As a non Indian Canadian born and raised I’m disgusted where my country has gone. Our population has doubled since 1980, not by birth rate, but because of the amount of Indians that have immigrated here. Unfortunately, they have no desire to assimilate, they bring their own culture and they stay in their own communities. The government offers tax breaks for businesses, hiring foreign workers over people born in Canada, leaving the youth without any part-time work. On top of that some of my favourite restaurants growing up, I haven’t eaten at in years because it’s been taken over by Indians, the quality of food goes down, you end up getting food poisoning and if you aren’t in their community, you get worse service and get charged more than what an Indian would pay at the same restaurant. They don’t understand cleanliness or sanitation, they leave their garbage and waste on the street and dump it in random locations, and quite frankly have no respect for anyone who lives here or the country that has taken them in. I feel like a minority of my own country and I truly don’t understand what being Canadian means anymore because I’m pretty sure being Canadian is a thing of the past. Most of my friends have moved further north, to Vancouver island or moved out to the prairies to get away from them and higher prices as everything gets more expensive, thanks to our government, caring more about immigrants than citizens. When a family gets accepted to come here they bring their parents their aunts and uncles their brothers and sisters on temporary visas, they also collect social assistance as soon as they arrive and when their visas expire, they have no desire to go back, which has resulted in thousands of illegals remaining here. I mean I get it. Why would you go back when you’re getting treated better here and are given food, housing and an allowance every month but it’s gotten to a point where India outnumbers Canadians. I want them all sent back.

As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? This will fracture Canada if everyone does that. Do you want this country to become so fractured & terrible that your descendants have to leave for a better country, like you did? Is that what your religion teaches you? Does it state it's perfectly fine to satisfy all your whims & wishes at the expense of others? Are you striving for Canadians to think badly of your race/culture? Are you being a good ambassador to your race/community/culture/religion? Canadians are so friendly & helpful, if you need help, just ask, please don't demand. Learn the language & it's ok to speak broken/pigeon English with gestures to communicate. No one expects you to be an English scholar; you gain respect for trying. Apply some basic Canadians manners, which goes a long way... I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!! We should lobby for a mandatory course that all newcomers have to take & PASS a test about Canadian culture & expectations. If they fail, no citizenship for sure! So essentially 3 tiers of Indian come(Hamiltonian here who worked in the GTA for awhile) They got pumped in and don't like eachother and look down at the lower tiers ones. They won't even hire other Indians anymore since they have the options of only their type. They erased several industries at this point, most small business are forgien owned, Indian or middle eastern. They can't drive (just google India driving) theirs a couple feet of snow and they just floor it around sliding through intersections while playing candy crush or what ever Every business that is fast food place is almost exclusively Indian to the point the "white point game" isn't even playable. They buy up insane amounts of properties because they bring thier entire family on different visas and many just stay till they get deported as they bring that money home with them. Every student housing is filled with Indians, every one bedroom has 30 of them living in it. Most starter homes where cheap so they bought them to flip with thier combined money. Security sector is filled with them exclusively because it's the highest amount of money they can make here without any skills .(Most are 0 skilled). Schools all had to cut staff in half because when we cut funding and spots for people coming to our universitys they lost half thier income. Crime rate went way up. My city is really bad for human trafficking and aex trafficking. Many come to our city since it's far enough away to commit crimes. Many get 0 consequences because again.. Illegally overstaying a visa is deportation. Doug Ford literally gave everyone 200$ before an election...like how corrupt and garbage is this country. Now we have Indian only business that can't speak English, similar to the daycare issue. Job postings for specific races or language s only. Mind you everything just stated is also being done by the Arabs and Somalis and Nigerians. Many of these people coming here are "escaping dangerous situations" Wich means criminals who want to start again. Somehow these people with 0 resources have the money to buy million dollar properties 😂 Also don't forget, it's a hate crime to say or do many things about this and could land you in jail or worse. The problem is immigration back in day was a luxury in India so only riches made it outside and they were rich compared to others after independence because they were more pro british and served them. So it was easy for them to immigrate and assimilate into your culture. Now you see many poor people also immigrating because immigration became more accessible, its just like the touchscreen phones, before only rich people had them, but later and now everyone has it. Plus your overly liberal and the stupid point system lets anyone enter the country if they meet a specific criteria, they barely check their english, background, crime record, etc. Also, living in India is a survival, or a nightmare for short. Especially for the poor people in the up north, and so they go to these shady agents who claim that they can send him or her to Canada, UK, Australia where ever they want in exchange for some money. Sometimes these agents turnout to be scams and sometimes not, then these students apply to some fake university that has no campus in Canada and select a course thats easy. Then once approved they come to canada, don’t go to university and make some other indian friends who say they have contacts with some job providers and through that the students get their jobs at the fast food joints and shopping malls. The mindset with which these students come to Canada is that I want to get a simple job as soon as I land in Canada and through that job I can get a PR. They never go to assimilate or discover the culture, they come because the country looks nice, has resources, and will provide them with a good salary so that they send some money back home to their parents as compared to low paying jobs in India, which too are super competitive. They still like the indian way of life, the culture, the food, the attire, just not in India. Thats why you’ll never see these students eating at anything other than a Indian Punjabi Restaurant or a fast food joint, they will never make white friends, they will never try to change the way they speak and look at Canadians, they will never try to change their driving habits. In conclusion, more poor people and students migrating, paired with their mindset of “I want everything to be Indian just not in India but in a place that looks better” paired with their low interest in actually learning and working better jobs is what makes them a bad immigrant group. But thats not to say that all are like that its only some and mostly Punjabis/ other North Indians that have this mindset. The reason why the Indian group in USA is much better and successful is because they are mostly of south indian descent. Those people are far more educated, actually respect the law of the land. And fun fact: The stereotypical Indian Accent originated from USA mainly and reason why many indians say that they don’t speak in that accent is because that particular stereotypical accent is present in Indian people who come from the states of Andra Pradesh and Telegana, which is is where most of the Indians in USA are actually from. Accountability should fall on the Government of Canada. They stopped screening properly. There used to be a point system that determined who could immigrate, and it actually worked. I’m of Pakistani descent, born and raised here, and when I’m in Brampton and walk into a Circle K, people start speaking to me in Hindi or Punjabi right away — it’s a trip. At the same time, I’m not saying everyone coming is bad. A lot of international students and new immigrants are hardworking people who want to build a better life. But plenty are also gaming the system. The real issue is that Canada messed up by letting in too many at once, with no structure to help them assimilate. When there’s no integration, no surprise people just act like they’re back home.
