a driver's license except of 2002 in Guthrie Job Corps Center Oklahoma. I never renewed it. I also never owned a car. I have earned a permit only in Washington state, and Alisha Badger allowed me to drive her car with her in it because she was allowing me to drive. The last time I owned a driver's permit was 2007. I never had a bad driving record. Only 1 ticket for speeding, but Alisha Badger and her husband payed it that was 2007. The only other USA states I have ever lived is Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Georgia in my younger years. I'm 36 years old and I never left United States of America ?? 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @j.c.nightwalker5322 Is Toronto the only city in Canada. Toronto is full beyond capacity. I have been waiting for a call for RGI for more than 13 years and never recieved even one call for a place. So many people are coming to Toronto fleeing whatever they are fleeing, getting housing, and help while i and my children continue to pay for it and live like we are in a third world country because we have to decide if we pay the rent or eat healthy. Dollarama is my frigging grocery store, all the while my taxes pay for people who never payed taxes here. Our country is so ridiculously broken. 5 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @aSsFgHjKl-cq9iz Don’t come to Canada, we got people here struggling already 15 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @ReneeKnightYogaRani Rain ? in summer is wonderful! \n\n? Wait until you experience a Toronto winter! 10 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @ReneeKnightYogaRani Our shelters have been full, overwhelmed with too many people coming from elsewhere in Canada as well as other countries!\n\nRefugees are a federal government responsibility, what’s Trudeau going to do about it? 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @ReneeKnightYogaRani What support would I get as a Canadian if I went to his country of origin? \n\nIn two weeks, would I have a home if I couldn’t afford to pay for it? NO! 32 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @ReneeKnightYogaRani There are so many people living in the streets, & in tents in the park in Toronto & elsewhere! It must be tough now for new immigrants unless they are wealthy! 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @oliverfurtado7657 Canada not the place to come right now no rooms for us Canadians 19 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @shambhala3090 There is no economy for accepting more asylum seekers. The system is already drained with Ukraine,Afghan, and other refugees. Trudeau government needs to rethink their strategy to why this helps us. \nInterest rates and inflation are to help offset the war in Ukraine. That needs to be compared to another Afghanistan. Most likely, we will be in it for the long haul and pull out if it never ends. Our country will pay the price drastically. 13 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @Sam19509 Chow and Trudeau should pull a Ron DeSantis and load all these people in buses and ship them to Alberta and Saskatchewan?. They will liberalize the two dumbest provinces in the country?. 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @grandmaG67 We're sorry but your not welcome really according to our government. Our owner people don't have shelter either. 3 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @janetmaxwell222 Perhaps some of these people can step up and assist their new country. There are 20,000 construction jobs vacant in Ontario right now. There will be in all these people...some with expertise to help. 7 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @Niso4Life Canada owes you nothing, go back and make your own country better instead of running away 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @BudzzableRides The whole country is going downhill under the Trudeau regime. He threw away another 2.6 BILLION this week, with no clue where it actually goes. It’s a photo opp for him at any cost. 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @raybrown982 Toronto is not the best choice to live, very overpopulated. Maybe asylum seekers should go to a city that less populated. 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @peterfarsha Many canadians are homeless or can't afford housing , why are we allowing so many ukranina refugees in hotel rooms all over the country ? But africans and others are in shelters ?! Why does the goverment disriminates? 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
