I’m Punjabi, Indian and my parents came in the 1970s assimilated, and became hard working people and earned a name and reputation! You should check out Burnside Gorge in Victoria BC. Between the City of Victoria's entire stock of Homeless shelters (in this one neighbourhood) and the city's entire stock of Sikh temples, Punjabi restaurants and East Indian clothing and grocery stores, it is a total sh*tpit - where people can't sleep at night because the Sikh punks are racing their cars up and down Burnside all night.
