I grew up being told multiculturalism is our strength. Seeing it now as an adult, I can see all its done is created cities that have no actual Canadians, English or our culture. Raised crime, destroyed the housing market, lower the standard of living and quality of life. Let's be real, about this nation called Canada where real native canadians were "First Nations, Metis & Inuit" they were the ones as Indigenious people who inhabited canada for thousand of years ago & later demographic shift could later be seen during 16th century from European colonization where majority of french and british invaded with consistent colonization & took control of the land, these settlers, along with later European immigrants, seized indigenous land, displaced indigenous communities, and brought diseases that decimated native populations. Long story short now, based on 2021 census data shows native canadian population make up to only 5% of total Canadian population whereas the rest remaining are non-indigenous people of Canada at above 90% are foreign invaders from 16th century who came as an opportunist and occupied everything; same as Indian they came took the opportunity by working hard, contributing to the nation yet, you people here crying, complaining & bragging abt these & that abt Indian's bt let's not forget "Europeans" are the ones who did the dirtiest things characterized by forced assimilation, abusive residential school system, and loss of land. Please explain this from a liberal perspective, how was it fair for Indigenous people of Canada?? compared to Indian Standards.

The great peaceful Canada that I call Home is going down the drain. The government has done this to our people. Immigration on the rise. The Liberals are still bringing in new immigrants and supporting them. Our children can’t find jobs and if they do it takes months to get one. Why does the government house immigrants? Why are we the tax payers footing the bill. We as Canadians are stressed!! Why do we have to leave a country that we live in. The Government has let down their people.

Employers choose Indian students over local Canadian students bc they only have to pay them half as much. The other half of their wages are paid by us tax payers through a subsidy program. There's nothing wrong with good honest working people moving to a new country and living and working like the locals. But when you live OFF of the locals tax dollars or cheat the system, it is not going to be healthy for immigrants, Canadians or the economy.

Culture is a tricky thing. Is it not a known fact that one may not be all that interested in their culture and religion in their country of origin, but once immigrated to a different land, these same people become more attached to their original culture and religion, even more orthodox in their beliefs. They try to recreate what is familar. Why are we surprised most are not assimilating? It takes, for most, many generations. And even then. Immigrants will always, in one way or another affect change in the general culture. Think of different cuisine, the arts, influences on our beliefs, etc. What is a Canadian anyways? One who lives here? Who pays taxes here? How long of roots do you need to have before you are no longer called an immigrant? We have a very large country and from one community to another there is a difference in the culture. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what is in fact our highest Canadian values and communicate them more effectively. I would also like to add that there is suffering in not being able to pass on your culture. Watching your children and grandchildren speaking a different language, not having them understand yours enough for you to enjoy signing traditional songs to, not being able to guide them in your religious beliefs, etc., in the name of them becoming assimilated. I am experiencing these and my roots go back over 400 years on this land.
