I don't know what these khalistani people want first they have came into Canada illegally for their better life and when they manage to live a good life they claimed that they want khalistan .what Do they think a piece of game . Punjabis have separate state , their own chief minister, own parlament and they have everything of there own . Why do not any punjabi in India ask for khalistani bcz no one want it . you have to understand one thing, the Sikhs are a minority in there own country...India. we are being killed in mass numbers by our own "people", having genocides committed against us. there is alot of politics involved between the Sikhs and India, we want our own country and they want to keep us oppressed.

The majority are Sikh. Almost no problem with them. Sikh are not like your average rural Indian and have been fighting against aggressive Muslims for centuries.

Punjabi Sikhs are actually nicer Indians than regular Indians

It's no fair to say that Sikhs don't assimilate. They HAVE to dress that way for their religion. Except for the Punjab, they stick out in their own country - and many of them aren't happy about it. The whole idea of it is for Sikhs to be conspicuous. .

The problem is not immigrants but rather not picking the right immigrants. Canada, being predominantly Christian, should have given preference to skilled Christian immigrants from countries where Christians are being persecuted. Instead, you preferred Sikhs, Hindus and Arabs who don't remotely share the same values as the native Christian population. There you go!!! That's the problem.

It just looks like the Canadian homeless are just shooting themselves in the foot by not utilising these, communities and their free food and stuff. Ofc these all might just be for the cam and they discriminate non Indians who try to enter Hindu or Sikh temples, Idk .

Hindus and Sikhs indulged in violence against each other and saw communal riots in Canada in 2023. Indian govt infact has started assassinating naturalised Canadian citizens from India, who are deemed to be "threat" (tick off the hindu nationalidt govt in power). I know some folks, including my neighbour, who immigrated to Canada right after high School — they take services of immigration agents who have contacts with diploma mills there, get a student visa citing enrollment in a sham educational degree, join a minimum wage job and rig the whole process to attain PR & then citizenship — essentially giving low skilled, poorly assimilated labour the citizenship in Canada under guise of skilled or educated immigration. Even as an Indian, the whole situation is insane and astounding to say the least. Hindu Nationalism has spread its roots & conducts marches in Canada within the Indian Hindu areas like they do here in India and people have started performing river aartis as well (communal prayers to worship rivers) — all kinds of pernicious identitarianism is festering there. A ton of Indian immigrants now see Canada merely as a source to better life & resources, but relate to, & are patriotic towards India or assert their rawer religious Sikh or Hindu identity due to lack of any assimilatory pressure & absence of a well defined Canadian identity. Funniest part is Indians, esp Hindus, who vote for hindu nationalists ushering majoritarian policies in India, cheer for persecution of minorities and justify caste system, suddenly co-opt liberalism & decietfully use its talking points to defend their position as a minority in places they migrate to (they do not believe in so, and don't apply the same standards to themselves). If you wish to blame someone, blame the govt of Canada and its elites. At the end of the day, they wanted cheap manual labour, and opened the gates without much consideration.

Sikhs are actually nice people. Every single person has some or other compulsions. Nobody moves to another country for fun, they migrate for better lifestyle, healthcare, benefits, income etc. Stop demonizing these people just because they're in Canada and not being white. Perhaps, ask yourself what your ancestors as whites did in the past to Indians, sidelined with Britishers & looted our wealth for 200 years and made us a 3rd world country.

tbh if much of the indian diaspora in canada are just indian muslims and indian christians then the canadians would be more happy as even just the indian christians alone are ppl that the native canadians themselves can easily connect with due to canada's long term history as a christian majority country and canada once condemned india for killing sikhs in its own territory and idk how will the native canadians react if much of indian diaspora are the country's minorites such as muslims, christians, sikhs and etc rather than majority hindus and this is already something that kinda exists in canada although much of the indian diaspora unfortunately are just hindus rather than the country's minorities but ofc not telling im from india or not cuz im not willing to reveal what country im from ;-;

99.99% of alleged asylum seekers from India are Punjabi Sikhs, most of whom end up in low wage jobs owing to a lack of education and an inability to read, write, or communicate in English. I live here , no mention of the violence between the Sikh and Hindu groups (even parking lot riots) and the religious stuff put in the creeks and the Credit river and rooming houses generally do not allow cooking so trash from takeout every where they eat while walking home and throw it beside the sidewalks and in 30 minutes I could drive you by dozens of food trucks near bus stops and now the highest car insurance in Canada I have Indian friends and neighbors who complain about it

Canadians im coming there too, i am a British Sikh man. But i have no intentions on living in Brampton or any other densely populated city with Indians and Muslims. Canada is going to soon get a large influx of British Indian's, because the Muslim's are taking over the government. I plan to get out before we are prevented from leaving. BC, middle of knowhere 😍

As a Sikh, born and raised in the US, this is an opinion I've had since this KHALISTAN stuff began. We go to Canada if we miss India, because it's basically become MINI PUNJAB LOL. Another note. The Khalistan topic is all nonsense. I don't know why SO MANY CANADIAN BORN and AMERICAN BORN SIKHS support or push for this. IF YOU PLAN TO MOVE BACK TO KHALISTAN, for sure support it. Don't push an issue you would not commit to. Plus, no foreign born would comfortably move to KHALISTAN, if it existed, due to the lack of opportunities. My parents left India for the lack of opportunities (legally). They knew Punjab has no future, since the Indian nation shrunk it's state borders, and we become a LAND LOCKED state. If this LAND LOCKED COUNTRY were to be established, everything would be ridiculously expensive, and Khalistan would be lucky to become as "successful" as EXPENSIVE Switzerland. It's illogical to support Khalistan on an economic standpoint.
