It’s because some immigration consultants sell the PR. It’s becoming a scam. Canadians don’t even get jobs. Young people don’t even get jobs. And Canada now is has lost its integrity as a country. How about that government suport Canadian financially to and encourage them to bring babies? Here is a aggressively neutral take as a Canadian elementary school teacher in an area with an extremely high Indian population (around half our school is ethnically Indian). It is also my own opinion, and some opinions on the internet suck: The good: Cultural integration IS possible (the Indian families are more into hockey than the white families where I live), tons of cross-cultural friendships, beautiful blend of cultural celebrations, top achievers are almost always second-generation immigrants, kids are growing up to love their parents' culture while also loving Canada's, many fantastic families who engage their children well and raise them very respectfully, religious temples that will feed an amazing meal to ANYBODY who walks into them (as long as you cover your hair), low rates of family trauma (drugs, abuse, divorce, etc.), families that take care of their elders The rough: Not all families are interested in being Canadian (some families just send their kids to Indian speaking private schools, live in Indian areas, and only seem to practice Indian ways of life - what's even the point?), many Indian families retreated into their home-lives during Covid which removed their children from integration opportunities, a very small percentage of the families are absolutely TERRIBLE at parenting and treat their sons and daughters with different levels of respect, multi-family households pay a single property tax which makes the contribution per taxpayer much smaller (while social benefits are equal to anybody else), some crime such as extortion and gang activity has been imported into the country, some individuals' disregard for rules and laws (setting fireworks on Diwali in the middle of a dry, grassy field is just plain stupid), some Indian communities seem to vote blindly for their own ilk during local elections without any regard for policy or experience, LMIA immigration program has been corrupted by the nepotism of bad actors and the greed of large corporations (wages can be federally subsidized which makes it cheaper to hire immigrants than the 16 year old down the street). Many of these families were simply making good choices for their own family, so don't blame the people themselves for this - blame the government that allowed it to fester unsustainably. I'll continue to stick up for the majority of these beautiful families though - haters be darned! Watching these kids grow up gives me some hope for humanity!

The only people who profit from this insane immigration are lawyers and fake colleges. 30 years ago an immigrant had to be a professional with proven skills, you had to speak the language and be ready to integrate and contribute. I was in UK for 4 years and the reason I came back to India is there are just so many immigrants that locals their have developed an anti immigrants sentiment . You don't want to live in a place just for a bit more money where you don't feel you belong. I believe people should be free to go and work in any country but through legal channels and respect that country's culture and try to integrate

See, not all immigrants are bad. Canadians are not against immigration in this country. The last generation of Sikhs were good. Worked hard. Assimilated into the Canadian culture. The new ones were a bum rush by Trudeau to keep the GDP numbers up while he robbed the country. I have Sikh friends who feel the same way. They feel like the new “students” and business subsidy abusers are ruining everything the old immigrants built. The new ones are ruining the reputation of the ones who have slowly integrated into the Canadian way of life. Don't sweat people , the state we are in right now it's not a bad governing ,everything was design and decided I think in 1996, and look at the news from around the world, it's everywhere ,Europe is completely flooded by immigrants which will never integrate with their culture . Governments don't even want to fix this problem ,those corrupted officials are in fevered of multicultural world without religion and national identity .Without fight and blood on the streets nothing will be changed , I root for Alberta to separate, maybe other provinces will open their eyes then.

It took me 5 years to get into Canada legally, I assimilated , Integrated and it's high time everyone do the same no more temporary nonsense. These levels of immigration are unsustainable everyone is doing it for the cheap subsidized labor that was the whole point of this mass immigrant scam to bring down the price of wages.

I lived in Brampton for 25 years, so I would like to weigh in. We definitely have an extremely large indian population here. There are a lot of upsides and downsides to that. Some of my best friends are Indian immigrants, some of the people I hate the most are also indian immigrants. With any large group of people, you will always have examples of exceptionally nice people, but also horrible people. Something I noticed a lot recently is that newer immigrants are a lot less interested in learning about Canadian culture, norms, and integration. A lot of my longtime indian friends learnt the Canadian culture, Canadian norms, and wish to work with Canadians. They celebrate christmas, are respectful and polite, and are otherwise outstanding Canadian Citizens. A lot of the newer problems in Brampton can make it unattractive for others. Lots of loud music blaring, street racing waking you up at 4am in the morning, fireworks at 3am for no apparent reason, etc.

They destroyed the country. You cannot even afford to rent an apartment or even move around for a job. If you leave Toronto for a contract job outside of the city and move somewhere else for a little while, you will be homeless when you come back. To we are pretty much screwed in every moving around to try and gain experience to get ahead. And there are profession where you have to move outside of the GTA to get experience. Canadian students can barely get a entry level job with a two year diploma, yet they allow International students to study things like a 2 year diploma in Business, which no one can ever get a job with, and on top of that, they told them they can apply to become permanent resident . How does that even make any sense? Does any politician in this country have two working brain cells? I'm so sick of this country, I desperately want to leave ...I'm a immigrant and my parents came here in the glory days of the 70s, where people from other English speaking countries were given priority and were expected to fully integrate into Canadian society
