I feel for that lady,I'm a home owner, but not for long, I lost my job due to a back injury, I went back to school for DZ and heavy equipment tickets, graduated 7 months ago and unable to find work, I spent all my savings, in 3 years. I saved $75,000 over my 40 years, just to lose it all to the economy we live in today. I eat once every other day. I will be homeless by winter. And I see all the immigrants wearing Gucci, driving nice cars, living the life Canadians deserve. I'm ready to burn this government to the ground. I'm about to lose everything and there's nothing I can do to save my life.

It sickens me to see how much our dysfunctional government gives the new immigrants more money to live on then what they give CANADIAN SENIORS. We seniors have worked in Canada our whole lives. Seniors are having to decide which bill to pay or miss the bill and buy food. I went to work at the age of 12. I had two paper routes to do before going to school which was a total of 7.00 a week. I also worked in a greenhouse after school and weekends for 50 cents an hour. Now being disabled I am not able to work even a part time job or even find a part time job. I have been looking for a part time job. I have sent out 250 resumes just last month and did not even get a rejection reply. My specialists asked me if I realized the harm I am doing to myself. What other choice do I have? The Liberal government have broken Canada.

I was born here in Canada in 1969 and since Justin Trudeau took over as our government, everything just went downhill. I also very upset with our government bringing in millions of Immigrants and giving large handouts of of our Canadian tax dollars to support the new immigrants that our coming into Canada. You are right! Most immigrants who comes to Canada with the intension of changing the culture, religion, and tradition are the one causing all this problems. They monopolize the job market because they create network between their own community. Because of this, the job opportunities are limited for this communities. As for the religious immigrants, they have to stay in their country if they need a muslim nation, because nobody wants it here. This is the weakness of the Government of Canda. The Government must do something to solve this problem and deport this kind of immigrants.

I am a born and raised Canadian. I have 3 boys that are 30, 25, 21, my 30 yr old recently went blind and is dealing with that in another province. My other 2 live at home with me, because none of us can afford to live on our own as we rent, and they can't find work anywhere. The government needs to fix the problems they have before bringing in new people. If your own people can't survive, why the hell are you bringing in more people. Up goes the crime rate, up goes homelessness. The worst part is most homeless people are born and bred Canadians, while the immigrants get jobs and housing pretty much handed to them. I don't think the prime minister should have been able to make the decision to bring more and more immigrants here with out asking the people.

It's time the government started deporting these kinds of people... They opened the doors to Canada for them—well, they didn't really open them, they forced their way in. And all they've done is undervalue the work, doing shoddy jobs and charging low wages. They ruin the good work done by others and pay them poorly. They're opportunists. There aren't enough jobs for citizens. They take all the jobs, and companies pay less. The government should be paying attention to that. I'll lay it out for you: Me: typical middle of the road liberal oriented Canadian. Non white, immigrant (I wasnt born here) I worked in a Refugee housing for over 4 years in Ontario. Most were not war areas refugees (Yes I know there are other types of refugees). I only encountered few refugees from war areas. ONLY 1 person from Iraq, about 2 families were from Afghanistan, 1 couple from Pakistan(I doubt they were real refugees they spoke fluent English, maybe political refugee), and a most from African countries. Its too far for real refugees to get here. Its Easier for them to go to other countries nearby or Europe. MOST SEEM TO BE ECONOMIC REFUGEES. Most were coming from Africa. Some are coming from Latin America, which shouldn't be happening. Once they showed up at our doorstep and we processed them into the system, they were immediately in the same class as a Canadian resident homeless person if they were making a refugee claim. We get money to house and feed them (from the government), and they are given a stipend for basics from the government processed through the Social Assistance/ Welfare system (they get less than a resident/citizen I think.). They then have to get their case processed by the refugee board, and most seem to get in. I've only heard of few getting sent back. One person I know at our facility, was given a subsided social housing apartment after a year in our facility. So they went straight from a shelter to a government/city owned subsidized apartment. (Didn't seem like it was a issue for the housing worker...they didn't report it (if they were not the ones that helped the person to get it), they were white, the housed person was Latin. This refugee claimant, and then month or two new Canadian resident person was given an apartment in a prime area of the city, instead of the 1000's of Canadians, those who came before them, and born Canadian citizens on an extremely long waiting list. How this was allowed to happen I don't know. The person was probably sucking on someone's straw. I'm just trying to think the barriers these people have to go through to get a job here. We are far removed from the time of the 80's and 90's., and housing and jobs are so hard to get. I am shocked to hear this from a CBC reporter saying IMMIGRANTS get money from the government!! Where on earth did you get this ,outrageous information!! People who apply to come to Canada as legal immigrants , have to go through a strict points system.that can take years . Plus medical and security checks. They have to speak English or French , be educated and most of all have a skill ,trade or profession that Canada needs!as Canada does not have enough highly skilled workers. Like IT professionals, doctors ,engineers, nurses etc. They have to have a job offer .etc etc .They have to have the means to support themselves and their family . Secondly when talking about refugees the ones who come across the border with no documentation, come on their own and do not fall in the 3 categories you mention? How outrageous are you to say the ones coming in illegally across the border are 1 privately sponsored, 2 government sponsored 3 or mix of both! Our local governments literally tell you to your face and they wanna replace you and I’m not even talking about just white people. You know, I am an immigrant myself but I have always have had a beef how other immigrants act all entitled. Immigrating is like going to live in another people's house, you have to respect the rules of that house. I hate people trying to change the rules to their convenience. I know a lot of immigrants just living off the system, I work 2 jobs and the day I was laid off I refused to collect EI out of self respect, why because I knew I could find another job. But many is like they are looking forward to get laid off or fired to collect government benefits. I couldn't believe that the police and military actually modified their customs to allow Indians to wear turbant. I applaud the people that requested in Ontario to do not wear any religious stuff, because people is only Canadian when is convenient, when not they are Muslims, Indians, etc. that's total BS you are Canadian? act like one, be one all the time; if not go back wherever you came from don't bring more problems to a place that already has more than enough
