The last generation of Sikhs were good. Worked hard. Assimilated into the Canadian culture. The new ones were a bum rush by Trudeau to keep the GDP numbers up while he robbed the country. I have Sikh friends who feel the same way. They feel like the new “students” and business subsidy abusers are ruining everything the old immigrants built. The new ones are ruining the reputation of the ones who have slowly integrated into the Canadian way of life. My Sikh friends are embarrassed by the actions of the wave of people coming in now… they even want them out
Distinguishes between 'good' assimilated immigrants and 'bad' new arrivals, frames newer immigrants as threats to Canadian identity and reputation, and critiques government policy for enabling this demographic shift.
