Also the lack of English speakers is fcking annoying as hell, especially when they are in a job that makes them have to serve the public. The amount of times that I have ordered food and that person not understand what I want is abysmal. Also @3:50 that is now reality in my city too. My own born and raised Canadian brother legit can't find a job even in neighboring cities.

I have been in public parks and watched as non-English speaking immigrants leave their trash littering a park! Where they do not respect personal space. I want to live with people who are interested in being Canadian and respect the cultural values and norms of Canadian citizens, NOT those who plan to come in and take over. As a non Indian Canadian born and raised I’m disgusted where my country has gone. Our population has doubled since 1980, not by birth rate, but because of the amount of Indians that have immigrated here. Unfortunately, they have no desire to assimilate, they bring their own culture and they stay in their own communities. The government offers tax breaks for businesses, hiring foreign workers over people born in Canada, leaving the youth without any part-time work. On top of that some of my favourite restaurants growing up, I haven’t eaten at in years because it’s been taken over by Indians, the quality of food goes down, you end up getting food poisoning and if you aren’t in their community, you get worse service and get charged more than what an Indian would pay at the same restaurant. They don’t understand cleanliness or sanitation, they leave their garbage and waste on the street and dump it in random locations, and quite frankly have no respect for anyone who lives here or the country that has taken them in. I feel like a minority of my own country and I truly don’t understand what being Canadian means anymore because I’m pretty sure being Canadian is a thing of the past. Most of my friends have moved further north, to Vancouver island or moved out to the prairies to get away from them and higher prices as everything gets more expensive, thanks to our government, caring more about immigrants than citizens. When a family gets accepted to come here they bring their parents their aunts and uncles their brothers and sisters on temporary visas, they also collect social assistance as soon as they arrive and when their visas expire, they have no desire to go back, which has resulted in thousands of illegals remaining here. I mean I get it. Why would you go back when you’re getting treated better here and are given food, housing and an allowance every month but it’s gotten to a point where India outnumbers Canadians. I want them all sent back.

India is not actually filled with these kind of people. there are poor and rich here both suffer with this country. but the rich understand and are are very well educated to understand the locals and support their country. but idk what's wrong with Canada that they leave the north Indian's ( basically 90% people of this part of region are not very friendly and are very badly educated about things only the top 10% of this region really understand things and even they suffer with this and the allegations some of them for just being the same religion ) and because of them the other people of India who were going to America/Canada for better meant of the country they go to , get with this and get rejected. its just my opinion and the things I have seen going around me.

You are right brother! Me too , it makes me feel sad when I see the speed with witch this country's shining color is fading away in this 10 years I have been in it! I love Canada more than any other place since l was accepted here being stateless , My little family has no other culture , we embraced a canadian one and we are confident to have well chosen!

I remember when my family immigrated here over 15+ years ago and my brother was only 1 years old. 2 weeks after coming here he slipped on the floor and cut open his forehead on the hinges of our door and he was bleeding everywhere (he later had to get 6 stitches to fix it), my father was out working and we didn't know how to contact the police or hospital because we didn't have a home phone yet. We used our neighbors and the ambulance came and I strictly remember that because we didn't have our health cards yet they wouldn't start work even though my father said he will pay when he gets there. I remember my mother and I feeling helpless while my 1 year old brother was bleeding out (the hospital staff tried to stop the bleeding with cotton ball and bandage) and I distinctly remember that they did not start helping my brother even WHILE my father was paying but only started work after the bill was completed. Even though my family felt helpless at that time and we felt it was unfair, we never blamed Canada because it was their policy and they have every right to follow protocols. So it makes me angry to see people who walked into our country illegally getting far better treatment than my family ever got even though it might not be anything as life threatening as ours was. It makes me angry that our hard earned tax dollars are used to help people who have no motivation to help the country that gave them asylum during war.. It's actually the opposite as a lot of these families call their free housing "disgusting" and compare it to "living like a slave". I'm angry because little girls at my brothers own school are getting shoved and assaulted by refugee boys as young as 6-7 and are let off with a simple "don't do that again" and a meeting with the parents. This is not the Canada my family came to love and call home so I can't imagine the hardships of Canadians who are living here for 3, 4, 5+ generations 😔😔

I have a sister and brother-in-law (old people) living in Brampton and they and other ‘traditional Canadian’ love their Hindu neighbors.😏

If elections were honest if they were we canadians rooted ones at that queen put my family here in canada after the wars grandfather fought and won both wars to give me what I had and now immigrants have taken that over government and people today wouldn't exist with out my grandfather . Politions dont know what war is... or how it reflects all candians still today . A lession to all politions get back to work . And have some respect . For people who got uou to where you are today . Immigration not problem , i am immigrant and now Canadian citizen i used to save money, now i have no money whatever i earn go into bills. Soo much of tax. I can’t even rent a basement maybe just a room. I told everyone not to come to canada. My brother payed 40,000$ in education with single day job. So he thinking going back nothing here. And its everywhere not just in canada

My brother works for immigration Canada, he said that although Carney said immigrants are deported, but in reality his government is bringing in more Asylum refugees into Canada, which means Canadians will have to take care of them with their tax dollars. Carney told the immigration workers not to tell anyone about this.

Just wanna say, cause I don't think its said enough, I commend the journalistic integrity that you started out with and maintain throughout your work. Thank you for your commitment to hearing many sides of the story. My brother is a journalist in NYC and he also amplifies voices that are so often drowned out by louder, flashier ones. As a Canadian, who was born in South Africa, but have grown up in BC since elementary school, I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity this country has given my family. We all work hard to build on the values shared in this nation. I love learning about aspects of Canada that I am unfamiliar with, but ultimately help shape its identity. 🙏
