I don't know about Canada, but there are no such cultures in America - well, the Church has bought a lot of land but does nothing to serve people. The Mormons have land and a strong daily schedule, some community churches have very strong programs, but as a whole, The Church has done nothing to make itself appealing and therefore, there's no opposite or equal force. What to do? and as far as assimilating, yes, they should, but to what? Should they start playing hockey, drinking beer, etc. The second gen might. I’m 49 years old and grew up in the UK. I was always proud of our multiculturalism growing up about 1/5 of the classrooms were of another country/race. Everyone loved the immigrants they came in worked hard and didn’t cause trouble, most importantly they intergrated. But something changed with this new wave of immigration. It’s sad being a born Canadian and watching the land I love turn into an income battleground. Nobody wants to hire someone with the thought of training. They want people with experience but won’t give the experience to those who lived here and need it. They’d rather hire someone from somewhere else that has experience and then fails to follow through as the born and raised person given the opportunity would. They went on to build the country but they were minorities fighting the occasional racism on the street (as the woman in the green t- shirt says). Today, as a result of Trudeau's naïveté about the level of corruption in India, there's a huge influx of relatively unqualified Indians arriving and not being able to assimilate into Canadian society because they do not have good job qualifications. They end up living in ghettos and turn to crime. We must fix that by being much more selective of Indian immigrants. As someone of the Indian diaspora, I'd also like to say that there are those Indo Canadians ("brown folks") who want nothing to do with the Brampton or Surrey ghettos. Many of us are completely secular, having no religion and share nothing with these people fighting around temples and yelling at each other in Punjabi or Hindi. We speak English and French and vote in the elections.

Because we were raised in so much peace and we were protected so much from fighting by the ones who fought the most to get here. Through their protection and confidence that their sacrifice was enough....we were never taught how to fight for our rights. We were fed the lie that their sacrifice was enough. It's sad to see after 100 years all of that blood shed was still not enough. Lest we forget. We have always been treated as a company, but with respect of our growing culture. Now we are treated as a commodity, and being stripped of the culture here and replaced by people from around the world fleeing their own, but wanting to bring it here to our home. By the reverse promise that by leaving their home is going to make it better AND it hasn't and that's clear.

They bring their country's political problems and make Canada their battle ground. If you want to fight for a separate state in your old country stay there and fight.

I want all my money back that I paid taxes for and you took way too much off my cheques if it’s my country and my career and I don’t approve of the last 58 years of being taken for granted need a great lawyer fighting for me

We as Canadians allowed this to happen we didn't fight back for what was our right and now this has happened and ppl are complaining about it. if you want to fix the problem we need to band together and force the government to change.
