2 years, 10 months ago @aprilm.1277 I think American's are becoming desensitized to shootings. There have been gun scares at two different schools my kids have attended (even in a more affluent area), and I have spoken to other kids who are afraid to play in their own yard because of shootings near their house. This was not an issue when I was little. Things are getting out of hand, and we can't effectively deal with this issue if we are desensitized to it. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @deborahraymond-or6vv Not in your life lol? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @marykay8587 American education system has a failing grade....whoever thinks their public school system is great 8s......uneducated ? but i LOVE visiting America ❤ 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @Stiffdistantandweird I simply cannot imagine living in a society where kids have to do “active shooter drills” in school. Nor can I imagine living in a country that demands my children start their day pledging allegiance to their country! 4 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @Stiffdistantandweird As an Australian in his 50’s, I grew up idolising the US. I’ve been there a few times and loved it and have some close friends in the US. \n\nBUT…. I have been following US politics closely and I have absolutely no interest in even visiting there again. My friends are actually planning to move away as soon as possible. \n\nIt really saddens me to be honest. 15 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @marcravey4621 Really no difference between both countries We kill in different ways. America with guns and drugs. Canada with drugs and MAID. For those that don't know the what MAID is. Medical Assist In Dying. Government sponsored. Not too distant future, Canada will overtake the U.S. in yearly non accidental deaths . \n Funny, Canada has been portrayed as a friendly Peace Keeper. Now we will be known as People who die quietly, without a fight. Ten Thousand last year alone. At least we lead the world in something 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @Dragonfly-LazyDynamite At 65, I have managed to visit 35 of the US states. Each time I returned to Canada, I got down on my hands & knees to kiss the ground of this country. I felt instant stress relief as soon as I did return safely. These days, I never want to step foot there again. To make life more interesting, I have a brother in Chicago. There’s an oxymoron. He is a trucker that likes Nascar, has no children of his own & married a lovely American girl who already had children (now grown). He sees the variations between counties - he stays for the $$. He comes home for huge doses of Canada & family. 11 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @freespirit54321 Absolutely not! Every time I watch the news, I feel lucky I don't live in the US. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @MacNeilR Typical American, unaware of what is truly going in the USA and in other countries. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @FlexibleFlyer50 Only the illegals want to come to the US----for the freebies. Thinking people realize the US is now a third world country thanks to the Democrats all over the US. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @jeanyvesangers3885 I,m French Canadian close to Vermont by the news I got,gun trump and racist prick no never American dream or Canadian dreams,it’s not hard to choose… 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @elizabethrunciman1339 I am Canadian and yes I would but I would only consider a red state. \nCanada has become a fascist country. It is so Woke. We are becoming a third world country. \nCanadians think health care is free. It isn't. Education and health care are substandard. The only reason I want to stay in Canada it is my love of Canada and our what our forefathers gave to our country. \nI lived in the US for four years and loved it! Great people and very kind. \nLots of bat shit crazy Canadians 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @caroldavis7792 I am surprised that you are surprised about our concern about gun Violence! I don’t think people in USA consume news in the same way Canadians do. Or maybe you have just become numb to it. Because there have been over 400 mass shootings in your country SO FAR this year. It is widely considered to be one of the most unsafe countries in the world! It seems Americans are the only ones who don’t get it. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @caroldavis7792 That’s a hard no. Not even maybe. Having travelled to the US many times, I always felt like I was stepping back into the 1960’s. They have fallen so far behind, they think they’re in front. Culturally, Canada is much more similar to Europe than our geographically closest neighbour. Several of my friends have lived in the US, but all moved back because they felt their children were not being educated to a standard they would have been in Canada. 5 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @Givenspark I would never live in the U.S., there has been more mass shootings than days in 2023 so far?? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @okamsug The US is an angry, scary, violent and dark place of late. I used to enjoy visiting the place with my family when I was a kid. Today, I won't even consider it. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @shroam3337 Canadian here. Would I move to US. HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @Gavi95 You always do a great job! Thanks!???? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @lachainedumeurtrekillerpot1908 12:41 french anser always the best straight to the point like are you crazy??? 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @Gavi95 We lived in the US for 10 years and it was great! Unfortunately 9/11 happened and we moved back to Canada!??? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @SheilaBrown-fs7kb Nope. The two best leadership candidates you have are past their expiry date and one of them is a horrible human being. We see you America with your Santoses, Marjorie Taylor Greens and Rick De Santises. Nope. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @kjackers5710 Retired Canadian here and yes I would move there in a heartbeat were it not for the connections here. I think the Florida Keys would fit at least for a lengthy visit 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @Noalmenclature Canadians aren't patriotic like Americans are. We aren't going to stay here just because it's Canada, but we also respect ourselves more than to move to a fourth world country like the US. (Because calling it a third world country is an insult to most developing nations) 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @marcleblanc6293 Certain areas I would consider, northern Michigan, upper U.P., northern New York, western states....just stay away from the larger cities and really much the same as Canada as far as the people go. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @michellem3050 Don't ask the question if you can't take the answers. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @brendad7559 Love your channel!\n To your question....\nNot a f?cking chance!\nLack of Healthcare\nBad gun laws\nWomen losing their rights.\nLGBQT+ losing their rights.\nThat is just to name a few \n??? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @judepoirier2031 But…kids (and others) ARE being shot on a daily basis in the USA. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @truecrime5193 I'd be scared to send my kids to school 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @timkravitz1065 The dream was, when I retire I was going to joint the snowbirds and flock south to Florida or Arizona. Winters for seniors in many parts of Canada are pretty rough. However since 2016 the US has gone so far off the rails, I have looked at other countries to warm up in the winter. I used to visit the US every two years, but now, I don't want to visit let alone live there. Canada is not perfect, but the overall quality of life is much better, the fear-factor of just about everything from Government, to gun-violence is just so ridiculous, I have given up on the US turning around any time soon. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @christinestewart987 No. No! Tyler...be Stragicic about Where you Live? Small towns...Columbine...Uvalde...hasn't affected You...yet. Absolutely a freakin Joke of a so called country yet you think you are so Great. Never were. Never will be. I wouldn't even go there again Ever...stupid killing mentality...guns. what a joke 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @billmeek4777 No way in hell,,, we at least aren't doing random racest , child violent, stuff ,,, even some of the problems in Canada come from idiots attracted by American freedum loser plans ,, you claim to be Christian but can't even follow the simpl est of the 10 commandments ,, do unto others how you would like them to treat you ?? ,, there's more to life than cash , to a nice life 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @dennisegrant5901 A small quiet town, like Uvalde? 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @robertlongwill8856 The only reason I moved to the USA is if my ex-wife threatened to move to the same town I'm living in 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @marylouwalsh4809 Absolutely not. Health care, gun violence, lack of social programs, i.e maternity and paternity leave, drinking age 19 vs 21, discrimination and the list goes on. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @helenemackellar5922 We have gun we can buy them we just have a lot of regulation and vetting to make sure you aren’t a nutbar 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @helenemackellar5922 My dad once said Canada is like america for freedoms but the difference is if they screw something up we learn from that and make it better. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @helenemackellar5922 I would never move to america, too much crime related to gun violence, we have health care we have no over population we have the most lakes in the world and our people are friendly. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @robertlongwill8856 U.s. is not even close to Canada in that respect. We are as different from the United States as England is to France I used to like to visit in the United States I'm not going back 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @Black.Irish.Charmer.Explores I'm really enjoying your dive into all things Canada. Have you been up here yet? If not, why not give us a shot. From what I've seen so far, I know you'd enjoy it, and you're always welcome. Also, count me as a no vote on moving south. Every time I've visited, I've found that the urban decay made me sad and a little bit scared. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @dmurphy9341 You said move to a small town for safety? You mean like Uvalde? That theory doesn't hold water. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @matt0395 We have Starbucks now too and it sucks 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @williamrallis83 Americans and Canadians are so much alike and yet so different.\n... The good American influence flows over the border in great amounts.\nA Canadian in America can fit in real good hardly noticeable.\nAn American in Canada sticks out like a sore thumb! \nYa, I would move to America. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @hommedterre1 When I left the Philippines for Europe in the eighties, I first went to the US to again visit relatives. They asked me if I considered staying. Much as I love my relatives I said NO. When I was working for an US airline in the 90s here in Europe would fly from Europe so very often for business and pleasure (sometimes just the weekend) and those trips really just cemented my decision not to move there despite relatives prodding. My single Aunt even offered me to be the sole heir to her entire fortune (over a million dollars) if I stayed there. I declined. My tolerance for ignorance, materialism and hypocrisy is very low. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @shirleyjenkins11 Americans feel everyone has usa high on a pedestal which couldn't be further from the truth. Hollywood has done a good job of social engineering the people to think usa is the best and do everything the right way and any other way is ìnferior.\nHaving experience working with Americans who were nice people but extremely ignorant that other countries can do things better and try to change everything without considering there is better ways..\nIm not Canadian I'm Australian but being a cousin in the Commonwealth of Nations. We all have a similar philosophy and having a constitutional monarchy protects from tyranical fascist governments. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @elcprof Children getting shot is not a “touchy subject.” It’s an insane problem. And yes, there are children shot daily! Dude, there is no where on the planet where there are children and humans shot on anywhere CLOSE to the scale that it happens in the US.\n\nAnyway, move to the States? Not on your life! I used to like some vacations there, but the current insane right-wing, fascist politics, anti-vax and anti-mask and anti-science entrenched attitudes, and MOSTLY the pervasive threat of gun violence and the manic love affair with guns — UGH - all mean I am not interested in even vacationing there. There is a sane world outside the USA.\n\nNor would I want to live inside such an inward-looking, self-absorbed “we are the centre of the world” culture that truly believes itself superior to all others in the world. The hubris and delusion are very off-putting. \n\nAnd to live in such a broken health care system? Where profits drive it all? Not on your life.\n\nOh, I couldn’t stand the hot weather that so many places have either. No thanks! I’ll take my coldest large city in the world (Winnipeg) any day. \n\nThere is nothing appealing about the prospect of living anywhere in the States, despite WONDERFUL vacations I’ve had there is past decades. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @SileneKitty I'm a 37 year old Canadian and I've never even seen a gun up close, never worried about my safety in school, never worried about gun violence, never had to worry about hospital bills, etc. The list goes on. Also I wish the U.S could chill the fuck out because you're dragging us down with you 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @terrizacharias3535 Mexico is more enticing than the USA 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @terrizacharias3535 Never. Don't even want to visit it. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 10 months ago @CanadaKeith The Government of Canada recently issued a 'travel advisory' for the United States travel because of random acts of violence with no pretense that you can protect yourself. I've heard of 'travel advisories' for certain States, but this is the first time I've heard it for the entire U.S. anywhere. In answer to the question: No. Too many guns, too many gun owners, too much religion pumping out hate and bigotry and too much arrogance. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
