I feel this video does cover what's happening but don't answer the question why its happening. Here's what i think- To start with - A major population of indian immigrants in Canada come from two provinces/states - Punjab and Gujarat. From Punjab - Most of the population who migrates to Canada are villagers. They are notoriously famous in Punjab cities as well for creating trouble. They have no civic sense, always getting involved in illegal stuff, some use drugs, no etiquettes, poor hygiene and very arrogant sometimes. Another thing, Canadian government over the years stopped taking in-person interviews and got lenient with rules for gaining a visa especially for students which doesn't make sense and one should be catious so of what kind of people they are letting in their country. This leads to letting in a bunch of wrong people who are already a troublemaker in Punjab and then represents a bad of side of Indians. A side note - Every Indian province is very very different and not all people are same in India. It's definitely a shit situation which shows Canadian government definitely needed a better way to handle immigration. A lot of international students has been exploited by the system as well if you get to know from there point of view as well. Seeing the thumbnail and title of this video shows what kind of a person Tyler is. Without a proper research and understanding, he just made a video to appease people who hates on Indians. Title says Invasion, is he for real? I see way more Chinese immigrants here in Canada than any other nationality. Punjabi Indians are to be blamed as for creating a bad picture for themselves but hating on whole country without knowing them feels prejudiced. Im a Canadian and honestly I've NEVER had a problem finding a job, I don't even have my highschool... I think it has to do with *which* jobs they are applying for. I get that theres an "immigration" problem, the refusal to adapt and assimilate feels like a slap in the face especially when the same few will talk I'll of the same system they benefit from. HOWEVER I don't think it's good to lump all of these problems together and dump collective blame on immigrants. For 1, all this immigration and policies have happened under a liberal government and y'all voted then in, AGAIN. - clearly you're not THAT desperate for change. 2nd. Are the ones saying they can't find work willing to work in trades? General laborers making $25-$30+++ No experience required. Tradespeople are glad to teach people willing to work hard and learn.. What about warehouse work? Apply to your 5 closest warehouses, I guarantee youll get in 1.. ALSO the government IS willing to help Canadians get little certifications like forklift, smartserve, CPR.. Career colleges can help with training (e.g - computer) as well as soft skills. So yeah, I wonder if it's people being just as picky as they were when Canada wasn't in the economical shitter it is in rn? Maybe Im far luckier or fortunate than most? Maybe expectations are too high? Maybe some stubbornly refuse assistance they are entitled to? Im not sure, but I do sympathize/empathize with you guys, I hope you all can "get through". It's not race that makes countries great or bad. Since there is just one human race. Its the culture that makes places great. Culture or shared ideas among the populace. Specially ideas of being open minded, living and letting live, freedom, being tolerant etc. These are the best ideas or culture that if held long enough by the majority of the people will turn that place into a great civilization indeed. Every great civilization of history was built through this culture in history. persian empire, macedonian empire, roman empire, british empire and now the united states etc... were/are all very diverse and very tolerant of indians and their ideas... cultural exchange of ideas through indians and receiving diverse viewpoints which helped them become great. However great empires, great places and civilizations never last. They fall down. They fall down once the culture changes. which is natural since culture is not static but dynamic, since it exists only in the minds of people, it can change in the same generation, or in the next - all it takes is replacing existing ideas with other ideas in the minds of people large enough. This is what we are seeing happening in canada and India... a shift of culture. The same culture of responsible for turning India into a terrible country is being adopted by canadians. Meanwhile for the past few decades.. india on the other hand has been adopting the better culture and growing slowly and steadily with many mistakes and hurdles along the way towards a brighter future... slowly because its huge... steadily because it knows where to go.... mistakes and hurdles because its an open democracy... If this cultural shift keeps continuing this way... There will come a time where canada would look more like afghanistan and India will look like the us or scandinavia... However i hope thats not the case. and its just a phase that does not lead to some significant revolution in terms of peoples thinking.

I lived in Canada for 11 years, 2008 - 2019, went to university and worked in Toronto. I come from an upper-middle class family in China, went to a top university in Canada, landed good jobs and I speak English like a native. I got my PR in 2015 and I remember the painful uphill battle I had to go through just get that. All the bureaucracy, redtape, unnecessarily rigid rules, high cost and long wait I received from CIC/IRCC felt like a humiliation to me. Every document was scrutinized and every step had obstacle that fealt unreasonable (my TOEFL examiner ask me why I had to do the language test required by CIC, and I had to visit a notary to validate my Chinese national ID card). It felt uneasy but I understood that these were the rules that everyone had to go through, and moving and integrating into a new society was never meant to be easy. I went back to Canada in 2021 and 2024, and it was evident that the country I once called home had gone down the hill. The streets were screaming crime, unemployment, inflation, drug and filth, it's total social rot. As someone who went through the whole immigration process (and many of my friends who went through the same have left Canada for good, like myself), I attribute much of this to failed immigration policy. I cannot help but feel confused, angry, betrayed and humiliated when I look at the recent immigration policies of Canada and their results, and compare with what I had to go through. The feeling sums up to: Canada penalizes the hard-working and law-abiding people, and rewards the undeserved and the cheaters. Example: when the US creates wars in the Middle East, why does CANADA bear the cost of bringing in refugees? I never regretted moving back to China and East Asia, and I feel bad for those who still truly think of Canada as home, as I am one myself. When the leadership of a country deviates from pragmatism, reason and common sense, and instead embraces idealogies, hypocrisy and political optics, this is what happens. The prices are paid by everyone, immigrant or not. For this, Trudeau deserves a court trial for his incompetence and dereliction of duty; and the people of Canada need some honest and serious retrospection. I will share some words of wisdom by the late Lee Kwan Yew: “Whoever governs Singapore (LKY was the PM and founding father of Singapore) must have that iron in him. Or give it up. This is not a game of cards, this is your life and mine. I've spent a whole lifetime building this and as long as I'm in charge, nobody is going to knock it down.” I hope the clownish weakling politicians in Canada (and, in much of the western world nowadays) can be enlightened a little bit.

I am a Korean international student studying in Canada. These types of news makes me really frustrated.. I heard that due to these reasons, immigration officers has been taking very long time to process study visa permits. I 100% agree with immigration officers that they need to carefully review the applications, because I also think things like this shouldn’t happen in any countries. But, I’m getting frustrated because this is delaying innocent international students’ visa process as well. I’ve finished my undergraduate studies and I decided to pursue master’s under a professor i met in my current university. I was very excited to study the field, and i applied for study extension visa months ago, and still haven’t gotten any updates from IRCC. So I couldn’t get enrolled in Fall semester. I’m still waiting, and i really hope that i can continue studying.. luckily my professor understood this situation and he said he can hold a position for me, but i’m still very anxious about all the situation. I hope all people who come to Canada are honest and don’t do illegal things. I really want them to realize that they are affecting students who just want to study. They are taking away the opportunity for others to learn.
