Post secondary education use to be about knowledge, learning and the effort applied by students. Now it is about butts in seats. This is one side of the story. The other side is the absolute obsession that most indians have when it comes to living abroad. Bunch of 25-26 year olds in that protest, who basically took shortcuts to their dream life. \nIndians are ready to struggle abroad, but not put the same effort back home. Which is fine, but taking the illegal route is not. |

I was an international student who came to Canada in 2013 (not from India). I studied and worked at the same time while trying to find an affordable housing. it was hectic at times, but I managed like everyone else I know. Just mature up and push through, it only gets better with time. |
