How dare you bring up healthcare, you know how messed up our system already is. As a nurse, and I’m not saying that people do not deserve to come to this country, that is absolutely not what I’m saying. I’m saying that our healthcare system is burdened, how can we take care of other people when we can’t afford to even take care of anybody here at this point. Do you know how many patients I have who have immigrated to Canada and their elite 60s and 70s, can’t speak a word of English and didn’t contribute anything to our economy yet their family members leave them in the hospital because they can’t walk and talk the way they used to, and refuse to take them home.

What an excellent video! As an immigrant, I embarrassed de culture and costumes, but I noticed that many immigrants just repeat here the same things they hated back home. It makes no sense! And it makes even less sense, that the government uses taxpayer money to help everyone else but Canadians.

it was about 5 years ago i had some 'car scene buddies' with nothing better to do so apparently they took up the hobby (for the summer) of calling out pan handlers in canada saskatoon sk. the lady they exposed wore (whatever nationality) robes , a visible minority. they observed you exiting a new bmx suv (male driver). once they called her out she moved to another location where they recognized and exposed her again. diversity is not our strength, liberals saying "we're all immigrants" is ignorant. my ancestors and all those who came before, came to canada with nothing. no federal financial assistance, no housing, no hand outs. just sent west to undeveloped and unpopulated lands. the pioneers that came and built canada to what it is today lived in poverty in extreme conditions and worked themselves to the bone to provide for their families and build and settle canada. these new 'invaders' are not the same as the pioneers who built and shaped canada

In India, education and civic sense are still a threshold to be met at par standards- then there's oecd lvl which is above the avg standard😅. - Early immigrants were merely functionally literate...though managed being less in numbers. But today Why don't these 1st world countries set criteria for visa just like a strict driving licence which includes more than basic English, how to stand in a line, how to throw garbage in the bin, where to park your vehicle, no loud music, and no public processions if they don't relate to host country. It would have worked fine. Then there's fugitives being granted refuge in UK and Canada. How can they expect social order with ageing demographics?!

In the 80s when I was in university, sociology professors claimed that the immigration system was racist, because certain people weren't welcome. (Yah, the people who wouldn't fit in because their values and customs were so different) They said Canada only accepts people who benefit the country! Imagine that! How aweful. 😅 In the next breath they said they welcome people who will do low paying unskilled labour jobs Canadians don't want to do.

I am shocked at the fact there are more dislikes than likes when the CBC provides facts and so many people say they are lies, and others agree! The negative sentiments about refugees and immigrants are getting louder and people are happy to call fellow human beings “them”. They insinuate this is a huge burden, when the fact is we benefit from migration. It seems people think Canada will be over run by people from a foreign land, take all the resources and eliminate people born here, but that’s only happened once, when the British and the French arrived 400 years ago.

Look at the government spending on illegals migrants is shocking. Immigrants come to Canada withlot of hardship. Language, assetts, qualifications, experience etc.etc. We did not come by just walking. After landing in Canada we were not given resources to live here. Nothing at all. BIG ZERO. Jobs were not given so easily like the illegals entering the country.

I'm a immigrant , we come to Canada , paid our education , build a business here hire Canadian worker , paid all my tax and never take a welfare penny from Canada .. There are always two sides of the story. When British and French went from starting trade with indigeneous to brigning their families and settling towns on their land, they must have had the same feeling. Europeans just didn't stop their they openly slaughtered and put small children in residential schools where many lost lives and are still living with generational trauma. India was doing fine before british came in and lynched the economy to feed industrial revolution in west. I have seen Finnish, croatian, greek, polish, italian, german cultural centers and businesses serving their communities in Canada. Can we also say that they should assimilate in Canadian culture? What is even Canadian culture? It is the "The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms", read that thing and the history if you are not familiar. I do acknowledge that there is massive influx of immigrants in a short span which govt. did to compensate for labor needs but they did not invest in infrastructure and orientation of immigrations. I have worked with Canadians in their 60s vs 20s, there was a huge difference in work ethic. My white manager relied on me and my another friend for closing or opening shift than some local preveliged kids. I am in support of deporting illegals but let's educate who are here legally. Collaborate with communities to voice out your concerns and look at the positive impact immigrants have made in past decades.
