3 years, 5 months ago @grayantihero6059 Hmm I wonder why urban metropolitan areas in the usa are more dangerous? I can't just put my finger around it...\n\nAnd new Orleans is a shit hole. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @Teddy_Gautier 5:51 OMG I felt like you were speaking after my own heart. The obsession with cheese here is sickening, but you’re called a weirdo for not being in love with it the way some people here are 1 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @NeoN-PeoN Canada has actually had some very interesting politics over the last few years. Remember how Canada's government responded to the Freedom Convoy? That shit was WILD dude. 6 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @thesteviemcnasty My family moved to a suburb of Atlanta 15 years ago from LaSalle, QC. I am happy to be away from the language politics and snow, but the living areas here are so segregated. They call the US a melting pot, but from my perspective the individual parts aren't blending together. I was so used to seeing Italian, African, Irish, Indian, Caribbean, Native, Asian, Middle Eastern, you name it peoples everyday at work, shopping and at the gym. Based on where I live, I really only see African Americans. The funny thing is, if I travel just a few miles in a specific direction, the demographics change dramatically. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @MrTekniqs NYC has clean tap water. Problem is the pipes in your building might be from the 1800s. But the segregation is dead right. I remember being a kid (20+ years ago) walking through Queens and I'm in a neighborhood that's lauded for being the biggest melting pot. But these MFs were racist towards black people. Hell every neighborhood that wasn't predominantly black, didn't want blacks in it. I traveled all over the city and had to deal with that. Even in the Heights where most Dominicans are my complexion. Let them find out I'm not Dominican too...\n\nI found this to be true in most places I've been to in America. Hell in Florida, Jacksonville area I've seen people driving around with nooses hanging from their rear view mirrors. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @theconnected7234 Spoiler alert: American public transportation is designed to keep you stuck and unable to afford a car 0 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @PepperoniPlayboii NY is basically the only place in the states with good tap water. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @HeroForSale474 I've recognized how blessed I am to live in a part of the states that has drinkable tap water. I've been to almost every state and almost everywhere I've been in the states, people do not drink from the tap or if they do it goes through a filter first. Where I grew up, tap water was just as good if not better than bottled water, and where I live now (few hours away from my parents) it's not as good, but definitely still drinkable.\n\nVancouver was one of my favorite places I've ever visited, hopefully one day I'll make it over to Toronto and Ontario too. 15 4lD0_fuB7qA
3 years, 5 months ago @donjulio420 In an average year, 30K people die because of a lack of healthcare. And many folks are going bankrupt because they're sick. It's usually what you can't see that is the most important. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @DrizzyDrake279 It's honestly pretty odd hearing these people's stories about these huge major American cities, while I live in town of 50 thousand people, but people live very far away from each other in Northern Indiana. 0 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @choncha23 Los Ángeles is a weird place. People are segregated when it come to low income communities. The reason Los Angeles and Los Angeles county are like this is due to the gangs. In Los Angeles county, there are a lot of divisions of cities. City within a city. Each city has a main gang. For example, my city of La Puente. The main gang is La Puente 13. Within The city of La Puente there are subunits of gangs according to the different streets around the city. There are like 7 to 8 different gangs within La Puente. The neighboring cities are like this to, so things can get pretty violent. This is why Los Angeles is very segregated. In low income communities people just stay with their own people. \n\n Things are different in College towns and upper middle class communities are a lot more diverse. That is what you see in the movies. 1 4lD0_fuB7qA

3 years, 5 months ago @michiomi1 love it! a much needed conversation that often turns into generalities. as a Canadian who lived 20 years in the US, thanks very much for slowing down the conversation to point out that both countries are large and incredibly diverse. one's experience in one part of either country can be wildly different from another part so clearly we need to talk about individual experiences. also massive shoutout to point to our clean drinking water; an important resource that most people overlook. hit me up if you ever want to talk about how Toronto is the new Constantinople.... 15 4lD0_fuB7qA
