I lived in Surrey BC for 7 years, it's filthy, and almost completely Punjabi/Indian population. It's horrible, I had to leave because it got so unbearable.

I used to drive to brampton many years ago but now it is brutal. I refuse to live there anymore. It's looking LIKE Bangladesh dirty and filthy. I call it bramladish. It was onse a nice place. The drivers are brutal too, no respect for the roads.

I asked him if he was cooking in bare feet and he lied saying OHHH no maam and then he lifted his foot. I looked at my friend and said this is grose and im going to McDonalds. I wouldn't like immigration to my country too and seing my way of life change...but we should give credit to the Sikhs who feed people free of charge...i experienced their generosity way back in 2005 in London when my friend took me along to a gurdwara,my first time . They don't ask any questions, they just feed and you will see people volunteering their services at preparing the food and someone else serving you...at least, they give back to society unlike some of the filthy rich who just want to hoard more and give nothing back . People don't realize that the world revolves on kind people and their generosity. If everyone was greedy, there would be nothing else to hoard and you can't even take it with you when your life ends. I grew up in Brampton. When I was going it was really multicultural, I lived in a Portuguese neighborhood. There were many different ethnic neighborhoods, it was a melting pot of cultures. I had friends of all races and I got to learn about their cultures. It would have been the perfect place to raise kids.It's not multicultural anymore it's just Indians, it's filthy there, crime has skyrocketed and housing prices is insane. You also can't rent apartments as all the landlords will only take Indian tenants under the guise of "vegetarians only". It's a shame, it used to be a great place to live.

I feel very sad because, in the end, all immigrants end up paying the price for the bad attitudes of a few. I speak especially from the perspective of Latin American immigrants: we are not the majority in Canada, but we come with the intention of adapting, of including ourselves in the local culture, and of contributing the best we can. Our culture is not so distant — we share religion, family values, and lifestyle — and we arrive with the willingness to integrate, not to impose. Even so, for us the path is extremely difficult: getting permanent residency and, eventually, citizenship is a long, expensive, and complicated process. And we do it, we comply with the rules, we respect, we pay everything. What hurts is seeing that some other groups arrive with a different attitude: instead of integrating, they want to impose their culture, their religion, even their body odors, and if you make a face or express discomfort, they immediately take it as “discrimination.” It is not fair that, for example, my child should stop bringing meat in his lunch just because another child bullies him saying he is “a filthy sinner.” Inclusion should be mutual, an effort on both sides, not a one-sided demand.
