Australia ended it's birth right citizen in 1981. Now, the babies born here have to have at least 1 parent who is a citizen or PR, in order to be a citizen. If both parents are not citizens, the child automatically becomes a citizen when the child turns 10 and both parents become citizens too, but the parents have to have some kind of work visa, Student visa, or some kind of visa that allows them to stay and work here. Unless they have changed it. So, good for you America. Boris Johnson was born in the USA and grew up in the UK but the US gov wanted some of that tax money when he tried to sell his house in the UK. |

My parents, grandparents and great grandparents were all born in the USA. Having pregnant women coming as illegal immigrants should not become a citizen even though the baby is born here. Actually she knew she was pregnant before she came, but that doesn’t mean she can’t become a legal citizen, but it needs documentation like I have had to prove many times to get work. |
