As someone who's born and raised in Brampton I don't really see any issues when it comes to the large Indian demographic in the city. Majority of the people in this city are just middle class families trying to get by and provide their kids and families a bright future. Without the indian immigrants coming to this city what would it even be? You have families living in million dollar+ houses, working, owning business, giving good futures and opportunities for their children but y'all mad cause they are Indians who are doing this. If they were white people instead would be calling Brampton a success story then? If 75 percent of the population is south asian, OF COURSE you will see south asian workers, south asian restaurants, grocery stores (JUST LIKE ANY OTHER COMMUNITY). You only see this issue online because the people who actually live in these areas have absolutely no issue with the city. They're mad they can't progress in their own lives and use cities like Brampton as a scapegoat for their own problems. It just doesn't make sense to me how so many people have an issue with Brampton when they don't even know what it is like.

Wondering if native peoples were saying that when they became minorities and white people became the majority.

And for some reason this is happening only in white majority countries by their own governments.

I'm white and obviously it's not all Indians, but the only demographic I've experienced racism and prejudice from are Indians. I try to remember to keep an open mind as generalizing is wrong, but it's getting harder and harder especially since majority of staff in jobs I worked recently are prejudiced and stick to their own ranks. ..most of the people "interviewed" are white - they may have born in Canada, their parents & grandparents may have been born in Canada OR their parents, grandparents or they themselves coming from countries where the majority of the population is caucasian e.g. Portugal, Poland - with similar religious backgrounds. Why did they leave Poland, Portugal, Greece or Italy? Why are they "more acceptable" as immigrants, than others? If for example, mass immigration had come from Russia (or G:)d help us Romania) - what would they say?

Honestly could be so much worse but it is unfortunate to imagine a close knit majority white town completely changing for the worse because the government wanted to bring in a foreign people instead of prioritizing its own people.

Countries with massive populations should be at the bottom of the list for immigration. It's just common sense, we already have 1.5 BILLION indians, so why would we want them migrating in large numbers to other countries too?! The same applies to Africans. From a practical standpoint, White-majority nations should be protected from demographic change. We've benefited enormously from these countries, and any rational person would want them to stay as they are.

Can confirm the local Tim Hortons to me in north east of England (which is for now majority white) started off with about 50% white employees then after bout 6 months was usually 0% white. They went bust a few months ago though.

"Many Indians say that they do not like Canada, weather, religion, food, etc "a recent poll said that less than ONE PERCENT of Single Indian women will ever date a non-Indian Canadian citizen". I am curious who gave you the instructions to never date White Canadian Men? And I am extremely curious about the wave of Single Indian Ladies moving to a country filled with a population of men that you find unattractive and uninteresting to know. "Why would an attractive single Indian Lady that dislikes White Skinned Men, relocate to a Country where the a majority of men are White Shinned ? " Can you tell us the Truth please. As a Canadian, I work in healthcare in the disability sector, and I am extremely frustrated with what I am seeing the Indian population taking over the sector. There are ongoing issues with Indians who cannot communicate clearly in English with clients. This has resulted in serious confusion and, on several occasions, situations escalating into violence. Clear communication is essential in healthcare, and this failure puts vulnerable clients at risk. Clients are not being provided with proper meals that meet their dietary needs. Instead, food is often prepared without consideration for the client’s usual diet, which has caused clients to become physically ill. On top of that, basic food safety practices are not being followed at all. To make matters worse, the company does not provide proper foodsafe training, despite it being a legal requirement. There are also major professionalism issues. Some Indians arrive late to work—sometimes by hours—and give excuses with no consequences. I have documented these incidents and reported them to upper management, yet nothing is done. During shifts, 90 percent of Indian staff sit in the office for long periods, leaving clients unattended except for basic cooking. This can go on for days until white staff are scheduled. One incident that really stood out involved a client returning from a doctor’s appointment. When I asked how it went, I was told the client “had something on his head” and needed to use a cream. When I asked what the condition was or whether it was contagious, the Indian staff member did not know what the word contagious meant let me remind you I work in health care. I later learned from the client’s mother that it was a fungal infection information that should have been clearly communicated immediately for everyone’s safety. I am exhausted by the lack of standards, accountability, and training in this workplace. If you are going to work in healthcare in Canada, you must be able to communicate effectively, follow food safety laws, show up on time, and provide proper care. Lowering standards for the Indian population puts vulnerable people at risk, and management allowing this is unacceptable. If your coming to Canada follow are values and beliefs are stay in India.

I used to come to Brampton in 2008 for shopping because they had a lot of outlets then. It was already majorly South Asian/Indian then. It's probably been like this for 30 years. This isn't new. Most of the GTA has been like this for many years. Whites were becoming a minority for the last 20 years country wide due to birth rate even before the cost of living crisis. Foreign people are more family oriented than us. A child free lifestyle is unusual for them.

I live in Brampton. And all I can say is thanks for visiting and spreading the word on this problem. I was born in Brampton, and my mother tells me about how much it's changed. Many of my friends and family friends have moved to other neighborhoods POST mosques being put up near their homes. And let's not talk about employment and foreign "students". I was lucky to get a job last summer at a family owned small business Ice Cream store right after high school. We even got a review saying we weren't diverse enough despite us being a group of White, East Asian and Black employees lol. And many people say if your not Indian and your getting your drivers test, you go out of Brampton to do the test because you'll likely get discriminated by who is running the test. It's absolutely absurd. It sounds like tin foil hat sh*t, but if you live here like me everything comes full circle. But ofc there are good ones, but they are typically the westernized ones, who have assimilated, they play or watch hockey and have developed a Canadian accent. But the majority haven't assimilated, they are likely first generation, and they do things like stuff 15+ people in one suburban home. And just small things like staring at you in public (idk why their community stares you down), they spit on sidewalks, and they use some crazy a$$ spices when they cook. The smell carries over for blocks and you know your in deep Brampton territory when your driving and that smell of spicy curry hits you and you gotta roll up them windows lol. It's a nasty smell. This mass migration is a huge issue and needs awareness.

Religion has nothing to do with immigration, why missing up all this ...let focus on Immigration politics and fixing what broken instead of pointing fingers. everyone is taking opportunities as majorities of Canadians other otherwise white, African, India or Asian we are all immigrant except native people. so let fix the issue we are having with immigration and government politics and irresponsibility's ... government must focus on peoples instead of group of peoples interest
