People irrespective of their ethnic background are Canadian if they are Canadian national. However, if those Canadian nationals are livid with migration control because it disfavours their ethnic kins from homeland, then they are prioritising ethnicity over nationality which already an integral threat to Canada.

Canada needs to crack down on this as soon as possible. This situation is getting out of control! How is the government letting so many people in on fraudulent documents and then not even deporting them?!?

supply and demand at work here. this immigration issue should be blamed on corporations that want cheap labour that they control everything about. hold tim hortons and their ilk accountable. now stuff has got tough for everyone immigrants, students and citizens. companies have turned win win to lose lose lose.

As a Southeast Asian, I can understand why countries like the United States, Canada, or those in Europe are concerned about immigration levels. Wanting to prevent any single immigrant group from becoming disproportionately large is not necessarily about racism, but about maintaining social balance and protecting opportunities for the local population. Many Asian countries feel the same way—we would not want large numbers of foreigners, whether Russian, American, or from elsewhere, to migrate in such a way that they dominate job markets or significantly alter the local social structure. This perspective applies universally, not just in Western countries. From this viewpoint, it seems reasonable for countries to manage immigration by maintaining a balance between native citizens and immigrants. Setting limits or proportions for different immigrant groups can be seen as a way to preserve social stability while still allowing controlled and fair immigration.

Many of the foriegn temporary workers brought in are run by owner of the same ethenicity probably because they can have more control over them as well as it being cheaper.

Housing and health care for Canadians are out of control, something needs to be done and if this is what it takes then so be it, one of the main reasons is too many immigrants allowed in to the country. Canadian youth born here simply can not find entry level work, I am not anti immigration, I am for limited immigration with better vetting.

Immigration must be controlled. You don't want Immigration to overwhelm the native population otherwise the culture will change. Canada wake up!!!

Trump has been effective with the southern border, but we never hear about our (USA) northern border, which is 3 times the size of its southern counterpart and apparently recognized as the LONGEST International border IN the WORLD! It makes sense for smugglers to use a different means for entry once the previous method gets controlled. I hope the US government is paying attention and doesn’t turn a blind eye to our northern border like they did with our Mexican border.

Those are the consequences for opening the gates for immigration too wide for far too long. It's high time they start being more selective on who gets to immigrate and lower the number for at least a few years to get things back under control as this is Canada, either you assimilate or go back from where you come from.

Canada’s government is out of control. Immigration levels have exploded far beyond what housing, jobs, and infrastructure can support. With roughly 2.9 million temporary residents in the system, affordability has collapsed rent, food, and services are stretched to the breaking point. When permits expire, people must return home as the system was designed, not be quietly rolled over. Immigration has to match capacity. Bring people when there are jobs and homes not when the cost of living is already crushing everyone. Fix Canada first, then expand responsibly.

Why does the govt never never never ever do anything that the majority of Canadians want? We want, the economy, immigration, crime.pipelines, natural resources harvesting, trade with US and on and on. They never do any of these. Immigration is never and should never be a long term policy for a stable nation. Nations build internally. Nations protect the demographic interests and clear majority control for the native population. ALL Western immigration is deliberately aimed at NOT doing that, and in fact is aimed at destroying that. That's a crime. Also, read "Canada in Decay" by Ricardo Duchesne for the actual history of this issue and the repeated betrayals of Parliaments no matter which party was in power.

Lol, there is no division at all. Even Trudeau himself called his own immigration policy out of control, that he needed to get it back under control before he was voted out of office.

I love how we have brought millions of new "skilled" Canadians into the country and they say there's not enough workers with skills to run our upcoming projects. With that big of backlog sounds like you need to shut the program down until you get caught up. This seems quite mis-managed, who was in charge for the last 10 years to let this spiral out of control so badly?

I work concrete, you know the majority of the new homes built that raised prices of houses was Indian investors. 1.5 million dollar homes. For 15 years straight. They control the housing in canada and are the reason we can't buy homes at affordable prices
