Culture is a tricky thing. Is it not a known fact that one may not be all that interested in their culture and religion in their country of origin, but once immigrated to a different land, these same people become more attached to their original culture and religion, even more orthodox in their beliefs. They try to recreate what is familar. Why are we surprised most are not assimilating? It takes, for most, many generations. And even then. Immigrants will always, in one way or another affect change in the general culture. Think of different cuisine, the arts, influences on our beliefs, etc. What is a Canadian anyways? One who lives here? Who pays taxes here? How long of roots do you need to have before you are no longer called an immigrant? We have a very large country and from one community to another there is a difference in the culture. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what is in fact our highest Canadian values and communicate them more effectively. I would also like to add that there is suffering in not being able to pass on your culture. Watching your children and grandchildren speaking a different language, not having them understand yours enough for you to enjoy signing traditional songs to, not being able to guide them in your religious beliefs, etc., in the name of them becoming assimilated. I am experiencing these and my roots go back over 400 years on this land.

Way too many and jobs Canadians need are being taken. Homeless shelters at capacity . healthcare crashing. Canada already crashing financially and they continue to bring 3rd world into a country needing to breathe. I think the problem was answered. Most of these new folks dont consider themselves Canadian. And have absolutely no intention of intergrating into Canadian society. Period.

Well, as much as I don't like saying it, Canadians repeatedly voted for this. And still will not admit their own part in the problem. Denial makes no difference to facts. If open the front door, the back door the side door the pet entrance, the chimney, the gates and virtue signal "welcome" is it possible that those who have failed to make a nice home for themselves, see yours and rush into it to occupy it? And then being the failures at home-making that they provenly are (5000 years of proof - certainly, 80years of visible recorded evidence- since the Brits left them to do it on their own) turn yours into a squalid mess?

Some politicians needed new votes to stay in power, so they opened wide the doors, inviting them and giving them benefits (paid for by taxpayers) without giving a dam that Canada was already in a housing crisis, Canada HAS to turn the "NO VACANCY" light on and send a bunch back. And before any governments send $$$ care packages to another country, Canadians should be asked if yes or no and about how much, NOT the governments. They are there to work FOR us not us for them!

Indian households in Canada make more on average than native Canadians. To be absolutely clear.. this is not an Indian problem its a government problem. They let in anyone who could spell their name. But before that they let in extremely intelligent and hard working folks from India who are currently upholding this country's tech industry. I know this for a fact as I am in tech and have eyes.

Quebecer here who has lived all over the world. Never received or demanded help from any foreign country. Today's youth are very entitled. Give the important sector jobs to Canadians who are being bypassed. Immigration used to be fair and well vetted. Time to stop the woke / Lib rules

Liberals are using immigration to build up voters hence why the give these people better living conditions than Canadians, give businesses incentives to hire them over Canadian born and even give them better and faster healthcare while the tax payer dies waiting to get life threatening surgeries.

Religion has nothing to do with immigration, why missing up all this ...let focus on Immigration politics and fixing what broken instead of pointing fingers. everyone is taking opportunities as majorities of Canadians other otherwise white, African, India or Asian we are all immigrant except native people. so let fix the issue we are having with immigration and government politics and irresponsibility's ... government must focus on peoples instead of group of peoples interest

As a Canadian I think immigration is a good thing, but the liberal government has completely broken that system. The people coming here do not assimilate into Canadian culture and they do not respect this country. This isn't the Canada I grew up in and it's not the Canada that I want to keep living in. People irrespective of their ethnic background are Canadian if they are Canadian national. However, if those Canadian nationals are livid with migration control because it disfavours their ethnic kins from homeland, then they are prioritising ethnicity over nationality which already an integral threat to Canada.
