I lived in downtown Brampton from 1997 to 2011 and I loved it and I worked my ass off at a steel plant in Mississauga. Don’t give me wrong. Where the hell is Brampton Ontario? I don’t even recognize it!!! And it’s a place that I loved and lived. But where are the Canadians? I don’t care where people come from. My cousin was adopted from India and she was the sweetest person you would ever meet. What once was a smaller Canadian city has now been taken over and become India. You don’t take over a beautiful Canadian city and make it your own from where you came from - you respect what it was before you came.

As a tax payer and as a traveller I buy my own travel insurance when travelling out of Canada!! Other than what I am covered by Alberta Health Care-I pay my own dental, vision, chiropractic, massage, MRI I have to wait months or pay for speed myself, I pay for my own Prescriptions!! I am 64 years old and have been paying income tax for 46 years I don’t get squat from the government!! It burns my butt that refugees come and get put up in a hotel, fed and are given thousands of dollars per year on my hard earned money!! That said, there have been far too many immigrants in the last decade, regardless of origin. I've lived in my small town in BC for 37 years and somehow I cannot get a family doctor (I visit all of the local clinics annually and am on the provincial waiting list) while a lot of newer residents seem to have a doctor within months of moving here. I am glad I bought my house when I did, I would not be able to afford one today. I am not against legal immigration, just slow it down so the infrastructure can support it and properly vet those who apply. The system for deportment currently employed in the US is far too hastened and imperfect for my liking but the lack-of-a-system (or heck, acknowledgement) that this is even an issue by the current and previous Canadian governments is equally as concerning (arguably more, other folks can debate the politics of it).
