Even the Indians resent Indian migration because they left India to get away from Indians. Mass immigration doesn't work for anybody. Just asking how the indigenous people felt as a minority because of influx in f Europeans. And how does the Pakistan people assimilate by wearing hijab and demanding halal at every food joint. I'll tell you a little secret - Indians in the rest of India also despise the Brampton set, who are mostly from random villages in Punjab. Not least because most of the remaining Khalistan sympathisers (a terrorist group who wanted Punjab to become a separate homeland for Sikhs) are based here. I’m from Ontario and I’ve slowly watched my home town turn into new delhi since covid. Brampton has always been especially bad. If I wanted to feel like I was in India I would go to India, when I’m Canada I want to feel like I’m in Canada. A once great country being ruined.

It's so paradoxical that the indians back in India and abroad are projecting different outlooks about immigration and assimilation. I think it's absurd. In recent India, they look down upon immigration in India and complain about the lack of assimilation of immigrants to the diverse Indian culture. But abroad in another country as immigrants they want to protect their culture and do not want to assimilate to that country's culture or way of life. 😅 The comments about equality of humans, non discrimination etc made me laugh so much.. Ask them about the caste discrimination in their society, anti-conversion laws, attacks on sikhs, muslims, christians institutions/places of worship, and how they treat african students & other non-white races in India to have a better understanding on their views. 😂😅

As a person living in India, my appeal to the Canadian people is don't let "asylum seekers" from India into your country without proper vetting. Legal migration of skilled labour is one thing you shouldn't be looking out for. They're already westernized. What you need to look out for are those that immigrated illegally. Please deport them, honestly. A lot of these self declared asylum seekers are people who've commited serious crimes here in India and running from the Law.
