I'm an Indian and Punjab is the worst state where all the drugs, criminals, illegal border crossings, rape, human traffickers and terrorism, gangs, gang violence connecting with khalistan are raised and they just have plenty of land plus black money which gives them power. Sad some of the states have totally put the whole country name to such a shame and have never evolved from such a mindset. I just pray Indians to represent their country abroad as a better citizen and respect their laws and culture.
Indian commenter shares personal perspective on regional problems in Punjab while appealing to moral responsibility for representing one's country abroad.

It's because Indian culture is pretty distant from the Western culture, even Asians, Africans, Arabs, Latinos could assimilate if they're educated and progressive enough but for Us it's pretty hard as we don't really have a common ground. Despite preaching 'World is one family' we aren't really inclusive. We like to be the frog of the well & those who does they usually act entitled or annoying. As a Bengali Indian that's what I observe after past 3 years of living in Dubai where Indian immigrants make 40% of it's population.
Draws on lived experience as an Indian immigrant in Dubai to make claims about cultural assimilation difficulties and Indian immigrant behavior.

If the dont leave voluntarily, then we need ice like moves, i have been living in canada for 25 years, when we applied to come here, we had to wait years where my country was in civil war. These ppl that are here as a student and temporary residents,, must understand the law and that there is a legal way to come and live here. If they force themselves to stay, then we need worse than ice for them to face.. with crimes, healthcare and employment rate down, its the best option
Combines lived experience (25 years in Canada, waiting during civil war) with policy critique and moral argument about legal immigration processes.

I grew up with lots of ukrainian and other immigrants, and on the whole, they are okay. Current ukrainian refugees are, I have noticed, a bit confused owing I think to the unfortunate circumstances which caused them to relocate. I suspect a lot will repatriate themselves when the war ends. I've encoutered many immigrants over the years and I have noticed, that in the last 20 years or so that a disturbing number of refugees are bogus exploitative jerks who wound up here because they weren't welcome where they came from because of their own character flws.
Extended first-person account of lived experience with immigrants over decades, comparing past and recent immigrant cohorts.
