Canada situation is not immigrant’s fault, this is government fault. Someone from a third world nation, will always try to find better opportunities in a different country and this is valid. The issue is that Canadian Government needs to be strong enough and make revision to its immigration system; many people works years and years with no proper documentation, no declaring taxes because they are being paid in cash…not even speaking a basic English, however they have a life in Canada. It’s their fault? No, they just take advantage of a weak system. Is government fault? Sure.

I came to Canada as a Landed Immigrant 50 years ago. I have made a good life, raised children, always had a job. I feel as Canadian as anybody who was born here. I resent those newcomers who only exploit the services they never paid for and trample our decency and tolerance. I grieve for our values being undermined and overridden by mindsets that will never adapt.

In my 42 years of working a service job I encountered thousands of immigrants.....I always found the East Indian people to be the easiest to get along with......there are good and bad apples in every culture but in general I found them always willing to help , talk and laugh with me.......many of them joked how they could out cheap anyone......and you've got to give them credit for finding the loop holes to get ahead

My girlfriend lives in Brampton, it’s a really nice city and I’ve always felt welcome there as a white guy dating a Punjabi woman. Theres a lot of cities like this surrounding the GTA, Richmond Hill with Iranians, Markham with Chinese, Etobicoke with Ukrainians. Brampton has Punjabis. Brampton is probably the most successful out of all of them, prosperous, growing rapidly and it has a low crime rate.

As Canadians we must mobilize . our enemy has many faces, the 1st face of our enemy is known as democracy especially our democracy in Canada, if we remove the people in power we can then fight our 2nd enemy called law enforcement then those of us who are lucky to still be alive can then fight the 3rd face called immigration. This isnt easy and many of us will die but we must do things for the greater good and this war will be long. As European descendants we must always remember the fact that our forefathers never left home soil voluntarily they were kicked out and sent here as so called criminals. They built the country to what it was up until the 1980s then the soft Canadians who only survived thanks to the strong and brave decided wokeness needed to happen and thus here we are today

Mark my words, many will stay illegally, and the Liberals will create a program so they can normalize their statuses, and give them permanent residency. Then they'll be voting in Canadian elections when they become Canadian citizens, they is how they take our country from us. This was always their plan.

This is Trump's fault and our Liberal government is doing their best to fix this mess. Do not worry, everything will be ok. Elbows up everyone, work hard and always trust the liberal government. They will solve this problem. All should boycott the USA! Do not buy their products, cars, etc. Do not go there! There industry and healthcare will collapse soon. Culture is a tricky thing. Is it not a known fact that one may not be all that interested in their culture and religion in their country of origin, but once immigrated to a different land, these same people become more attached to their original culture and religion, even more orthodox in their beliefs. They try to recreate what is familar. Why are we surprised most are not assimilating? It takes, for most, many generations. And even then. Immigrants will always, in one way or another affect change in the general culture. Think of different cuisine, the arts, influences on our beliefs, etc. What is a Canadian anyways? One who lives here? Who pays taxes here? How long of roots do you need to have before you are no longer called an immigrant? We have a very large country and from one community to another there is a difference in the culture. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what is in fact our highest Canadian values and communicate them more effectively. I would also like to add that there is suffering in not being able to pass on your culture. Watching your children and grandchildren speaking a different language, not having them understand yours enough for you to enjoy signing traditional songs to, not being able to guide them in your religious beliefs, etc., in the name of them becoming assimilated. I am experiencing these and my roots go back over 400 years on this land.

Voluntary compliance always works well with criminals. They never break the law only law abiding citizens do that.

As an immigrant like myself, I came to study in Canada. I came to learn Canadian culture which has always been polite, humble, and friendly. Nowadays I am seeing things have changed compare with 22 years ago when I came here. I learned true Canadian cultures from my host family and my Canadian friends. Honestly, there are some immigrants who are coming to Canada who are not trying to learn and even tried to integrate into the culture. You don't come to someone's home and destroy it. You want to make yourself welcomed in Canada. Canada is an amazing country please don't destroy it. I worked hard to stay in Canada and I love this country. I also pay my taxes for some people to get their free stuffs when they entered into Canada, what is going on? Love Canada and let's us united again. ❤❤❤❤❤

The problem with Brampton is multiculturalism ended. Multiculturalism was always a point of pride for Toronto and all the cities around it. Brampton is the total opposite of multiculturalism.

IMO the big thing is that more housing and infrastructure need to be built to keep pace with people in an area - as housing standards are being violated - like 8 people living in an apartment is just extreme even for student housing. The crime rate dropped off massively we need to be careful about it increasing however more people equals more crime but equal or lower per capita crime rate. Poverty is always going to be poverty. The poverty issue is made worse because chornically unemployed pepole have seen their supports not keep up with inflation to the point its basically impossible to get housing on social safety net payments. This means that unemployed people basically end up homeless now. 7 m² per person for rooms with four or more occupants aged 18 or older. People should not just be packed into buildings that violate legal space and housing standards. The whole community IS government not a religious organization. This really frustrates me because the government should be insuring those standards are met not privatization of humanitarianism. Government should be humanitarian.
