The reason khalistan referendums happen in Western countries it's because if you try voicing your opinion in india, you will be murdered or jailed. Cow dung is treated better than freedom of speech there. No different from the free tibet protests. Largley peacefull, and non-binding referendums.

I'll tell you a little secret - Indians in the rest of India also despise the Brampton set, who are mostly from random villages in Punjab. Not least because most of the remaining Khalistan sympathisers (a terrorist group who wanted Punjab to become a separate homeland for Sikhs) are based here. The Khalistanis committed numerous terrorist attacks and atrocities throughout the 70s and 80s, before finally being put down for good in Operation Blue Star in 1984. Their remnants have wound up in Canada, still pushing for a terrorist ideology and independence movement in a country they've not lived in for years. Even the leader of the NDP is a Khalistan sympathiser. Diplomatic relations between India and Canada have been frosty recently for this reason.

First learn the difference between Indian and khalstanis. Most of these people are khalistan supporters about which India warned Canada since decades. Indian people do not get involved in criminal activities. They worked hard, pay their college fees, pay their taxes & contribute in economy unlike khalstanis.

I want to say one thing shortly, if this Sikh people in Canada today calling Punjab instead India as their motherland because they want khalistan. I’m an Indian, and let me state the reality clearly. India has repeatedly warned Canada that many individuals seeking asylum there include criminals facing serious charges or jail time in India. Some exploit the Khalistan narrative to falsely claim political persecution, allowing them to gain asylum and citizenship. These networks have contributed to gang wars, drug trafficking, and rising violence in Canada. Khalistani extremists have a proven history of terrorism, including the Air India bombing Canada’s deadliest terror attack. If Canada genuinely wants to curb shootings, drug cartels, and organized crime, it must treat Khalistani extremist groups as terrorist organizations and stop offering safe haven to criminals. This is not about Sikhs,peaceful people. The problem arises when criminals and extremists are protected under the guise of activism. Canada’s continued refusal to extradite such individuals reflects a failure of policy, largely under the Trudeau government.

Canada has a long history of ignoring India’s warnings about Khalistan. They give asylum to extremists just to shame India, but in the end Canada itself suffers. Many Indians think moving abroad changes everything but my own friend, an engineering graduate, is working as a cashier in Canada while he had a good job offer in India. Indians, have some dignity. Don’t blindly chase the Canadian dream.

Sad to see the racist comments both in the video as well as in the comments. There is no doubt that Canada took too many immigrants in the past 5-7 years. The reasons are many - and the blame goes on both the provincial conservatives and federal liberals. The tuition freeze in Ontario caused colleges and universities to treat foreign students as an ATM to balance their budgets. Foreign enrollments skyrocketed, especially in colleges, with students paying top dollar for dubious degrees with no job prospects. This put strains on the job market, and the housing/rental market. As an educated Indian-American who now lives in Canada, it pains me to see my fellow countrymen dominating Uber, Uber Eats, Bicycle food delivery and Tim Hortons. No one uproots everything in their home country and comes all the way for this. Most of these people are here legally and they work really hard. A last word - leaving aside the Khalistan issue that has caused a wedge between Hindus and Sikhs - the Indian diaspora, especially the Sikh, are amazing in the amount of charitable work that they do. Their concept of seva is unmatched. No one goes hungry when there is a Gurdwara around, as there is always free nutritious food. Same is true for temples. Even a young poor Steve Jobs ate at Iskcon temples. Last point - while some of Canada's problems are because of excessive immigration, Canada would be nothing without immigrants. The population would decline, with a native fertility rate of under 1.4, and entitlement programs would be in deep trouble.

This makes me question all of his videos. Its a lovely place to raise a family. Things got worse in covid with mass immigration. But this is selective journalism. Canada needs immigration, it's its refugee and asylum seekers who are a liability. Also as a sikh Indo Canadian. I couldnt care less about Khalistan.
