2 years, 10 months ago @Wonkaforever Perhaps Canada should put a moratorium on the insane amount of immigration until it fixes the housing shortage problem? Seems logical thinking to me. You deal with the core problem first. Not rocket science. 16 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @jeanbolduc5818 Montreal has more asylum seekers than Toronto .... more than 50,000 arrived by Roxham road last year ... Toronto are always asking money from Canada and cannot managed their own issues ... another incompetent mayor 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @vangroover1903 It's nice they are prioritising Canadians, tough as it must be, even for that whiney crybaby beggar they interviewed. 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @murffromcanadamurf6414 There is housing in nothern ontario where these people can work at year round fly in fishing and hunting camps..\nHousing in the northwest territory where they can work 2 weeks in at mine sites and out for 2 weeks in the apartment..\nSo there are just a few options and you can have these people out of big cities and employed and living in housing while working which the housing will be covered for free..\nJust thinking of options for these people.. 4 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @whitepanther7041 None of this adds up. Doug Ford tells Justin Trudeau to bring in more immigrants to help fill the labour gaps in society. Why is there anyone homeless? These speakers who claim to be homeless look well put together; they're clearly getting resources from somewhere. 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @pau11iska8D Lack of affordable housing -- lack of housing in general -- is the main reason people already living here are being priced out and why so many refugees and immigrants cannot afford the cost when they move here. When these people come to Canada for a better life and/or to escape the suffering that they were living in, they cannot bring their homes with them. It is the government's responsibility at all levels to ensure that these newcomers have a place to go when they come here. A homeless shelter should not be the answer. Buy up office spaces and convert them (if safe to do so with whatever codes need to be met) into affordable housing units. For years we've been seeing hundreds of news articles about vacancies in office buildings being at all time highs, yet only a handful of them are being converted. 500,000 people a year entering a country where there isn't enough housing for them (let alone the people living here already) is irresponsible on the government's part. If this is your pledge, at least give these people a better life and not send them to shelters or onto the streets as soon as they arrive. If Canada is to truly be a safe haven for immigrants and refugees escaping their hardships, it's paramount that the government does what it can to make these people actually feel like their life will change for the better. I'm all for immigration since it helps the economy and knowing that Canada can put people in a better position for themselves and their families, but it's the lack of preparation from the governments that makes me question their pledge in this way. 6 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @alphaghettit-rex797 So why do they feel like they're more entitled to said resources before Canadian citizens/residents are??? Be happy your not getting your head chopped off in Uganda.... 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @radrcanada It's okay Toronto, let's spend another $25 million to dig up a $3 million tunnel machine. Toronto council never has budget overruns and always completes projects on time ? 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @truecanadian1616 A problem created by Justin Trudeau's Virtue Signalling. Instead of ensuring that all Peoplekind wanting to emigrate to Canada were properly vetted both to protect Canadians and all other emigrants he opened Canada's borders without any oversight. And at the time Toronto declared itself a 'sanctuary city' instead of pushing back on Justin's ill thought plan. So, Toronto, enjoy the fruits of your decision. 1 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @christinarosed.p.1967 This is what we get for Trudeau making deals with Soros period! We have a Traders running and ruining our Country!!! 2 years, 10 months ago @Mimi2015_ Canadians can’t afford rent or a mortgage. Canadians are loosing their homes because of interest hikes\nCanadians can’t afford groceries or gas WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT CANADA IS A GOOD COUNTRY? \nTry Sweden or Australia 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @nickie88888 They do not help Canadian born why you didn’t research that before you enter illegally in this country or as a refugee? Canadian born young people at universities are sunk in student loans while this government give tons of money to others this country lost its North 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @Whynotcreate They don't help Canadians why would they bring more people here that they're not going to help. I can't imagine being a newcomer thinking you'd be able to afford life here. 71 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @artur19915 Is Canada first safe country for those people? If not, then why call them refugees? But illegal… 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @Stardusted1 Maybe the feds should have shut down the Roxham road fiasco sooner. Just saying. They poured over that border like crazy and now we think there’s a problem? Look at every nation on earth being inundated. Pretty soon it will look like the places they were running from. All part of the plan in my opinion. Destabilizing the world one war at a time. No one can afford a house even with high paying jobs. Some towns are giving these people homes when they arrive! To hell with the locals! So as glad as I am you’re calling attention to Toronto’s problem, pointing out this other BS is pretty important too. It’s no different than what the UK is going through, except their situation is even worse! One thing is certain though, and it’s happening everywhere. The people are fed up. 0 Q_x6WfyWiR8
2 years, 10 months ago @coffeelover1763 Maybe asylum seekers can understand how all the Canadian homeless feel, no room in shelters for anyone. 161 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 10 months ago @stormrunner0029 Welcome to Canada. We are out of those types of resources. Our Prime Minister is a trust fund playboy who spent all our money in other countries.\nYou may want to go to Ottawa and camp out there. You may not get shelter, but you will be closer to him. Maybe you can chat and he’ll make you feel proud to be there. 84 Q_x6WfyWiR8

2 years, 11 months ago @dalepearson9658 So let me see...if you get lots of attention, it's racism. \nIf you don't get any attention, it's racism. \nWhen isn't it racism?\nI've lived in canada almost 60 years and I've only ever witnessed, what would classify as racism one time and I called it out, subsequently. \nI pay attention, all the time and in that many years, I think one occurrence is pretty darn impressiv, for a country. 1 WjmDwWUhEpg
2 years, 11 months ago @mathewlee5712 I would've loved if they could've done that test with U.S./Canadian customs officer. I had one agent that I assumed I was carrying drugs just because I was attending a heavy metal concert. 2 WjmDwWUhEpg

2 years, 11 months ago @applee4451 It is because Trudeau's policy, there are express process for those who entered Canada this way to get PR. From the date they made refugee claim, they receive welfare, their children get education as Canadian citizen. Those who pay application fee to immigrate Canada have to wait years, and after they arrive they have to wait 3 months to get health care. But this people can get health in 3 days. How many of them are real refugees. Trudeau use our Canadian tax payers money to get his future voters. 1 RBRIAkAGf9g

2 years, 11 months ago praful6890 This is propaganda video for the Liberal party even tho it is delivered by a extreme leftist woman from the CBC. The amount refugees get upto $50,000 is a lot more than many Canadian families make. Most Canadians are not elegible for legal aid or dental care. Who bears the cost of medicare, education, housing, policing, crime.....you guessed it, the Canadian Taxpayer. You know it is a propaganda video when she said the refugees give back more than they take. Do you see woman in a hijab or nicab working ?? She is not allowed by her religion to mix where there are men around. So most of them are pregnant, with 3 or 4 other toddlers around and you see them in malls at all hours of the day. That's how you tell the govt that you have not settled well yet and get more aid. The boat people of Vietnam came from a culture that honored hard work, education, discipline, creating wealth and the women had no restriction from religion in working with men (a lot of them were Catholic or Buddhist). The middle east people are a whole different kettle of fish. It's men who work, if at all, and women are primarily for breeding. They are not allowed to socialise with men outside the family and have to be accompanied by a male relative while outside the home. It's been five years since they landed and there have been many acts of terrorism Canadians have been faced with. However, they have become citizens and who are they voting for ??? It's not the PC. That leaves NDP and Liberals. 99% Liberals. 1 13aml32ujw0
2 years, 11 months ago @nategoldin1982 How dear Justin closed the border???? The were all fleeing from terrible trump. Never mind that the guy is no longer in office for number of years but that doesn’t matter. Rule of law fails to exist on both sides of the border Shame on all lefties for destroying our countries 0 RBRIAkAGf9g
2 years, 11 months ago @louistournas120 It is not pleasant when it happens to you.\n\nI’m armenian, in Quebec. When I went to high school, I received great grades in a certain class and the teacher had promised to give 2$ each week to the best grade.\nI think we did a test each week? Anyway, this was in 1994.\nHe made that promise at the beginning, so he did not know who knows how much.\nFor me, the class was easy since I study at home and know the subject for years.\nSo, I was getting 100% each time and winning each weak.\nThe teacher was french.\n\nThen, he started making silly reasons to take off marks. The line we make on the left side, top to bottom is 2 mm to the left and other nonsense. 1 WjmDwWUhEpg
