2 years, 11 months ago @brucecollis8609 I don't want to live in a country where there is no health care 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @prescod I have no interest in moving to the U.S., but the main reason people do choose to move there is for money. On average, middle class, upper middle class or upper class Americans are wealthier than the equivalents in Canada. At the top end, dramatically richer. People who are in it for money or for some specific job tend to move to the U.S. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @TranceEmotion I had a friend whos family split up and all 4 children and their mom ended up down in Philadelphia somewhere (some cult/religious thing she got into that started the whole divorce ect) and they would come back to Canada for visits. When he would explain going to school, having to walk through metal detectors on the way in, guarded by cops with SMG's I just couldn't fathom what he was talking about or why it would be needed. Luckily I managed to convince him to stay one time when he came and visited and still lives here. Personally I'm considering moving with how hostile my government here in Canada has become to anything oil/gas/nuclear/fertilizer. My trade (Steamfitter/Pipefitter) is being reduced to shut down work only and I have some family down in Texas and its pushing me more and more to start looking elsewhere for work. However I'm single, if I had a family there would be no way id leave. As good of healthcare you have down there (way better than most if not all of Canada in relation to wait times and expertise), one long illness or something and they drop your health care? Your screwed. Plain and simple. 5 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @aussiebattler7789 mcdonalds and starbucks are 2 reasons never to visit let alone move to the US . We visited the US a few years ago and the best part was that it reinforced just how lucky we are to be living in Austyralia 13 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @howardallan7849 There are no children willing to give up their life for your right to have your guns. NOT ONE. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @RLMARMEN Actually right now with all that’s going on in the US I wouldnt move there. We are even greatly considering going to a different country for going on a cruise. It just seems to be a bit risky and also health care. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @noellemetzger1714 you already get the snowbirds / mild winters are nice there in the south/ and you can swim in a warm ocean and not freeze your body parts like here 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @larryradelet1503 have you ever herd the saying, nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.??????? ?????????? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @geoffreygushue2280 I always find it amusing that some Americans think they can move anywhere they want, start the paperwork...see how far you get. Why in the hell would I want to live in the states, well, the weather I guess... 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @norrisdemeray3325 I would consider if I won a 1.3 B Power Ball 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @cherylblancher5984 We are proud Canadians, ?? and have much respect for our southern neighbor! But still wouldn't move there! 14 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @andrewsweet5186 I did at some point but would not consider it now. Too violent, the cruelty of the Right Wing the utter stupidity of a country that voted in Trump. TRUMP! As President. They brag how they are a county of laws(like other countries don't have them) Yet can't get Trump into a courtroom to face a law he broke, just one of the many, many many laws he broke, pick one. Guantanamo Bay, the torture programme, the 20 years of endless destruction and death brought to Iraq and Afghanistan only to leave it worse off then when you started. The obnoxious chant of USA, USA at sporting events. I could go on, but I won't. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Joxman2k If I were in the Entertainment industry I would consider it, but as an average Canadian I have no desire to move to the US. I would love to visit and get to know the people but not live there. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @jackofallthings The school shooting thing is HUGE. From 2009 to 2018 the US had 288 school shootings. In the same time Canada has had only 2! Like you said any number of shootings in schools is unacceptable, but that number is just insane to us. That’s an average of 32 shootings PER YEAR and not even counting the number of deaths. 32 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @sarek2ca I think you should come up and visit in person and compare with the videos and comments. Love to be your tour guide! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @cindymckay4425 I find this video puzzling. I am considering moving to the US and know many other people who would jump at the opportunity. I think it depends on your political views. It seems like everyone that responded were left leaning and scared of everything. As a more libertarian I see things VERY differently. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @marckmartin3476 I would definitely move to Texas, Arizona or Florida without hesitation 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @martinrochejocquelein1772 I will not leave Canada ..my Canadian dollar is still worth a canadian dollar coast to coast 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @TheYukonnahanni Great Vid .. Truth in it, for the Most part.. But have Served with Many Americans, Side by Side, None Finer !! ( unfortunately Not Many Knowing our Geography or History !! ) But Some of The Best Serving along Side of & in our quiet moments a lot of Good Humoured Teasing !! Would Not Trade Them for Anyone Else !! 0 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @jeffpopple3049 Umm, sorry no. I hope my kids don’t want to move there as adults… 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @brendamckee7303 I really wanted to live in the US when I was little, I loved the very patriotic movies I watched which is what influenced me. And I think the anthem is very beautiful, but now that I am an adult no bloody way 18 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @j1234321hotmail After having watched a few seasons of a certain home improvement TV show that happens in the city of Laurel, Mississippi, I for myself would gladly move there IF I could have a decent job. However, my wife who doesn't speak english wouldn't leave her dear Québec. Only thing that might hold my 17 y.o. son is the fact that his girlfriend propably couldn't/wouldn't want to move too. My older son who'se 20 simply wouldn't care at all. Like me, he has friends (forum friends) allover the USA. Lol 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @andrewwalters4271 I worked in Maryland for a couple of months (stayed in Havre de Grace) and absolutely loved the Chesapeake Bay area. I could happily live in that area if I had some sort of health insurance. I'm saying this as a white male, though. If I was an ethnic minority, woman or LGBTQ my answer would be a firm 'no'. In any instance, the US would certainly not be my first choice; I would pick any western European country, Japan, NZ or Australia before the US simply because of the better, more progressive societal norms and much lower rate of deadly violence. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @armchair_mechanic Moved there for about 16 months and it just wasn't for us on so many fronts. We just really missed Canada so we returned. No problem getting health care or new jobs. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @deanbusch2727 I have relatives in Iowa and Texas,, so love those areas, spent time in military so traveled all over U.S. but things aren't the best here with divisiveness in Canada lately. Canada is very large and vast so things like western Canada having more in common with north western USA than they do with Ontario or Quebec. If I had a choice I wish I could have dual citizenship. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @_L_o_r_d_V_a_d_e_r I have fond memories of my time living state side 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @patricialittle2406 I had a choice to go to the US or the UK for work, I couldn't head east fast enough. I have been happy in the UK ever since. I have been to the US 3 times, different states and 2 were complete failures, I am too Canadian to be happy south of the border. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @margueriteperry9302 Actually, there are a number of racist, Qanon worshipping, gun loving, religious alt-right here in Canada to.... many have been elected off and on across Canada, and in fact, were funded by Trump's backers last year to invade Ottawa and protest mandatory masking (which was over long before they protested). One would think they'd love it there. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @nealjones2007 As a parent, it is a discussion my family has fairly often. School violence impacts kids all over the country and indirectly everywhere. My kids have anxiety about school because of it. And small towns? Like Uvalde? Or Parkland, which was voted as the safest town in FL before they killed a bunch of school kids. 43 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @tripinout21 I worked for a company(3.5years) that was relocating to North Carolina from Toronto. They offered to help find somewhere to live, help with immigration, and a cash incentive(i forget how much) to move and keep my job. This was 2002. I declined, and there has never been a day that I regretted my choice. 45 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @edwardsphilip How are you not sensitive to this ??!!….There have been 23 school shootings this year that resulted in injuries or deaths, according to an Education Week analysis. There have been 167 such shootings since 2018. There were 51 school shootings with injuries or deaths last year, the most in a single year since Education Week began tracking such incidents in 2018. There were 35 in 2021, 10 in 2020, and 24 each in 2019 and 2018. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @jenncrossfield5202 The general rule is that the only reason Canadians would move to the USA is if they marry and decide as a couple to live there or a job-either a transfer or an incredible deal of safety (silicon valley) has a lot of ex pats I think ? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @danacollins9973 US has had 23 school shootings in this year alone. Maybe you and your friends should think about it a little more often. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @debbie7505 With all these videos you do, how is it possible that you also have a job. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @ernestvenn8291 Would not move too the USA , I would lose my health care , Old age pension and to many gun nuts. 0 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @benjaminmatte5225 I’m a Canadian and not a snowball’s chance in hell would I move to the States lol 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @jeanettesutherland18 You really are desensitized ? How is that you’re not talking about all the mass shoots that take place EVERY SINGLE MONTH. Schools, shopping centres, nightclubs…I have 2 sisters who live in the states and we don’t talk about the politics. Sore topic. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @frankbelanger9501 I get better pay in US, more opportunities. I know there are places that are dangerous, but I am smart. But because I am a Canadian, I need not apply for a permit or green card. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @kirkdyck5797 How does the US compare to the Rest of the world? Be Honest. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @PJPerdue1293 In 2023 alone, mass shootings happened in Hampton, GA (pop. 8300), Munhall, PA (pop. 10,700), Bladensberg, MD (pop. 9600), Layhill, MD (pop. 9764), Wadesboro, NC (pop. 5000) and more. No, you can't strategically choose your city or town to avoid gun violence. And since 2018 there have been 167 school shootings in the US. That's 33 a year. Canadians just aren't desensitized to it. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @ArkLord001 As a Canadian. Not a snowball's chance in hell. There is nowhere in the USA that Canada doesn't already have. Oh wait, we have FREE healthcare for starters. I don't need to worried about being shot walking down the street in a major city or having my 1st of 4th amendment rights violated by organizations like the ATF or screwball cops who have no clue what the Constitutionally protected rights of your own citizens are (and coming from a Canadian, that alone speaks volumes).\n\nAlso, if your schools need metal detector checkpoints to enter the school, then why would any sane person send their kids to a place where they have to be searched to obtain their education safely?\n\nThe US gun culture makes what should be safe places, completely unsafe to begin with because you never know when that shy easy going person will snap and start shooting people. \n\n\nNope. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @sueparras6028 Not if you paid me 10 million dollars would I move to the United States! I love Canada ??! Born and raised here! ✌??❤? 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @carletonrutherford1799 As a Canadian, the feelings I get watching the what is happening in the US now, is the same feelings people get watching TLC shows. It makes us feel better about ourselves. We may not be perfect, and may have our flaws, but at least we aren't as bad as them. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @loantran-thanh7795 There are a lot of violence and killings and murders in western countries, more than before (outside of wars of course), but the US are certainly the unsafest, the most insecure and paranoid country of them all, and things have gotten worse in the last decade. That country is going backwards. It reminds me of the Muslim world in the Middle Ages, well advanced at all levels, at a time when the Occident spent their sweet time fighting each other to grab power, and also, after the numerous crusades and the Arabs were looking down at us, like minus habens. To such an extent that they decided to close off their world limits and have nothing to do with us. \na few centuries later, they reopened their countries borders, and they were in for a surprise: the rest of the world had evolved, modernised, and they were now lagging behind .\nThat’s what the current GOP and Trumpists want, but because they have no historical education , just a bunch of ignorants, they haven’t learned the valuable Arab lesson, although it is difficult nowadays to seal off the US borders.\nWho wants to live in a country moving backwards? 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @bhalliwell739 Love you Tyler wish all Americans were like you. 4 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @carletonrutherford1799 The American government is very powerful. A lot of Americans are afraid/wary of their government. As a Canadian, I am not afraid of my government. It isn't that powerful. That in itself makes me feel free. I lived in the states for a year or so when I was a kid. I went to school down there for a year. In that year I saw the patriotic indoctrination that happens at a very early age. Looking back on it as an adult I realized that it was just brainwashing. That is how the American government so easily controls such a large portion of the American people. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
