2 years, 11 months ago @brysn6112 As a Canadian, I wouldn’t even want to visit America, not any part of it. Mostly for the reasons in the video, but also the police, tsa, and border crossings agents. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Lakeshore14 The tragedy of mass shootings regularly taking place in schools, shopping malls, movie theatres, churches, etc etc is bad enough. But an equal tragedy is that the US Congress and senate cannot work together to pass common sense laws to stop it. Somehow they are able to limit women’s rights, but can’t change the insane gun laws. Very very sad.??? 3 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @davej.4989 Not a criticism, just an observation. Canadians mention school shootings a lot and you kind of blow it off. That to me is really sad because it has become so common place in America that most Americans don't even find it shocking anymore. Not saying that you are fine with it but rather, you become desensitized. 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @daveboyle307 That comment is bang on about the batshit crazy political religious racist fusion that seeps into daily life…..nailed it.\nI’ve got family and relatives in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, California, Florida Nevada. My second home was in Pinellas Park Florida.\nI’m living in Canada now , thank god , the situation in the USA at this time is a joke sorry to say 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @marlenehepner8759 I would consider living in the USA but I would lose many of my Canadian veterans benefits and services that I currently receive. My grandparents are from North Dakota. I could use that to get citizenship through derivation… but then there would be the requirement to file income taxes in both countries. Any tax free benefits I get as a Canadian vet, would loose their tax free status and become taxable if I claimed my citizenship… so I have decided not too. If these issues were not in play, I would consider moving to northern Minnesota or Montana or Vermont. Somewhere close to the Canadian border, close to family but in a better climate zone. I like growing my own food and a longer growing season with nicer forests would be awesome. The climate in Manitoba is not the greatest for growing a variety of trees… and the trees do not get very big. I love Orlando and spend about 6 weeks a year there… but I could not see myself living there full time. Sometimes I will drive the 3600 km south to Orlando and I get a really good view of the wealth disparity in the USA… So that alone, I am happier in Canada… knowing that there is a better safety net for us should a situation in life happen that would leave you broke and homeless in the USA 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @BarbaraC147 For the Canadians I know who would want to move to the US, the main reason is the climate. To move somewhere without snow and freezing cold.\n\nAnd nope to moving there as long as there is any chance of Trump getting elected again. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @CharlieDoubleWhiskey As a Canadian, I would consider moving to the US if I was already independently wealthy. The US is hands down the best place in the world to be rich. Canada is not perfect, but it's better for regular people. 3 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @stephaniec9539 I would say no as well 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @robynchayer3469 Lived in Arizona for 3 years, had it's up and it's downs. All in all I would go back though. If only for the cheap beer 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @lauriegunn9636 It's weird, I've never even thought of it before...hhmmm. I don't think I could afford to move there either. To visit, yeah, there are a lot of places down south I'd like to see. I'm kinda worried about the heat in some States though. lol 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Lexi-1234 I'm a surgeon in Canada, and even though there are more jobs and I could make potentially twice as much in the usa I would never move there. I would never be able to refuse someone surgery or bankrupt them because they had no insurance. I also don't like the 'cover your ass' style of medicine that most doctors in the USA have to practice because of how often lawsuits happen. 144 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @lorrainericardo8680 I lived in Fort launderdale for about a year ,, just loved it ,, Americans are ok ,,, even though we tease each other ,, but that's what brothers and sisters do , right ,, anyway ,, the US is ok ,, 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @MissMeganBeckett 8:46 my uncle did that, he does software stuff that I don’t understand, but he and my aunt moved back to Canada before my cousins were born. 3 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @jeffreyhendren5373 I did move to and live in Florida for a year and a half and it was the worst decision I ever made. It was awful and to say it was a culture shock is an understatement. I moved from Victoria BC to Fort Lauderdale Florida. I was yelled at for wearing a mask in the grocery stores, I was called a pedophile and a groomer for being gay, I was told repeatedly that Canada is a communist, socialist evil woke empire. When I finally moved back to Canada it was like a breath of fresh air and a relief. 652 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @user-sf9wc1zh9x I don't live in the US, but if you read parenting subreddits you will read a lot of threads about US parents who worry about their children's safety at school. 5 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @bluewater7211 I personally would in a second. \nI have lived in both countries and hands down it's better living down there. \nExperience living in multiple cities in multiple states.. and living in basically every major city and a lot of small towns in Canada.. I know 100% Canada is not as good as the states. \nAs a Canadian I can say Canada is not what people think it is... they think it's so much better here when they sy that because it's safer.. not better..not remotely.. we are so restricted here to do anything.. own land. .. grate now build something on it. Have fun. Years and thousands just to get a house approved.. the restrictions American people don't have make it that much better. \nFirearms.......... \nI've lived in so called bad areas in the states and honestly I've had way more nonsense happening in good areas in Canada. \nThe states have there downsides but overall way way better. \nMy next plan in Utah or Arizona.. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @jeanallan8106 Oh no, I don’t like it when Americans see stuff like this. One of Canadian’s less admirable qualities is that we can be a little smug when comparing ourselves to the US.\n\nTo cheer Tyler up there are some things I prefer about the states. Where I live in Vancouver we’re quite cliquish and don’t talk to strangers, but when I’m in the states I can make a new best friend in a subway ride.\n\nAmericans are also extremely charitable. If you look at the rates of charitable giving in the US vs Canada there is no comparison. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @donaldthompson8766 No...I love this place way too much,I know everyone thinks there Country is the best, I'm no exception. Iv been to a few others and I really believe Canada is hard to beat ! But..i would like to visit couple months a year..like January and February down in a secluded place in the Florida keys with a bottle of Crown Royal in one hand and bottle Jack Daniels in the other and big ass Rum fish bowl in my lap...lol....fuckin eh boy..!!! 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Hollywoodin2001b You are reading the views reflective of those in a particular forum. The last video I saw was about a person with appendicitis in Montreal who waited 15 hours at an ER and then booked a trip to Kingston for treatment. 10 days in intensive care followed. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @PraxisPeabody I am planning my first trip south next year. I have driven across Canada and seen our national parks.I'm hoping to drive from Vancouver to the grand canyon via Yellowstone, then back up the coast home. The redwood forrest shoyld be pretty. Cheers Tyler! 5 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @alangauthier8175 Im in Montreal and loved when you translated the French comment and then the aha moment when you knew you had cursed. ?\nI feel sorry that Canada is a better place to live for you. Come on up anytime, we will adopt you ;) 7 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @sw7833 Many Canadians have moved to the US but this Canadian say NFW!! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @drunner.6163 Why is the northern border not wide open like the southern border?\n When I retire I want to walk right into the states and live the rest of my life without ever seeing snow again... 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @katem2411 Love your videos, and I think you may be desensitized to a lot more than just the gun violence.\nThe US seems to be playing boil the frog with their people, and unfortunately, it appears to be working.\nI don't even like to visit the US. I can not imagine the circumstances that would have to be in play to get me to move there. I'd probably choose it over Russia, but it is far from the top or even the middle of my list. The guns, random violence, and the insane political/religious extremism that are the US norm are off-putting. \nMost of the Americans I've met have been lovely people, but their country is very nearly a no-go zone, and that saddens me. 5 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @noblingblinghockey1166 Nope for safety reason, USA way to violent for me, sorry 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @heatheryoung36 I am so thankful I was born in Canada. My daughter has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and all her treatments are free, some of the meds are free and others are signifantly reduced in price. I think America will get universal medical coverage at some point but those gun laws are nuts!!! Just two of the major reasons why I, along with most Canadians, really are anxious about visiting, nevermind moving, to the US. Sorry, don't mean to disparage your country but Canada is a better place to live on the whole. 7 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @krnstc School shootings are not limited to big cities in the US. Read the news - small towns & rural areas also suffer mass shootings in schools AND churches or places of worship. I think you are right in that you're too desensitized to it\n\nand P>S> America is not in anyway trying to do the same as Canada. The US is a Capitalist country - we have a capitalist component but we balance that with a social responsibility 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @CraigHallikainen The reason why school shootings are so shocking to Canadians is because in 2021 the USA had something like 93 school shootings and in Canada we've had 11 in the history of Canada as a country(that includes day cares primary school and highschool). So to us the fact that it is so common there and that the government hasn't done anything about it is just mind blowing.... 41 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @stevetournay6103 Sad, really. I well remember driving down SR 63 between Batavia and Geneseo NY back in the day, bound for the wonderful Geneseo airshow. Even pre-9/11 half the houses in the little towns along 63 had Old Glory on the porch or on a pole in the yard. I used to admire that. Now it would smack of neofascism. I haven't been to the US since a car club event in March 2011, and have no particular plans ever to return. I live about an hour from Buffalo... 6 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @The_TRUTH_or_Nothing Tyler... I like you. I really do. But MOST Americans that would want to move here, couldn't if they tried.\nIt's not that easy. Right now, you'd have a better chance being Mexican and willing to work in a restaurant or factory. \nAs far as moving to the USA, no way. NEVER! Not even if you pay me. Right now, only crazy alt-right Canadians and rural Prairies gun nuts want to move to the USA, more specifically Southern states like Florida and Texas. \nAlso, you were born there and all of the things that we find extreme in the US, you might just see as normal. Just like most of you think bagged milk or Ketchup chips are weird, when almost half of American women got plastic bags inserted INSIDE their milk producing organs, and you put ketchup on French fries, which are basically thick potato chips. \nEverything is relative. 1 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @Canadian_LoneWolf Never going to happen. I’ll live pretty much anywhere in the world except for USA and North Korea. Tyler you should try living in Canada for a month or two. See how you like it 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @debrataylor4806 I lived in ft Lauderdale Florida for 9 years my answer is never again. My friends child graduated from broward high-school and could barely read 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @SuperSPatrick Would never leave Canada to live in the US. Hell no. It's amazing here, especially in comparison. 10 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Dustyrosepetal Canadian here.\nVisit the USA, sure I have several times. I have met some lovely people and seen some beautiful things. My family is going to Flordia soon and we are really looking forward to it, even though we disagree with the governor and don't really want to support the state that supports him. \n\nMove there, HELL NO. Is Canada's politics perfect, no, but I honestly do feel like we have more say in our government and more choice.\n\n Over the last few the loss of woman's rights in the US is horrifying. I am not a breed mare I should have the choice if I want to have the child or not. \n\nLGBTQIA+ rights have also taken a nasty turn in the US.\n\nYou have had more mass shootings than days of the year this year, that's terrifying. We've had 2 this year and both of them have happened in the last month. I believe its been over a decade since out last school shooting. 4 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @sadp9013 With 10 millions in my bank acount maybe ? 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @musicalnomad8 I’m a duel citizen but I was born and raised in Canada and I would say I have more of a Canadian mindset. There are many things that I like about the States even though I wouldn’t move there. A lot of Canadians like to go shopping and for vacation. I hope to one day explore the North West coast of the States. I know there is a lot of awesome nature. This year however I plan on exploring more of Canada as I haven’t seen as much of my own home. \n\nTyler, I hope you will be able to come and visit Canada. It’s a hidden gem and the exchange rate is pretty good for Americans. I think that would be a really cool video. ? 35 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @dawnekay1567 Was Columbine not in Connecticut??? I would not even visit again. 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @sarahpettipher1759 Do you have any idea what is happening there. Laws are being made to take away human rights, I recently signed a petition that would allow lgbtqia+ community to come here as refugees. America is not a safe place 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @alex963candy hell no i woud not move to the US and Canada is not smaller .. we have a lot less population but w/ the way the planet warm up ... we should be it a good place soon \nbtw I live in norten quebec so dammm those pass fire ... GL BC 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @BuckSnortx you're on reddit, as a non mentally ill, terminaally online person, id move to the US in a heartbeat if I could afford it. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @Lakeshore14 No question there are many things thatAmericans can enjoy that are not available for Canadians. For one, the variety of consumer goods is more plentiful due to the size of your population. Our population is one tenth of the U.S. so the consumer market is much smaller. Having lived in the US for a dozen years, I missed so many things about Canada. Now living back here I appreciate our universal health care and the fact that everyone isn’t walking around with a weapon. Those were the two things that really bothered me about the US. I had a great job and worked with great people and we continue to be friends. And now the political climate in the US is teetering on absolute chaos. ???? 3 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @ASkepticsPerspective Sorry Tyler, but given the current social and political environment in the USA I do not want to visit the country and definitely never move there.\n\nThe challenge for me is the realization that Canada was built on community, while I see many (too many) Americans fiercely independent and not seemingly caring about anyone but themselves. \n\nCanada IS NOT PERFECT. We have gang violence, drug issues, racism, homelessness, poverty, inefficient political and bureaucratic system, but in general I feel that people will be more polite and helpful to each other than in the US. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @branthemuffin5872 I’ve visited the US plenty of times but I would leave it at that. I have no burning to desire to permanently reside anywhere in the US 2 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @erinpowell941 I'm afraid that with the gun craze down there, I would not consider it. Then, there is the lousy healthcare... And just when I think you guys aren't that bad off, I watch an episode of John Oliver's This Week Tonight, and a plethora of new reasons spring up. \n\nRight now in Canada, there is a Conservative Party that is starting to adopt the MAGA philosophy of consorting with white supremacism, fascism, misogyny and racist, and I cannot imagine moving to a place where this stuff is running rife. \n\nTyler, you are a lovely example of a decent American, and in truth, when visiting the States (which I haven't done for years), I met more people like you than like MAGA. However, my tolerance for stupid, hateful people is far lower since Trump was elected, and I swore I would not visit the US again until the WH, Congress and the Senate clean house of the Republican scourge. \n\nBut moving to the US would never be an option for me. I love Canada. I live in one of the most beautiful parts of Canada - Vancouver Island. I was born here and have visited many places in the world, but this is, and will forever be, home! 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @nathalieproulx1632 I lived in Phoenix AZ for 3 years and I miss the state and the travel opportunities close to it, the scenery was absolutely gorgeous, people were nice and friendly for most of them. I surely don't miss the violence associated to a big city like that and the heat in summer but I still miss AZ. I was feeling unsecured cause of the health care and the cost related to it since I was getting older. 10 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @sadp9013 I like my kids playing outside the house alone with the only danger being car 0 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @captainlone1333 As a French Canadian im aware of some discrimination about the funding of our community, School dont really get the money for new infrastructure. some of our building becoming more old and not really great to use i still like my place thought and i will never consider to move to the USA. Sorry for the American's that can be hurt by those words but i prefer the safety of my family and my community then having some huge racial, hate, gun, violence going in the US.\n\nYes Canada as flaw but still we can gladly say that we feel way more safe and more secure about our bills than anybody in the US. i got some medical condition that would totally have bankrupt my family and myself for decades if i was born in the USA.\n\nIf some American family or some couples that want a great life come to Canada we will gladly accept you as you are :) if you met some jerk in Canada im sorry for that.\n\nSo Tyler would you consider moving to Canada ? =D 0 O0gJtVar7_E
