Who really wants to work? Especially on Mondays and Fridays! Honestly, I'd prefer to collect unemployment, live in my mom's basement, smoke weed, play video games, and complain about all the hardworking Indian folks. It just seems easier than putting in the hustle. I don't understand what the problem is. If someone wants to work, we should let them. Clearly, we have different priorities. Those people who are escaping from wars or genocides or poverty to find a better opportunity to be able to feed their families abroad, you have no consideration for what brought them here or what they had endured and you want to let them endure more above their struggle to survive all the inconvenience in a capitalist frozen country! Please try to be nice to each other and teach one another how to live respecting one another boundaries and culture! a country with many nationalities is multicultural and multiculturalisme can’t exist with racism and discrimination. Im a Canadian and honestly I've NEVER had a problem finding a job, I don't even have my highschool... I think it has to do with *which* jobs they are applying for. I get that theres an "immigration" problem, the refusal to adapt and assimilate feels like a slap in the face especially when the same few will talk I'll of the same system they benefit from. HOWEVER I don't think it's good to lump all of these problems together and dump collective blame on immigrants. For 1, all this immigration and policies have happened under a liberal government and y'all voted then in, AGAIN. - clearly you're not THAT desperate for change. 2nd. Are the ones saying they can't find work willing to work in trades? General laborers making $25-$30+++ No experience required. Tradespeople are glad to teach people willing to work hard and learn.. What about warehouse work? Apply to your 5 closest warehouses, I guarantee youll get in 1.. ALSO the government IS willing to help Canadians get little certifications like forklift, smartserve, CPR.. Career colleges can help with training (e.g - computer) as well as soft skills. So yeah, I wonder if it's people being just as picky as they were when Canada wasn't in the economical shitter it is in rn? Maybe Im far luckier or fortunate than most? Maybe expectations are too high? Maybe some stubbornly refuse assistance they are entitled to? Im not sure, but I do sympathize/empathize with you guys, I hope you all can "get through". I don’t disagree that people on a student visa should go back once the visa expires. a lot of responsibility falls on IRCC and immigration/ government to actually have everything regulated and documented. IRCC is impossible to get a hold of. Applications open people apply.. they get in and then the government forgets about them… the students and work permit people once they land have no idea what is going on. No place to live.. mental health.. tons or restrictions. Don’t invite guest for a sleep over if there is not extra bed in your house. Say the guest then decides they can just sleep on floor or sofa and you keep letting it happen over and over with no boundaries but also just say that they are not welcome. So again it’s the person who invites the guest who is responsible for clear cut communication, deadlines etc
