Even before the actions taken by Canada, one should look at balance of Fentanyl illegal trade. \n
\nOn average 46 lb of Fentanyl were smuggled from Canada to US , which divided by the population of the US comes to a 0.049 mg of fentanyl per US Citizen
\nOn the other direction, 950 lb Fentanyl were smugeled from the from US to Canada, which when divided by the population of Canada, ends up being 10.88 mg of fentanyl per Canadian Citizen\nNow, scientists say 2 mg is a lethal dose.
\nJust think about it, trump's US could kill each Canadian 5 times over by Fentanyl. \nSo who is supposed to be pissed?
Uses statistical comparison of fentanyl smuggling between countries to argue about relative harm and economic/security impact, framed as a comparative analysis.

Canada has not been straight with the US. I am IBEW. I have work side-by-side with countless Canadians who are in the IBW. I have never worked side-by-side with the US IBEW worker who has ever worked in Canada. Also Canada has been subsidizing their lumber mills for years, not charging them for The timber so they have an unfair advantage. Let’s let Canada pay their fair share to protect themselves instead of depend on the US to protect them.
Combines personal work experience with economic grievances about subsidies and unfair trade advantages, arguing Canada should pay more for defense.

In a trade war, the one who can resist inflation and give in to pressure last wins. To know who wins, just look at the side with the bigger economy.

Remember, it's not just Canada that is responding to Trump. Mexico and China are also responding simultaneously to Trump's idiotic tariffs. Canada's Tariff applied to the United States will cause some price inflation, price increase, for a short time until the United states establish compaines to produce the same good and services that were tariffed. Once goods and service producted by the United States exceeds the Canadian goods and services that were tarriffed, the prices will come down. President Donald Trump did this to grow United States and Employment and cause price deflation over the long term. Hopefully Canada has the resources to do the same. I hope every body is blessed through Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
