I agree with the comments of the immigrant contributors. You come here for a better life, that’s why you left your country. Now that you’re here, you refuse to integrate with this country’s rules and way of life. You bring your religion with you and that fine BUT, practice it in your places of worship and not force it down our throats. Further, don’t try to change our culture by crying foul every time you don’t get your way. The politicians have to change their corrupt ways of cater for a vote and uphold the values, rules and laws of this country…..unfortunately it may be too late. The media is fueling the immigrant hate by not addressing some facts. Facts like these jobs that they want now were looked down upon by the residents as being beneath them. The immigrants took those jobs at minimum wage, dirty menial jobs that you did not want. Now that the job market is almost non-existent, you’re complaining about no jobs. The jobs would have been yours if you didn’t think it was beneath you when it was available. The term that fits is “ snooze, you lose “.

I'm done being quiet too. Im not racist, I dont hate people because their skin color isnt white like mine, Im happy to have immigrants here if they are willing to integrate like the previous generations have. We arent having kids because unlike other countries, we want to put kids first, and its irresponsible to have children when our economy is unaffordable to have them. I dont have any of that so called "white privilege" i always hear about. I grew up where I couldnt shower for days at a time, went to bed and school hungry. I'm exhausted from being labeled a terrible person when I condemn racists and the past actions, but its never good enough because im white. We have culture, Canada has culture. You just dont hear us talk about it cuz we get labeled racist for talking about it. We need to stand shoulder to shoulder if we want change in this country. I dont get why here its acceptable to come illegally, leech our resources without contributing to society and disrespect us, yet if we were to do the same its disrespectful. Well it is disrspectful. I wouldnt move to a country without learning the language, at least enough to get by, learning their culture, their values, their way of life, and ASSIMILATE like everyone has done before. Having Justin Trudeau occupy the Top Job in Canada as PM was a mistake. Making him PM given his limited intellectual abilities didn't do Canada any favors really. His woke ideals simply aren't based in the realities in thinking that we'll all just get along. The past immigration policies filtered out those that weren't acceptable or weren't bringing anything worthwhile to Canada. What Trudeau did was allow third world countries to unload their undesirable citizens into Canada, ppl that have no idea of what it means to come to a new land and integrate and be a part of something good. Trudeau did not think this through at all.

Well one thing- people who go to another country to start a new life must respect and integrate in their culture. And if they don’t send them back. Also mostly Punjabis and hindu atleast no Muslims otherwise they will try to convert Brampton into Brampistan😂

How about letting immigrants coming into the country that if they commit a crime they will be deported and be banned for 10 years. That would be a great deterrent to those that don't want to properly integrate into our society.

Indians are people who you can trust and respect, Hindus and Sikhs especially. It’s not a problem when these communities integrate perfectly within Canada or the US. Human trafficking operations are conducted by a small minority who are paid to often be anti their own country of origin. Remember all the white people are actually European immigrants into the Americas, this is just an example of continuous migration of humans, some of whom conducted bad businesses, even in the beginning of the colonisation of the Americas. You call yourself the originals, but you are just immigrants as well. The Native Americans and Inuits were the originals. And yet you have nearly wiped them out. The United States of America is standing on the dead bodies of the natives! The hypocrisy when they call out new immigrants entering America and Canada!

My town of 50K is going through this now. Any business you do will 80-90% be with people from India. They are buying businesses. No more jobs or housing, no integration, health care suffering and they don't put their money into this country.

Stop complaining about minorities and start confronting your own government that's actually ruining your country! Where's your journalistic integrity?

It's nothing against a certain group, these problems occur if you let in too many people from one place, it's called ghettoization. If too many Canadians moved to India, for example, they would form communities large enough that they don't really integrate. Immigration is fine, as Canadians it's always been our strength, but the jobs aren't keeping up. If the jobs become there, we need to mix up the countries, we can't have more Indians.

It’s not about votes. It’s to water down / destroy Christian morality. You can’t easily control an educated, moral people with integrity. You can enslave people who are uneducated, have a culture of immorality, and that feel their pay check and freedom come from the government. Education in this context is the workings and history of this country.

I’m 49 years old and grew up in the UK. I was always proud of our multiculturalism growing up about 1/5 of the classrooms were of another country/race. Everyone loved the immigrants they came in worked hard and didn’t cause trouble, most importantly they intergrated. But something changed with this new wave of immigration. They don’t integrate, they don’t work, they want to cha ge the country and religion. They don’t seem to even like Brit’s 😂. It’s a sad situation. Govt has clearly done this on purpose so the natives have to fight for scraps by bringing in desperate people

Indians bring India with them. That's not integration. Adapt to the country you move to or don't move.

I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

It’s really disappointing to see some immigrants not making any effort to adapt to this beautiful country, but instead trying to recreate everything exactly as it was back home. I’m an immigrant healthcare professional myself, and I visit many nursing and retirement homes. It feels extremely disrespectful when immigrant workers speak only in their own languages even when others around them don’t understand. Just a few days ago, I was in a park and witnessed someone spitting red tobacco all over a tree trunk. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable in Canada. We came here for better opportunities and a better life, so it should be our responsibility to respect the culture and the public spaces here. I genuinely believe the government needs to be stricter about who they allow in. Canada doesn’t need people who refuse to integrate or who create a nuisance in public. Diversity is about sharing and respecting each other, not about ignoring Canadian values or lowering public standards. If someone is not willing to respect this country and its culture, then maybe Canada is not the place for them.

The truth is, the very characteristic that made Canada so loved internationally is being used against us. A country should under NO CIRCUMSTANCE CHANGE THEIR WAYS/CULTURE TO MAKE ANY IMMIGRANT/MIGRANT/ASYLUM SEEKER MORE "COMFORTABLE". Sad to say this but Canada is too "kind" and too liberal for it's own good. They essentially would have a rabid animal gnawing at their leg but would not try to stop it because the animal maybe "scared" or "hungry" or don't want to hurt it's feeling or something. If Canadians do no protect it's values and culture by restricting and massively reducing integration and not hesitating to deport criminal immigrants, the very soul and identity of this beautiful country will be gone FOREVER (some would already say that already happened)!! That's why I respect Poland so much, they said NO to mass migration by way of asylum seekers, regardless of the backlash from the EU, but that's why unlike those other countries that did the mass migration, Poland remains one of if not the safest European country and best of all, KEPT THEIR IDENTITY!!!

WOW, I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREED WITH MOST OF THE COMMENTS HERE. My parents immigrated here nearly 40 years ago and married to a Canadian. HONESTLY, this IS NOT THE CANADIAN LIFE that I ONCE knew. To those whose visas are expiring, PLEASE either go home to your home country; or, if you CHOOSE to REMAIN here in Canada, PLEASE RESPECT CANADIAN CULTURE!!! I am an immigrant myself, I have integrated myself to the Canadian culture whilst at the same time, I still practice my own culture at home and at my home country!!!

There was a group of middle eastern men at a local gas station a few years ago, and they were getting loud and rude with one of the locals (smaller town,) They weren't long finding somewhere else to be when the local guy made a call and twenty plus guys showed up and advised these men that they were outnumbered and might want to remember that in the future, As they were leaving one of them said, you'll find out when we are the majority in this country. They don't want integration, they want to conquer the country and bring in sharia law and their religion based government.

Indeed, we immigrants must integrate not change the hosting country ! And Canada belonged to Native American Indians !

My family immigrated here in 2011. We cannot erase the past, but we can acknowledge it and learn to live with respect. But to the wave of immigrants who came after 2017—listen carefully: you are ruining the very country you ran to for safety and opportunity. Too many of you are uncivilized. You don’t respect others. You lie, you cheat, you act without humility or integrity, you always go for short cut, you stink. You take advantage of a system you never helped build, and you give nothing back in return. This country was built on respect, honesty hard work, and accountability—values you seem to ignore. If you cannot live by those principles, then you don’t belong here. Canada is not here to lower itself to your standards. Either rise up, learn the values that make this country strong, or stop pretending you deserve the opportunities that others fought for. Immigrants aren't the problem. The problem is when they don't integrate or adopt local customs, when they form ghettos. That's not immigration, it's invasion. If you choose to live in another nation, out of respect and gratitude to the nation that welcomed you, you must integrate, be part of, assimilate—without losing your roots, of course, but adapting. I am from a country of immigrants (Argentina). My ancestors were Spanish (Galician/Catalan), Italian, German-Jewish, and Polish, and they all assimilated, adopting Spanish-language and Argentine customs without losing their roots.

I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. If these were French people like my heritage is, I would be even more pissed because I could say something without being called a racist. These immigrants are coming here with one goal retribution against the English Empire for the past or some shit, I dont know, and they're taking it out on us Canadians. over 5 years I've collected proof so I feel very safe coming out now and talking about this because I have everything to back it up. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... I'm a concrete worker they do not let these walls set properly, they don't seal the windows and doors properly, everything's going to leak but because they only rent to people from their home country after 3 years they can take their name off the property and nobody and I mean nobody is going to report leaks because they have a tyrannical control over who they rent to.... I dont even need to name the group because its OBVIOUS, living in the same city most ky life I've seen a drastic change, and this isnt intregation like my family did as they we're the members of french part of the metis tribe long ago. 5 years in a row they have added an average of 70,000 people legally to the city I live in I live in of 1.4 million people that is absolutely absurd the train system is packed all the way until 1:00 a.m.... it's just simple economics you can't add that many people and have a sustainable City.... these idiots never played sim city or some shit Also there are millions that came pretending to get spots in our universities and didn't show up, and these are the same people that are buying up all the businesses and houses and only letting the people from their own country be involved that is not integration....... There's also a huge problem with people faking Refugee status from this very place and there's even a few videos circulating online on just how to do it people from this country bragging how their making double of the average income of a Canadian a year PLUS free food and board from this fake Refugee status, HOLY FUCK! We are radicalizing here in Alberta and it's about to get real. Not only do these immigrants only want their own people involved in anything they are rude as hell when confronted about any of this even in a kind way.  There's a great deal of them that are at the top of the fenthinal distribution. mind you a lot of that's being shipped from other places but the distribution hails differently....roughly 70% of the major fenthinal arrests and seizures have those paticular heritage backgrounds to prove it. For nearly 20 years, Conservatives have been warning Canadians about the challenges we are now facing but every time, they were dismissed and branded as “racist” for simply pointing out the obvious. Meanwhile, grassroots Canadians along with immigrants who came here in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s had one goal in mind to work hard, build a better life, and help "make Canada a stronger and more prosperous country". Their efforts over the last 60 years are clear in the Canada we inherited. In contrast, the Liberal and NDP approach has been to ignore these warnings and push policies that are eroding the very foundations of what made this country thrive. Instead of focusing on integration, responsibility, and opportunity, they are enabling divisions and importing problems rather than solutions. So, to the commenters who keep voting Liberal and NDP: thank you because you are ensuring this decline will continue.

Some immigrants pretend to be more loyal than the King, which is dangerous to the country. However, the immigrants who are honest and celebrate their culture without causing problems for the locals are better for the country. How many Westerners living in Africa integrated with local Africans even after living there for centuries? It is human mentality to practice your culture when you become a minority in another country.
