I’m grew up in Brampton, born here to immigrant parents who came in the 90s. The new generation of immigrants have really created a bad image for Indians here, I will encounter all kinds of racism online or in real life, and the hatred is real. I wish it wasn’t so, but Brampton and for that matter the GTA is not equipped to handle these many people. Then you get the sheer number of illegal rooming houses, fraud, general disrespect for the norms and traditions of Canada from the newer generations of immigrants it just really paints a bad picture of Indian people. I hope things can change and both Indians and Canadians can live together and foster mutual respect for each other, but we are a long ways away

i live in bolton, have for 35 years .im pretty much next to brampton, which was always very indian, and that was fine. but its drastically changed in the past 10 years for the very very worst. were still sort of ok in bolton right now but it's happening fast. edit: brampton used to be full of indians that wanted to be canadian, now its just disrespectful ones that want brampton to be india

I would feel the same if it was any race , including white people. There should be diversity it should just be equal. They let way to many people into canada way to easy

As an Indian, you Indians in parilament will have to add more diversity to school circulums. If you don't want to assimilate with white people, then fine but you'll at least have to advocate for indigenous languages to be pushed into Canadian schools.

I actually worked at Tim Hortons(I'm a white guy), and there were literally so many Indians that they'd order each other around in Hindi. They'd only speak English to me and the customers. I had a shift coordinator in fact who would reflexively give me orders in Hindi, and would get a little ticked off and repeat it in Hindi, and then when it clicked that I'm the only non-Hindi speaker there, he'd give 1 word orders like "Garbage" or "Sinks". The owner of the Tim Hortons also said that if I was a little slow or needed extra training, they wouldn't fire me because they don't like to keep rotating workers around, and instead would rather just retrain them. I was a tad bit slow(only because I was precise and not violating health and safety standards), and they fired me in like 10 seconds. Like my second monthly review, I was fired. I have a feeling it largely had to do with the fact that I was not Indian and didn't speak Hindi, so therefore the shift coordinators had less tolerance for me.

Even the Indians are like “too many Indians”

They call themselves PUNJABI and not Indians, then why are you dragging Indians in this. Canadian government allowed them, so PUNJABI SIKHS are your issue and not India's, they're a very small minority in india and they don't even represent Indians.

But is at fualt for this, is the level in which the people coming sometimes do know the fruad going on through the government and seem to tihnk they are entitled. But not their fualt at the end of the day.. And the only thing I would be angry about is, one if I was already living there and there wasnt some vote to let it happen. And in that case, if there was, then its really on the community for not saying no. But no, the trouble is when we hear and they pay no taxes, but this 3 times disabled dude whos worked 20 years already and paid, doesnt get any help. This is a great mini doc that takes time to hear out all sides. It's interesting how white immigrants see themselves on a higher tier, the Polish guy was saying Indian immigrants all get hotels- totally untrue! If you compare how the anti-immigrant ppl are speaking vs the immigrants you can see which side the hatred is coming from. I like when the Sikh temple leader tells him we see eachother as the same, we are all human- this strongly counters the thoughts ppl have on Indians clinging to their own. Ofc not all think like him

Once an Indian gets to the top they will only hire other Indians to top positions.
